Milo was halfway through blinking as everyone around him freezes as an elderly lady shouts "What the hell do you think you're doing. Has anyone tried talking to the boy!"
"Meemaw is here!?!" Rudy ask his sister quickly, "why didn't you tell me she was coming?" he hisses.
"Don't you dare think about teleporting away Rudolph Yates!" his grandmother shouts a heavily beaded sandal slapping him in the back of the head as he doesn't dare try to avoid it knowing whatever came next would be worse if he did.
"I'll deal with you in a minute" she says as she approaches Milo and looks him up and down "a blind man can see this boy can't hear properly. He's bleeding out his ears!" Ruby and Rudy's meemaw says loudly before looking at one of the people on the ground and pokes him with her cane as she gestures to Milo to watch.
Kneeling down she lays a hand on their arm and the man's bloody broken nose heals itself. "There. See?" she gestures at the healed nose then to Milo before standing at approaching him.
"Meemaw he's got a knife." Rudy says teleporting in front of his grandmother holding his hands up to stop her.
"Hell boy I'm a hundred and thirty one years old. If the goddess wants me she'll take me" she says cracking her grandson in the forehead with her cane and pushing him aside before she continues on her path to Milo who makes no move against her but remained guarded given there was the group that came in earlier still standing around.
"Now boy let's see what we can do about this" Ruby and Rudy's meemaw says smiling as she lays a hand on Milo's forehead his injuries quickly fading as she healed him with her word.
Able to hear again Milo looks at the elderly lady, "thank you ma'am," he says.
"Now does someone want to explain to me what the hell is going on? I just got off a double shift and wanted to buy a few groceries before I went home, and was nearly eaten by a fucking dragon. Someone explain what's going on or I'm going to lose my fucking shit!" He says loudly as he stands up a bit projecting his voice across the hall
"Don't look at me. You idiots fucked up somehow," Ruby and Rudy's meemaw says as she walks to an empty chair and sits down, "I think I'll be enjoying the show from here" she adds as she pulls candy from her purse eating some.
