Chapter 3 - Master and "Sistem" with a Y

Deciding that sleep wasn't an option, Han Zhiyun got out of bed and opted to check on his disciples. After checking his appearance on a nearby mirror, he gave a small nod of approval before sliding the door open.

He forced his feet to take root on the ground as he bit off his tongue to prevent it from shrieking. Luckily he already mastered a poker face and with a calm voice he asked.

"Jing Chen do you need something?"

There stood in front of him was his second disciple. This young man who was the 3rd oldest among his six disciples has a weird habit of appearing out of nowhere.

"Master, Senior brother and the other's have returned. We've also finished cleaning up the mess. Sister Yu and the others are fixing the wall as well."

He reported smoothly, going over the important details and skipping the unnecessary ones. Jing Chen doesn't tell unnecessarily information like a table broke, his brothers and sisters fighting and another hole on the ceiling this time.

Hearing the reassuring words from his most responsible disciple, Han Zhiyun couldn't help but nod in approval as he pat Jing Chen on the shoulder.

"I see, good job all of you. Let's go and see your brothers and sisters then. They must be exhausted, let them take a break first."

Han Zhiyun stepped to the right, passing Jing Chen. At the same time Jing Chen also moved to the left and blocked Han Zhiyun's path.

Left, left, right, left , back, right, forward, back.

The smile on Han Zhiyun's face twitched. No matter how he sees it, it seems that his disciple was intently blocking him. With an ounce of a barely audible annoyance, Han Zhiyun spat. "Disciple why are you blocking this master's way?"

"I do not know what master means. It seems that this disciple's and master's action are weirdly in synced today."

Bullshit!

Han Zhiyun smiled. Jing Chen was his most responsible student and most mature. He was also quite stubborn. No, not quite-he is VERY stubborn.

Han Zhiyun had watched Jing Chen stare at the air for more than an hour. His expression going from sadness to anger and just randomly smiling before frowning at the end.

He knows all his disciples are weird, except for Li Jie. Their youngest is the only one with a sane mind. While Yin Jun's strange behaviour consist of blushing and extreme nosebleeds, Jing Chen on the other hand would just stare at air. Sometimes he would even talk to air and tap air.

After he does so, he would bother Han Zhiyun, urge him down the mountain where he would need to defeat a bunch of evil entity and save people.

It would always amaze Han Zhiyun how quickly Jing Chen gets ahold of news. They were in a secluded mountain, in the West. It had to take at least 4 days or even a week for news to travel here.

Of course he always accept those request, though he often pass it to his other disciples as form of training. Jing Chen doesn't like it though and often pesters him to do it instead.

Han Zhiyun doesn't doubt his diciples combat ability-except for Xianmei but the girl was smart so she'll be fine. Though Jing Chen, similar to Yin Jun with no prior knowledge, the other also learned in an alarming speed. Too alarming in fact. If Han Zhiyun wasn't there every session, he would have thought that the boy ate some heavenly pill.

When Han Zhiyun asked why Jing Chen and the other's can't do it, Jing Chen replied with a matter of fact face.

"Because it's master's fate!"

At that time Han Zhiyun just closed his eyes, took deep breathes and went to do whatever issue Jing Chen presented that day. In the end he couldn't win against a stubborn disciple.

When Han Zhiyun met the kid, he wouldn't leave him alone. He kept pestering him to go to North and handle the mountain bandits wrecking havoc on the village there.

Of course, even though he's been kicked out of his title, as a martial artist he still had a duty to fulfill. And maybe just maybe the kid would stop following him.

After beating up the pack of bandits, he received thanks from the villagers. Strangely enough, they didn't mind that he was Han Zhiyun, the crowned traitor of the central plains. In fact they even offered him shelter and asked if there was anything they can do to repay him.

Han Zhiyun naturally declined. "If you experience trouble again please don't hesitate to send a message. I'll hurry and help as much as needed."

As he spoke those heroic words, Han Zhiyun didn't notice the villagers moistening eyes nor did he sense a gaze stalking him from the back.

As Han Zhiyun left the village. Jing Chen happily rejoiced his first mission.

[Congratulations! The Protagonist Saving System has been fully updated!]

[Protagonist Han Zhiyun Popularity +10]

[You have been Rewarded with 'Teleportation' Skill!]

[With your current level, User may only use this 2 times a day.]

[Keep up the good work User! With this, Protagonist Han Zhiyun will be one step closer to clearing out his name.]

Jing Chen nodded as he read through the "sistem" with a y and checked his progress.

This "sistem" with a y suddenly appeared out of nowhere when he woke up after a day of begging on the streets.

He was quite startled at first. He even assumed that he went crazy from hunger. But minutes passed and the floating glass like creature introduced itself as a "sistem" with a y.

Ever since then he was given a mission to save The Protagonist-whatever that means. So he searched for Han Zhiyun and constantly pestered him to go to North where his first mission was located.

Of course when the mission was over, he still kept pestering Han Zhiyun to go Northeast where his second mission is and then the thrid, fouth and so on. He pestered the other like a mosquito.

Well he had no choice. The "sistem" with a y said that when he finished the mission, it would grant him a wish, no matter what it was. So he pestered the other till the end. Han Zhiyun got fed up with him and just took him as a disciple so he could say no to the child.

Now the two were having a match to see who would break formation first. Though Han Zhiyun was known as the youngest martial master, his ability would be evenly matched with Jing Chen's Lv.10 Teleportation Skill.

The two ended up going at it for half an hour before Han Zhiyun paused and retreated a step back. Naturally, Jing Chen stepped forward.

"Jing Chen how about you let this master pass?"

"Master can pass. This disciple wouldn't dare to block master."

Supressing the bubbling annoyance Han Zhiyun gave Jing Chen a warm smile.

"Now that I think about it. Didn't you want this master to go to the border of the Central Plains?"

Han Zhiyun could see Jing Chen's ear perked up as his eyes brightened. With a smile he pushed the remaining buttons.

"How about you pack our bags and we can go tomorrow afternoon? Doesn't it sound nice?"

"I'll pack right away!"

It didn't take long for Jing Chen to bite the bait and run off. With a slightly smug smile, Han Zhiyun brushed his sleeves and was ready to continue his visit when-

CLAANK

He whipped his head, the terrace window was open and the face of his second youngest disciple greeted his eyesight. A bowl of black goo which he now accepts as rice porridege fell to the ground.

Suddenly Wei Xiang pounced at him, grasping his legs and whining.

"Master you can't go to the central plains! No you can't! I won't let the prophe-anything happen to you! Master-"

As he heard the ear piercing voice of his third disciple, his migraine came back, this time with a headache in tow.

Closing his eyes in defeat. Han Zhiyun regretted going out of bed.
