" It's not always that people will be against you"
"... it's not everyone who is right nor everyone who's wrong. People can change. Learn to forgive one another and reconcile".
Have you ever felt the urge to yell out your feelings?
Have you ever felt too restricted to be free to enjoy the life you have?
With the devastation overtaking the little life you have in your heart.
Nina Zhang felt that way when she faced tragic situations that lead to her feeling excruciating pain in her heart that crashed her soul. Fear that's built from grudges and regret from unforgiving hearts. Nina fights her way to teach her parents and those around her the way to forgive in an unexpecting lesson to remember that lead her to the path of rebellion.
The story begins about a young 18 year old girl named Nina Zhang. Who lived in China in the capital Beijing.
Nina lived with her parents. Her mother was a well known doctor in China as Doctor Zhang, her father was the prime minister and was appreciated by everyone for the great service he gave for the country. They were a rish family and Nina was famous for her beauty and intelligence.
Every month her family would be interviewed on how they stayed together and happy, how doctor Zhang achieved her goal, how prime minister Zhang provided wonderful solutions to the government regarding the problems faced in the country. Right after the interviews they would be showcased on television and respected as a 'perfect family' but we all know that sometimes what's displayed on screen isn't the actual thing in reality.
Nina was the only child of Mr and Mrs Zhang. She was 18 years old in 12th grade. She lived in luxurious but comfortable home that had everything a girl would ever want. She attended an elite school famously known in the country. One could say at first that her life was great but after all the smiles she gives were just things she used to hide the pain. Like every protagonist,Nina sets on a journey to find herself and her life but not every story goes on well but yet still meaningful. All started to take a turn especially after everything started on a new year -2023.
On the 31st of December 2022, on a full moon, Nina decided to sit under a Ginkgo tree. She sat with her puppy Luna and gazed at the night sky, enjoying every detail of the stars , the colour it intertwined with the sky and the night breeze.
Soon it was going to be a new year, she listened attentively to the twitting birds, the bustling of the city, the hooting of cars, the barking of the dogs and the beaty tune that played. It surprises her how people can manage to stay up till midnight awaiting for the specific time the clock ticked on. She couldn't blame them,it was indeed a special occasion to them. Right now it's 23:59 p. And everyone is counting down along the screens for a new year. The big screens run the time.

Everyone clapped and cheered as it was finally a new year ,2023.
Nina wasn't really interested but seeing everyone smile over something like this made her chuckle. She enjoys sitting under a tree waiting for the stars to appear alongside a bright full moon. She usually snicks up at night when her parents are asleep or too busy to even notice so she comes at the century park with her puppy. She left her parents discussing something in her father's work room. Peace. She thought. But unfortunately for her it was abruptly interrupted when her neighbor ,Ms Wang called. She sounded scared through the phone and it worried.
"Nina where are you?"
"I'm in my room, anything the matter"
"God, can you please stop lying"
"Fine, I'm at the park"
"Hurry home Nina"
Right before she could ask what happened , Ms Wang ended the call and with urgency, Nina rushed home with Luna closely behind.
********
When Nina arrived she heard yelling. With a panicking heartbeat, she opened the door and lots of things were broken into pieces. The vases and all the wedding photos of her parents were thrown on the floor. She watched as her father run to get a frame that held a picture of her mother feeding her father some wedding cake and throwing it to the ground, smashing every piece of the glass.
Nina's mother only stood there and watched with silent tears flowing on her eyes with her head lowered. Ms Wang stood besides her mother but she looked shrunken in fear.
"What the hell is wrong with you Lily!?"
Her father yelled at her mother and he kept on yelling at her.
"This is all your fault that this marriage is breaking apart. Why did you leave without my permission in the first place, huh? Now because of you my name will be ruined and everyone won't look up to me anymore. Nina shouldn't see your face ever again cause you are a terrible mother to her. So please....."
Taking a deep breath,he raised his hands pointing to the door and uttering the last words that ended everything.
"Get out of my house!"
Nina and Ms Wang gasped, both covering their mouth. Nina's mother only stared at her husband and signaled for Ms Wang to pack her belongings. Ms Wang was very shocked and seemed reluctant but nonetheless she left to pack.
Nina couldn't describe the pain she was feeling. All came rushing like a gust of wind .
Five words, just five words that ended this beautiful family. She ran to her father, holding a shred of Hope in her that all this might just be an act. She grabbed on to his hands and looked straight at him.
"No father, why are you chasing mother? Tell me it's all a joke. Where will she go this late even?"
But her father didn't answer a single thing nor did he look back at her. Still with a burning determination, Nina run to her mother and hugged her waist.
"Mother! What is happening? Please don't leave. Please resolve whatever with father."
Yet not even her mother replied to her.
Ms Wang packed Mrs Zhang's belongings and they began walking to the door. Nina tried her best to stop her mother from leaving but nothing in her power could she do . The only thing that remained in her mind was why that had to happen especially on day like this , that was supposed to be great.
The whole morning, Nina stayed up and looked through her bedroom window straight to the full moon and replayed what occurred in her mind over and over again. She was greatly saddened cause what happened wasn't what she expected. And just when she thought things couldn't get any worse , what her father did the following day was even more surprising.
