August's POV
Hearing Ellena's words gave me some relief; at least she won't mess things up. I stood up and walked away without saying anything to her. After this lunch, I have a lot of work to do, so I can't afford to relax any longer. I noticed Ellena following my steps; it seemed she understood even though I didn't speak.
During the ride, I could see her movements were awkward. The silence in the car felt as if no one was near me. The traffic jam made Ellena's face uneasy; it seemed she was worrying about a few things.
Sure enough, Ellena mentioned her work that needed to be completed soon. She was so diligent and hardworking. She didn't even take advantage of her relationship with me for her own benefit in this job. Though this attitude intrigued me, Ellena still couldn't be firm with herself.
