With time, he becomes increasingly controlling, monitoring her every move and isolating her further from the outside world. She feels trapped and starts contemplating her options after he restricted her from even going to her parents house. Having just Valerie and Nanny Dianne by her side, she confinds in them daily, complaining bitterly of the effect of her marriage on her. The weight of Cameron's daily unnecessary pressure continues to dawn on her as she began to slowly loose hope and weight.

Lexa's desperation intensifies, as she tries to navigate her toxic marriage and tries to endure Cameron's verbal abuse and occasional outbursts, afraid to provoke him further. She dreams and years for the freedom and happiness she once took for granted with Jace by her side.

As the days continue to go by, Cameron's real nature continues to burst out as he slowly began to restrict the workers from serving her. Feeling a bit of jealousy and resentment towards Lexa, he sets a new rule for Nanny Dianne, she was to stay in the workers quarters and only allowed to attend to Lexa twice a week, with the tale that Lexa is now a wife and should learn to be responsible instead of being a 'slow beauty doll' who everyone serves and worships. He days become more hectic and fearful for Lexa as Cameron began imposing house work and chores on her, making her life more miserable.

Cameron despised Lexa's independence and her refusal to fully submit to the traditional role he expected from his wife. He believed that marrying into her wealthy, prestigious family meant she should behave like a trophy, there to look beautiful, attend social events, and remain silent. But Lexa had always been spirited, and her quiet resistance fueled his growing resentment.

The psychological abuse she experienced was relentless. Cameron belittled Lexa constantly, making her feel small and insignificant. "You were never meant for this life," he would say with a sneer. "You should be grateful I even married you. Do you think a man like me needs someone like you?" Cameron's harsh tone will descend on Lexa as he spitefully looks at her.

Cameron thrived on the power he had over her, twisting her words and using them against her to make her doubt her worth. He wanted to break her spirit, to turn her into someone entirely dependent on him. And bit by bit, Lexa began to feel herself losing pieces of who she used to be.

He controlled her social calendar, allowing her only to attend events that bolstered his own image. Her once-vibrant social life dwindled to almost nothing, leaving Lexa feeling lonely and trapped in her gilded cage.

The house, once a symbol of wealth and luxury, became a prison for Lexa. She couldn't escape the constant tension, the unpredictable anger that simmered beneath Cameron's cold exterior. Her days were spent in silence, walking on eggshells to avoid provoking him. Nights were worse; they slept in the same bed, but the emotional distance between them felt like an unbridgeable chasm. Lexa had entered the marriage out of duty and responsibility to her family, but now it felt like a life sentence. Each day, she grew more desperate, her mind often drifting back to the life she had left behin the life with Jace that was filled with love, warmth, and hope. In Cameron's world, all she had was fear, isolation, and a growing sense of despair.
