Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Journey

They were moving at an immense speed. I wonder if this speed is even faster than a speed dragon. They are considered the fastest beast in the world, but I have my doubts if I see this. "We are here now." Where here? We are only moving for, I think, a view hours and I can't see the Gaia mountains yet. "Are you sure?" Luna asked. "Yes!" Isaiah said confidently. Luna released the diamonds retaining straps and spoke. "Now!" Luna Helt onto Isaiah really tidily and they jumped off the Sand snake on top of a dune. "Why did we stop?" Luna asked. Is the Sand snake exhausted or something? Or did he not like the snake anymore? Isaiah pointed at the ground. "You feel the ground? You don't sink into the sand like we did back at the village so from here on out we are able to walk further." Isaiah said. "But isn't going with a Sand snake way faster? Luna asked. "Yeah, that is right, but the ground is actually too hard for them to go through it." That's right when I first started walking in the desert I sank up to my knees. "But that doesn't mean the road will be less dangerous now there are still monsters all around here." Isaiah said.

"let's get going before it gets dark." Luna said. "hahaha!" Isaiah let out an ominous laugh. "You want to walk! No, that is not how we do it here. Can you make a... how do you call it? A rectangle thing? With your earth magic?" Isaiah asked. "Okey?" Luna said, questioning. Luna gathered her mana to create a spell. From the soil to the stone, root entwine, in the earth's embrace I shall find, steadfast and strong, as mountains rise, grant me your power, ancient and wise! Earth creator! And a rectangle shaped stone appeared in the air. "What do you want with it?". "Just watch and learn little girl." he said while he jumped up the rectangle stone. He slides down the dune like he was on a snowboard. Wow that is way faster than walking our way down. Luna created one of her own and followed Isaiah. There were only a few hours of sunlight left so we didn't come far. And the fact that luna had to make two new stone snowboards every time they needed to go up a dune. Because walking up a dune with it was way too heavy and it really wore Luna out. My mana capacity is pretty high but it is not like I can keep producing mana forever.

Luna made two earth shelters for them to sleep in. One big one, it was shaped like an ellipse for Isaiah and the luggage and a smaller one for luna herself. Right outside of the earth shelters there was a fire. Isaiah brought sticks that he had collected by the oases, sticks where unsurprisingly rare here in the desert and I assumed he stole all of them. Luna made the fire with her magic, the reason why we aren't frozen to death yet is because the closer we are to the mountains the warmer it gets. It is still indescribably cold but at least we don't freeze to death. Isaiah brought what looked like a sleeping bag out of his bag. "Here have this." he said. As he threw them at Luna. "Are these sheets really warmth enough?" Luna questioned. "It will blow your mind one's you lay down in it, this is not a normal sheet. This sheet is inflicted with a spell that keeps it warm just like the clothes." Isaiah said proudly. I just hope he hadn't stolen these too. Luna looked with a defeated expression. "Well, I am going to bed! Bye!" and he jumped into his little shelter. Luna also tucked into bed.

The next morning.

Early streams of light shined through a small hole in her shelter and landed right in her eye. She slowly opened her left eye. They made it through their first night. Isaiah was already sitting beside the fire. "Did you make this yourself?" Luna asked. "Yeah, with magic, but I almost accidentally burned all our luggage." Isaiah said while scratching the back of his head. "How long would this journey be captain." Luna asked. "One full week! So, let's get going!" He spoke with full of spirit. The rest of the week had gone smoothly, we climbed the mountains, we didn't encounter any dragons or any live threatening monsters. Luna was standing on the top of the mountain and saw a stone with a symbol that represented a mountain. "What's this for stone?" Luna asked. "That is an averring stone for the earth god. It is for people who belief in Maho." next to the stone there were coins and some food to act as offerings for the god. One's past the mountain it wasn't very far anymore you could actually see the city from over here, so they continued their journey.
