Chapter 2 - Master and The Fan

If you ever ask a 17 year old Han Zhiyun if he ever had any interest on taking in a disciple, the young hero would respond with a frown before bluntly speaking "Why would I take a disciple? Being a master sounds troublesome. It's like being a mother but you're also teaching your kids martial arts."

The current Han Zhiyun currently 32, couldn't agree more. If he and his past self were to ever meet, the younger would probably squint his eyes at him and brand him as an impostor.

By that time Han Zhiyun wouldn't even deny it, because 'why did I accept disciples again?' He himself doesn't know. It would be one thing if it's only one, he can just blame it on impulse, but six-SIX. How in the world did he manage to get that many.

He doesn't even belong to any well known sects, he has a criminal record and he barely has a copper on his name. Yet these six individuals still wanted him as a master.

Something's not right.

From the very beginning doubt was planted on both Han Zhiyun's brain and heart. It didn't take long for that doubt to sprout into confusion and bear the fruit of acceptance.

Acceptance being his disciples weird behaviour. And once he accepted it, the next thing he felt was curiosity.

...

Han Zhiyun sat on a stool while his six disciples kneel on the ground with both their arms raised. He moved his gaze to his first disciple and the oldest of the group.

As expected Yin Jun's face was red. Heat? A fever? Allergy? No. Han Zhiyun has thought of it all and has even examined the boy's body but found that nothing was wrong.

This young master of a somewhat well off family decided to follow him after he saved him from drowning. Of course he declined several times but the youth was persistent, even going as far as following him to the steepest mountain on the North.

In the end he had no choice but to accept him as a disciple, especially since his parents offered him some gold that was enough to build a medium sized manor tucked away in the mountains.

Though the young master didn't have any prior training, he was a fast learner and adapted well. It didn't take long for him to master the sword and make his own techniques.

Han Zhiyun was truly impressed. Yin Jun was a good pupil, hardworking, diligent, and didn't complain at all when the only thing they ate for months were sweet potatoes. If you ask Han Zhiyun about this pupil's bad quality, it would be put into three words.

Too much nosebleed. And again he found no strange illness on the boy's body which makes it more strange. What makes it stranger was Yin Jun only gets nosebleeds whenever he was there.

He checked if it has something to do with his Qi, but found nothing amiss. When he couldn't bear it any longer and asked his disciple. Yin Jun replied with a small blush on his face "Master you don't have to worry about this good for nothing disciple. It's just that-that whenever master is close, this disciple gets a little excited and blood comes out..." "..."

To test this theory he stepped closer to the boy and without a doubt, blood came spurting from his nose. "..."

Yin Jun who was kneeling with his head down and arms up could feel the stare of his beloved master. It didn't take long for the boy's face to heat up and a bit of blood oozing from his nose.

Jing Chen who was kneeling beside him could only stare at disgust, but of course he didn't pay attention to his junior brother.

His master was staring! Han Zhiyun was staring at him! His favorite character was staring at him!

Of course for the span of 8 years he's been with his master, one would think that the excitement would burn down but it only lit up even futher.

'Ahhhhhh Master is as handsome as always. Even though I can't see it master is always handsome! I want to go back to my room and pray at the shrine dedicated to master!'

If Han Zhiyun had the ability to read one's mind, maybe all of his problems would've been solved.

Who would have though that inside this young man's brain lived a crazed fangirl who suddenly crossed dimensions one day. Not to mention that the first thing they saw was the face of their favorite character giving them C.P.R!

If Han Zhiyun knew he would've had a Qi deviation and the whole mountain would've exploded. Luckily the other had no idea and only thought that his first disciple was...weird.

"Yin Jun"

"Yes master"

Han Zhiyun wasn't even suprised to see the boy lift his head, his nose already bleeding.

With a sigh Han Zhiyun defeatingly said "Take some of your junior brothers and sisters to chop some wood while the other tidy up the place."

"Yes! Anything for master" Yin Jun energetically said as he hopped back into his feet.

Just as Yin Jun got up, a handkerchief was handed to him. "Wipe your nose first"

Yin Jun beamed as he received the piece of cloth like a monk receiving Buddha's blessing. "Thank you master, this discple will bring you the most high quality wood there is. Even if I have to cut all the trees and fight the animals for their territory!"

'No you bastard. I just want wood, ordinary is enough. Don't ruin the ecosystem!'

Han Zhiyun wanted to scream but couldn't do so as he opted for a smile instead.

"Xiamei, Wei Xiang, the two of you come with me!"

"Eh why me?"

"No way! It was junior sister Yu who damaged the wall why am I the one going!?"

Yu Xinyi who was quietly staring at her senior brother was secretly preparing to throw a dagger before she felt Jing Chen tapping her shoulder. "Junior sister Yu, don't. It's not time yet."

With a disappointed scowl, Yu Xinyi hid the dagger and acted like nothing happened. Li Jie who was near the two could only stare with a deadpan face.

It didn't take too long (exactly a minute) for Yin Jun to get annoyed as he dragged the two by the ear.

Han Zhiyun who watched half of his disciple leave, sighed. He went back to his quarters and left the cleaning to his remaining disciples.

As he walked to his quarters, his feet suddenly turned into a halt. He realized that he's stopped at Yin Jun's room. Now that he thought about it, his disciple never left his room unattended.

Not only that, he even developed a specialized lock made to open by Qi just so no one could even enter. Han Zhiyun once paid a suprise inspection at every disciples room and strangely enough when he went to Yin Jun, it was empty.

Though he did saw the cabinet door ready to burst, but before he can question that, he was distracted by Wei Xiang's sudden scream (turns out the boy was afraid of roaches.)

Standing by Yin Jun's door, Han Zhiyun was slightly curious and wanted to take a peek. Of course he should value his disciples privacy, but...this was a lifetime chance! Maybe the answer to his questions was beyond this door! The reason why his disciple is always acting weird with him around!

Han Zhiyun opened the door without a sweat. The lock effortlessly unbind and Han Zhiyun didn't take another second to slide the door open.

The door opened and it closed just as fast. Han Zhiyun redid the lock and quickly strode off to his own quarters.

He didn't see anything. Nothing at all.

As Han Zhiyun closed his eyes, he ignores the countless afterimages of his face plastered on every furniture. It didn't take long-exactly an hour for Han Zhiyun to wake up with a cold sweat and a migraine.

Seriously, what's wrong with his disciples???
