FLASHBACKS....
Two days before the escape day....
Cameron stopped halfway, as he withdrew his steps peeping as he noticed one of his workers handing a note to Lexa and whispering something into her ears as he kept turning left and right, making sure nobody was seeing him.
Not been able to recognize his face, he tapped his chief guard.."Find out everything about this man and bring it to me in less than an hour. After that, call him to my office I will like to see him". Cameron said pointing at the man who was whispering to Lexa.
2 hours later, at Cameron's home office.
"Good day sir, you..you sent for me?" The tensed worker said standing at the entrance of Cameron's office".
"Come in and have a seat" Cameron said gently to the man before going back to glancing at his phone.
"Your Luke right" He added.
"Yes sir" The worker said nodding
"I saw you whispering to my wife few hours ago, and what ever you were telling her seemed confidential. You also handed her a note. What was in the note?. Cameron asked nonchalantly.
"Uhmmm... nothing really sir..." The worker said as his heart started panting.
"Nothing?, are you sure?, I really just want to know or don't I have the right to know what goes on in my house? Cameron asked.
"You...you don't have to worry sir. Ma'am Lexa just asked me to get the list of the groceries needed to be purchased from the cheif cook sir, that was what I handed over to her Sir". Me Luke said panting heavily.
"Hmm...Lexa isn't part of the cooks, neither has she ever gone grocery shopping Mr Luke, So what will my wife be doing with a shopping list?" Cameron said.
"I'm telling you the honest truth sir, I just did as instructed" Mr Luke replied.
"That's alright Luke. If what you are saying is true, then why are you panting and sweating?, The temperature of this room should make you shiver in cold, not feel hot..but I believe you, that's not a big deal. Just common and watch this video" Cameron said smirking at the worker.
... Luke took the phone and watched the video of his wife and only daughter, both unconscious and tied in a van, as his eyes went wild in shock and astonishment.
"Please..sir, please don't hurt my family. They are the only ones I have, please sir I beg of you, don't hurt my family sir" Luke went on his knees, begging Cameron as tears gathered in his eyes.
"Mr Luke, my wife has developed a mischievous attitude recently, and suddenly I saw you giving something to her and looking around, making sure nobody saw you, and you say it was a list of groceries?. What does that have to do with my wife. All you have to do is say the truth and I'll let your family go, and also reward you handsomely. Wouldn't you like that?" Cameron said smiling broadly.
"All.. alright sir, I'll tell you everything, Just don't hurt my family please they are all I have ..." Luke said pleading, still on his knees.
"The note contained a location and time Ma'am Lexa was to leave sir, that's all" He confessed.
"What do you mean location and time?, What are you implying?, Where is she going. Speak!" Cameron asked confused.
