"Wow."
I gasped while on a cliff, viewing the vast greenery below me. I had been walking for an hour now, and yet I didn't feel tired. If anything, I felt more energetic than usual.
While walking inside the vast forest, I noticed the diverse biodiversity of the island. Deserts, jungles, forests, and plenty more. Different animals lived throughout the island, and every single one seemed unique, never seen back in my world.
As I sat down on the hill, still in awe, I noticed a distinct change on the edge of the forest. Curious, I asked Orlon, "Hey, what's that over there? The trees suddenly changed from light green to smokey gray with satin linen."
[I believe those trees would be petricite trees.]
"Ah… They look sick."
I jumped down and walked towards the direction of the petricite trees, arriving after another hour had passed. The island was bigger than I thought, even though I had been walking for hours, I had yet to see the other side of the island.
Arriving where the petricite trees grew, I halted as I was transfixed by the beautiful scene in front of me. The trees were smokey gray, making it feel like it was a fantasy, like it was a dream. The satin linen color of the leaves made it feel like I was in heaven, a place where no mortal can live.
I walked up and touched one of the trees. The texture of the tree was rough; however, the opposite could be said for the leaves. The leaves were the most enchanting, their beauty stunning me until I heard a loud sound coming from afar.
I looked to my right, where the source of the sound was, and I only saw the continuation of the petricite trees… until something stood up.
A giant gorilla stood tall, towering over the treetops. The gorilla stood over 18 feet tall with its complex muscles. The beast had white fur with golden eyes, and its skin was red with well-defined muscles.
Birds scattered with every movement he took. I was scared and about to leave until the colossal beast made eye contact with me.
"Shit."
The beast frowned, and with its anger, a sudden burst of roar from the beast made the nearby trees fly meters away. All except the petricite trees.
I ran without looking back, as I knew the gorilla was following me. Every step he took shook the ground, and the loud tremor made my ears feel like they were about to burst.
The footsteps finally stopped; however, I still kept on running. I did get curious, so I looked back and saw the gorilla carrying a massive boulder, ready to throw it at any moment.
"What the hell?! I thought there were no predators on this stupid island!!"
As I ran, a large shadow engulfed me, forcing me to look up. It was the giant boulder that the gorilla was carrying. I sprinted full speed and jumped at the last second, barely making it out alive.
Laying on the ground, I could still see the gorilla even after the boulder blocked my view. To my relief, the gorilla turned around and started walking in the other direction. I quickly got up and sprinted back home.
After a few minutes of running, I finally felt safe and stopped as I looked back with fear in my eyes.
"Damn… That thing is huge! It can probably reach my current house in minutes. I need to either move or kill that thing… But how the hell am I supposed to beat it?"
2 Hours Later
I finally made it back home as the sun was already going down. Through the two-hour journey from the petricite forest, I had been thinking about whether I should move or not. Although I would have to spend another 10 gold coins, my life is worth more than my gambling money. However, my current house is in a perfect location. It's close to the beach, close to a freshwater body, and it's easy to find food because of the gigantic fish.
Looking up at the sky, I sighed and said, "Well, I better get some food before it gets dark. I can't believe my first day in One Piece is already this wild…"
As I sat by a campfire looking at the stars, I suddenly heard a 'Ding' sound coming from my left. I turned to look at the source of the sound, and just as I thought, Orlon gave me a new quest.
[New Quest: The Hunter Or The Hunted
Will you become a hunter? Or become the hunted? Train to become a hunter and kill 10 land animals!
Time: 20 days Reward: Avatar]
After reading the quest, I got up and stretched and said, "Well, I'll start tomorrow then. First thing in the morning!"

Day 1 of Hunting
I woke up feeling dazed. The events of yesterday still felt surreal to me. Everything was crazy. From waking up in a new world, not knowing who I am—even the system has a name—and the fact that I almost died.
I stood up after looking at the ceiling for a couple of minutes. The bed felt comfortable last night, and the house made me feel safer than ever.
After I did everything I needed to do to get my day started, I began to stretch and think of plans on how to hunt, as I had never hunted anything before.
"Let's get started!" I said with a grin on my face.
After searching around for a couple of minutes, I saw a familiar face—my nemesis, the mom rabbit!
I hid behind a bush and waited for an "opening." That opening finally occurred after what felt like centuries. I leaped towards my nemesis, which she easily noticed and dodged by jumping to her left, making me tumble into a tree headfirst.
The three rabbits, after seeing me tumble like a retard, looked at me and sighed, then left. I quickly got up and rubbed my head in pain. However, I did not have time to goof around as I still needed to kill 10 land animals.
After my failure with the rabbits, I quickly scanned my surroundings, trying to find my new prey.
-30 minutes later-
My face was all bruised and my eyes and mouth being swollen.
"Thiff fufking animals" I blurted out as I tried my best to speak.
As I sat on the floor, cursing all the animals, I saw a squirrel get off a tree and sit right in front of me. The squirrel suddenly stopped and covered his mouth with his little arms, however, I still heard the "Pff" sound it made.
"Y-You! Fufk you!!!"
I yelled as I tried to grab a hold of him. However, he reacted fast and rolled backwards. He then again stared at my face blankly and then held his mouth, trying not to laugh. Nevertheless, the retarded squirrel laughed his ass off as I tried to call it slurs with my broken speech.
'Wait…'
Then something struck me. The rabbits, this squirrel, the birds, and the other animals I have met thus far had…
'Intelligence!'
With a shocked face, I thought, 'These guys have been ganging up on me, without being scared. Normally, these guys would flee when they sense anything unusual. But these guys laugh, sigh, and even get angry!'
I smiled and said to the squirrel
"I seef, you guyfs afe inteffigents!"
"Pfff"
The squirrel held his mouth again, and again he failed to contain his laugh.
"You baftard!!!"
