"Ugh this body...so goddamn weak. "Xiamei grumbled. When she first opened her eyes to see that she suddenly became a baby, it didn't take her another second to realize that she's been reincarnated.
'Fuck. It finally happened! Did I pass out on my monitor while writing the next chapter? Eh, who cares, I don't need to worry about anything now that I'm reincarnated!' Oh how wrong she was.
The first person she saw upon being reincarnated to this world was a girl, probably 16 or 17 if she had to guess.
"Oh you're awake, that's suprising. Here I though it would be another failure." The girl smiled at her as she leaned on her crib. She looked lovingly at Xiamei, and the other smiled at her in return.
"Uah wa gah!"
"You're even energetic compared to the others, that's good." The girl chuckled, she patted Xiamei on the head before leaving the room entirely.
Based on the whole interaction, Xiamei was able to pinpoint three important details. One, the girl was wearing robes from ancient China which probably meant that she's in a Wuxia or Xiaxia novel. Two, the girl can either be her mother or sister–she hopes it's the later, the girl's to young to be a mother. And third, she has a loving family–Jackpot!
'Hehe...maybe I can even meet a handsome cultivator, preferably from the demonic sect'–a thought that didn't age well.
The next day Xiamei woke up and she grew? She quickly inspected her body and sure enough she looked like her one year old niece.
'But I was only a day old yesterday...'
"Oh you're already awake! Really suprising." The girl smiled though this time Xiamei couldn't return it back. There was something wrong–real wrong.
Now that she thought about it, she never saw her mother after birth nor did this girl looked like she gave birth at all considering how energetic she was.
"Here, eat this. I asked Lee and he said that one year old like this stuff, so here. Bye!"
With that she left a container of porridge on her crib before walking off and closing the door.
'What the fuck?'
The next day wasn't any better. Her growth seemed to doubled, her arms and legs became slightly longer, even her hair!
The girl came again, this time she had crackers on her hands. "Oh you turned two congrats! Usually, they die around this stage so we'll see if you're still alive tomorrow. Here, your lunch. Enjoy!" And with that, the girl disappeared again.
It didn't take long for Xiamei to put two and two together and come up with the conclusion that the girl was some kind of ancient mad scientist and the 'others' that came before her were failed test subjects.
'Fuck!'
And so, she grew each day. If she ever hears a kid say something like "I want it to be my birthday everyday" she would probably punch that kid–no guilt, no doubt, no thoughts, just punch.
Then the 16th day came. It was then that Xiamei knew the awful truth. During her 14th day trapped inside the room, the girl brought a mirror. In that mirror, her current body–a girl, aged 14, black hair and green eyes stared back at her. Seemingly enough, the girl staring back at her from the mirror, looked awfully familiar.
And then the 15th day arrived and sure enough her braincells were connecting the dots.
"Here, wear this. You take my place for the day. Don't do anything, don't say anything, just sit there, alright?"
The girl said, at that time Xiamei was still looking at the mirror dumbfoundedly. She didn't even notice how the girl dressed her in black inner robes and an oversized green outer robe. She even tied her hair into a high ponytail before muttering "Finished!"
Xiamei looked at the mirror. Her hands reached for the reflection and sure enough, it was indeed her being reflected on the mirror. The same hair, same eyes, same clothing, even the same face...SHE WAS A FUCKING CLONE!
"Now get out there and play your part. Escape–and you see this talisman, I'll activate it and kill you on spot! Isn't it simple?"
Xiamei almost cried. Her reincarnated life wasn't a jackpot, it was a total nightmare!
"From now on, you'll be Xian Ying. Don't disappoint me."
Even now, she can still remember that horrid memory replaying from the back of her head. She was really lucky that she managed to escape and find her son which was the main cahracter of her novel.
'Still, I don't remember writing that psychopath!'
"Oi, you're heavy, get off me! I want to eat! "
Wei Xiang complained as he thrashed around in an effort to get rid off Xiamei above him. In response he received a light punch from the other.
"Hey, what was that for!" He whined as Xiamei went to get up, dusting her clothes in the process.
"For reminding me of my awful backstory." Wei Xiang looked at her questioningly, luckily before he could even ask a question the door was opened–flying, to be more precise.
Han Zhiyun ducked while Li Jie dodged with a step.
"Master, you can't go to the Central Plains!' A woman's voice echoed through the room. On the entrance, Yu Xinyi stood with a resolute expression. Even with her clothes ragged and hair amiss, her delicate beauty was still visible as ever.
'Great, another one...'
Han Zhiyun thought as he closed his eyes in despair.
