Chapter 7 - The great Wrath assembly begins!

Inside the assembly ground of the blood wraiths, a place known as:

Godfall Blood Palace!!!

Decorated with glazed glass tiles and golden domes, the atmosphere was extremely grand and majestic.

This was the first time Canaan had entered the Imperial Hall of the blood wraiths, and he was deeply astonished. He did not feel like he had entered a massive palace, but instead felt like he had stepped into another world brimming with a voilent and heroic aura.

"The bloodmoon princess has arrived!" Announced several broad voices in tandem.

The seats in Godfall Blood Palace, were nearly filled and those prideful Blood Wraiths of their respective territories all acted cautiously within their capital city Orcus, not daring to even talk too loudly; For it was the home of the royal clan!

Talia, Canaan and their Imperial escort had arrived days ago, and they had even come to the Godfall Blood Palace many hours ago but as the royal clan they would only show themselves before the start of the ceremony.

Following the shout from the guard in front of the hall, the noise within the Godfall Blood Palace quickly quieted as numerous gazes shot towards the main entrance of the hall.

Shockwaves rippled across the grand hall and everyone could sense the change in the air.

BOOM!!

There was an explosion of devil energy, and countless noble knees bent and kissed the ground beneath them with a resounding thump.

"We welcome her royal highness!"

The sky above the hall was suddenly wreathed in the light of crimson flames as a gigantic blood coloured raven appeared amidst the fiery sky.

Its wings were spread wide and it let out a long cry which tore through the air. After this, it suddenly descended from the flames, leaving a long scarlet curtain of fire in its wake.

From this inferno, Talia rose! she was swathed in deep blood coloured clothes adorned with imperial symbols.

. Both her eyes were as cold as the night sky, emitting a frost that pierced the soul like icy knives. However, her features were exquisite and beautiful, and they seemed to be carved from unadulterated snow and ice.

Those who had seen her for the first time completely and utterly lost their souls to her beauty while others once again reaffirmed an indisputable fact.;

That she was the most beautiful creature ever to be born among the Blood Wraiths.

At her side floated Canaan, who actually nearly overshadowed her grand entrance with his celestial appearance, immediately attracting all the gazes in the hall.

Talia expressionlessly sat on her throne while Canaan sat at the seat next to her.

He had not shown any nervousness or inferiority for Talia had said to him the night before:

"You are my favoured one. There is nothing you can't and should not have, and no one you should bend a knee to.

To act any other way, would be to shame my Imperial name."

And so Canaan had done exactly that and proudly taken his seat next to her.

Several Blood wraiths immediately fell into deep shock, for the greatest favour a consort could be shown was to sit beside their master.

After all it signified a nearly equal relationship.

Only a reserved number of Blood Wraiths had been at Talia's coming of age ceremony so not many knew about Canaan.

But seeing Talia's unique treatment of him several of the present devil gods had already made several guesses about his identity.

After all, his mortality, and impossibly perfect male appearance would place in him in the spotlight no matter where he found himself.

At the seating Area of the grand Ardent devil clan.....

Bang! Bang!!

The armrests on both sides of Runan were simultaneously pulverized into pieces his rampantly surging aura.

The knuckles of his tightly clenched fists became scarily white, and cracking sounds of bones being displaced erupted from his fists. His face, was as unsightly as if he had just been forced to consume faeces.

"Young Lord, what's wrong? I've never seen you get this deep before." A voice boasting a calm and powerful presence sounded next to him.

The flesh on Runan's face spasmed. His face, which was originally handsome, now had a sinister air spread throughout.

His eyes were filled with a terrifying poison as he raved: "I'm going to chop this little maggot… in… to… thousands of pieces!!"

The one seated slowly followed his line of sight until it came to rest atop Canaan's figure.

His eyes glowed with understanding as he remarked. "Haha I see. A hero should indeed long for beauty's favour. However such a display is beneath someone of your status.

After all he is just a lowly mortal ant. If you require my aid in getting rid of him after our endeavour do not hesitate to ask."

Extreme disdain saturated every part of the figures outward expression as he spoke.

His lips were curled into an eternal sneer, and his eyebrows were scrunched together in a way that made it clear he felt only disdain and disgust for this world.

It was as if he was a god who had descended to the earth to inspect his lowly mortals.

Runan nodded gratefully at him before turning his gaze from Talia and Canaan.

At the same time a powerful sonata of voices boomed throughout the Godfall Blood Palace.

"The Great Wraith King has arrived."

"We welcome His Magnificence!"

The Lords of all lands dropped to their knees and chanted his title.

It was an unprecedented and glorious sight that could never be properly described by any words.

A heavy pressure that surpassed their bodies ability to withstand pressed down on them as the great Wraith King Lord Kaldur arrived.

Feeling as if a hundred mountains were pressing down on them, all the kings and subjects of the lands bowed their heads to their King.

His imperial robe was a deep cherry red color, embroidered with an image of a heaven scorching phoenix.

He was over two hundred years old this year, but his entire person was unnecessarily white and without flaw, with not the slightest of wrinkles.

He had sword-like eyebrows and volatile red eyes, with his majestic and kingly air, it seemed that he was at most forty years of age… With his gold rank devilish power, if not for him wanting to appear with an intimidating monarch's demeanor, he could easily maintain an appearance of around twenty if he wanted to.

With has hands folded neatly nearly behind his back he majestically soared through the air and took his seat as all his kin focused their eyes on him.

By his side a celestial fairy second to none appeared.

Her slightly slanted crescent brows and the misty eyes contained the power to bewitch the soul.

Her countenance wasn't the only that was out of this world; her figure was alluring in the extreme.

There wasn't a woman Canaan had seen in his life that even came close to having her figure.

A rosé colored ribbon was tied around her thin waist but the snow robes covering her chest looked so round and full it was as if something would burst out of its trappings at any moment.

The buttocks beneath her delicate waist were only rounder and firmer.

Although she was obviously in a sitting position, her full curves were such that it was if the devil had drawn them into existence himself.

Her entire body was dripping with a sultry allure and charm that ate away at both bones and soul.

She was simply a succubus that had been sent over to bewitch humanity .

Even the normally prideful and indifferent Canaan was just staring at her from afar all felt a ferocious hot stream flowing out of control inside his body.

She was Lady Raya, the adoptive mother of Talia, wife of Lord Kaldur and Queen of the blood wraiths.

However she had never been one of them, her seductive pink eyes and mane of pink hair lined with crimson edges were enough evidence of that.

Talia was the most beautiful blood wraith within the hose of Arzul, but Lady Raya was acknowledged as the mist beautiful woman to exist within the continent.

The only man worthy of her, was the lord of the house himself!

With an overbearing and imperious tone Lord Kaldur announced. "Let's this centuries great wrath assembly begin!!"

Suddenly, a loud and clear explosions could be heard from midair.

Everyone present lifted their heads instinctively and saw that there was suddenly a blinding crimson radiance surging through the air above.

The brilliant celestial lights broke the silence of the skies, bringing about thunderous sounds of explosions wherever they raced.

After circling the stage for a few rounds, they halted in midair above the main seat, and arranged themselves neatly.

Below the floating swords, a scarlet haired middle aged blood wraith walked out slowly, greeted the audience with a bow, and spoke in a clear voice: "This old one is Torzik, the Divine blood sentinel lord. I am glad to meet all the heroes and outstanding youths of our lands. I represent our King to thank everyone for turning up at this august occasion. This centuries Great Wrath Assembly…"

Torzik stood up and was about to approach the center of the hall when a frivolous yet overbearing voice rang throughout the skies of the hall: "Indeed like this prince didn't waste his time trip here by coming here in person."

Torzik stopped moving and looked towards the origin of the voice with a face of disbelief.

From a hidden part of the seating area, a young man dressed fully in sea green emerald armour and wearing a silver crown appeared.

He looked scholarly and gentle, not any older than early twenties.

However, his gaze was fierce and domineering, a sense of innate nobility came from his body.

Even though he was facing the exalted sentinel lord of the Blood Wraiths, his fierce gaze was not one bit withheld.

"Third Sea prince Konsul!" Torzik exclaimed in shock. All the lords of the Blood Wraiths all fell into deep shock.

"Hehe, I came here uninvited. You wouldn't mind, right?" The young man said laughingly. His actions and tone of speech was mild, yet each of his words contained a grave aloofness and outward disdain and pressure, causing one to not dare to oppose to what he had said.

And this would not change even in front of the top powers of the House of Arzul

Because he was the Second Prince of the second most powerful house on this world.

The house of Oceanus!!

A house second to one which held more power than the house of Arzul on all fronts.

"Of… Of course not," Torzik's voice started to tremble slightly and his agitation could easily be seen: "The second Prince Konsul personally paying a visit to our assembly is our House's good fortune.

How could our House possibly mind? I wonder… I wonder why Your Highness has come down personally?"

"Nothing much actually." Konsul laughed: "I just heard that today was your house's great assembly, and since I had some free time, I decided to come take a look. It seems like the competition has not started yet. That's good. I wonder if you could arrange some seats so we can enjoy the competition?"

"Of course… Your Highness, please enter the seating area." Torzik hurriedly guided him to a seat personally.

After attending to Konsul Torzik turned his gaze to the obelisk in the middle of the assembly hall.

And as did every blood wraith in the assembly hall as they knew what this symbolised.

It was time.

Torzik rushed onto the Essence Arena in the center of the hall and he faced the ancestral monument, declaring with his head held high, "Today, the great wrath assembly will be held, and every single scion of our house is aware of the reason.

For millenia, our house has been the weakest of the great houses of this world.

This is a disgrace that ends with our generation!!

Our house cannot and will not continue this way.

It is beneath us!

Our ancestors founded the great wrath assembly in order to allow the young generation to clash in a battle of wills so the strongest are selected and the weak are culled.

Weakness is inexcusable! That is our way! It was our way then and is our way now!

And It is the only way to regain our past glory.

So ignite your wills and your life in a magnificent clash, youth of our clan.

You are our only hope!!!"

With Torzik's thunderous yell the entire population of the Godfall Blood Palace erupted in applause.
