By the next few weeks, the town was silent. Everyone was on high alert. Guards were posted everywhere, people were patrolling at night. Dogs were used to check the ambush location and to track down the culprits, but the trace ends up in the nearby river.

The Hunting party was stumped. They can't find any leads at all. So for now, they increased the towns' security and remain vigilant.

Vi teaches me more words and we make more gestures. I can communicate better with her know with out made up sign language. We are careful not to be found out by our parents. It would look weird seeing a baby doing hand signs.

I also train my body, stretching my little arms, legs and trying to stand up. I think I would be able to stand in a few more weeks.

I tried writing, but my writing is so bad, doing hand signs is so much faster. My little fingers struggle writing the letters. Still, I keep on practicing writing. If I keep at it, I'll be to write better in the future. Practice makes growth.

Vania tries to tell me the history of Valis, but I could not understand her properly as my vocabulary is limited. So she teaches me more words each day.

Our days go by without any issues and I wish it would continue to do so. I am not yet ready for any major confrontation. I could teach V the Old Way fighting method, as soon as I learn to speak.

For now, strengthening my body and learning language are at the top of my priorities. I pray to God to protect me in this vulnerable times.
