Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Eyes of Insight

Liang Fei had just left Wu Liang's clinic when he saw President Yang's Mercedes still parked by the roadside, not having left.

"Liang!"

Upon seeing Liang come out, President Yang poked his head out of the car window, called out to Liang Fei, and said, "Liang, get in the car quickly!"

Liang Fei, not understanding the reason, could only get into the car.

"Liang, I've already heard the conversation you had with Wu Liang just now. I can't believe that this damn man is a quack trying to swindle my money. I won't let him get away with this."

President Yang's hands rested steadily on the steering wheel, his eyes unblinking as he stared in the direction of Wu Liang's clinic, and he spoke deliberately.

Liang Fei hadn't expected that he hadn't left but had hidden outside the clinic, eavesdropping.

However, Liang Fei still secretly admired President Yang's composure. If it were any other big boss, upon hearing they were deceived by a quack, they would have rushed to smash the clinic immediately!

"President Yang, just follow the prescriptions I gave you, and you will be better after a few times."

What President Yang ultimately wanted to do to Wu Liang, Liang Fei couldn't control. He spoke calmly and was about to leave the car.

"Liang, wait a moment!"

President Yang called out to him and handed him a thick stack of money, saying with a face full of remorse, "Liang, you prescribed these remedies for me and even lost your job because of it. Here's thirty thousand yuan as a consultation fee, please accept it!"

"President Yang, I've said before, I did not prescribe these remedies for the money,"

Liang Fei completely ignored the money he passed over and said indifferently, "Besides, I had long since not wanted to work at Wu Liang's place. Whether I'm fired or not, it has nothing to do with you, President Yang."

Upon hearing this, President Yang regarded Liang Fei with some surprise, then nodded in approval, saying, "Well said, Liang Fei, it's truly rare to find such honest young men nowadays."

Glancing at Liang Fei, President Yang then asked, "What are your plans going forward? Rest assured, your medical skills are not inferior to Wu Liang's. Why don't you also open a clinic? I'll cover all the expenses."

Open a clinic?

Liang Fei studied medicine only wanting to cure his father's illness and had no intention of opening a clinic. Moreover, he believed there were many ways to practice medicine, not just opening a clinic.

"Thank you for your kindness, President Yang, but I currently have no plans to open a clinic."

Liang Fei declined President Yang's offer, which made President Yang regard him even more highly, saying, "Liang, you are really a stand-up guy. If you don't mind, I would like us to become sworn brothers. What do you say?"

Become sworn brothers!

Liang Fei was taken aback upon hearing this. Due to his family's poverty, he hadn't had any real friends as he grew up. Yet President Yang, a company president, was willing to form such a close relationship with him, which surprised Liang Fei.

"Sure, since you think highly of me, big brother, how could I refuse to comply!"

Liang Fei, also a straightforward person, saw that President Yang was waiting for his response and immediately answered with a smile.

"Good, Brother Afei, you really are straightforward. From now on, let's call each other brothers."

Seeing Liang Fei agree, President Yang was overjoyed and added, "Come, Afei, I'll take you to meet a few friends, all business partners of mine. If you ever encounter any problems you can't solve, you can turn to them."

Having said that, President Yang didn't mind whether Liang Fei was willing or not, he started the engine and drove toward a hotel owned by his company.

At the hotel entrance, the doorman, recognizing the president's car, quickly came forward to greet them.

President Yang and Liang Fei got out of the car together, and the doormen and security guards were amazed to see Liang Fei, dressed in cheap street clothes, sharing a car and having a pleasant conversion with President Yang, causing them to question Liang Fei's identity.

"Afei, wait for me in the lobby, I need to take care of something over there, I'll come and get you soon!"

Just as President Yang was about to lead Liang Fei into the hotel, his phone rang. After answering the call, he apologized to Liang Fei.

He then called over a female waitress to take Liang to the hotel lobby, then he hurried out.

With specific instructions from President Yang, the waitress did not dare to neglect her duties, and politely led Liang Fei into the lobby to sit on a sofa.

Liang Fei had never seen what a star-rated hotel was like, and was stunned by the opulent décor of the hotel.

Watching his bewildered expression, the waitress by his side found it amusing and thought he was just a country bumpkin who had never seen the world.

However, even though everyone looked down on Liang Fei, they could only laugh at him in their minds. After all, this young man was brought in by the president, who knew what kind of honored guest he might be!

"Liang Fei!"

Liang Fei was sitting on the sofa drinking tea when he suddenly heard a familiar female voice behind him.

He turned around and saw Ning Jiuwei approaching him hurriedly.

Ning Jiuwei was tall and slender, her skin fair. Her dark, sparkling eyes resembled those of a Blythe doll, and her delicate little nose sat perfectly on her youthful oval-shaped face.

Her lips were red like cherries, her cheeks bore dimples from her smile, and her shoulder-length hair danced in the breeze, making her look like a fairy under the moonlight, enchantingly beautiful.

Seeing Ning Jiuwei, Liang Fei felt a stir in his heart and was about to go greet her, but in the blink of an eye, he was suddenly taken aback.

My God, what did he see? Ning Jiuwei had suddenly...

Liang Fei thought he had seen wrong and rubbed his eyes. But when he looked intently again, he noticed Ning Jiuwei's clothes were properly back on her.

At that instant, a very strange thought popped into Liang Fei's mind. Could it be his eyes...

Suddenly recalling what Shennong Medical Immortal had told him, Liang Fei suddenly realized that the scene he had just seen was the result of the "Eyes of Insight" being activated.

It was truly magical. Back then, when Shennong Medical Immortal had said he would bestow upon him two magical skills, "Eyes of Insight" and "Gold Turning Hand," Liang had not paid much attention. Now, he realized that Shennong Medical Immortal had actually endowed him with two special abilities.

The perspective view that had just caused a nosebleed was unintentional; Liang Fei was not a sleazy person, nor did he want to disrespect Ning Jiuwei. He then turned his gaze away, focusing solely on his hands.

Now that he had experienced the Eyes of Insight, he wondered how the Gold Turning Hand would manifest.

Liang Fei was staring blankly at his hands when Ning Jiuwei approached and asked in surprise, "Liang Fei, what are you doing here? Aren't you working at Doctor Wu's anymore? I just passed by his clinic to find you, and he snapped at me. What exactly happened?"

Liang Fei and Ning Jiuwei had been close friends since childhood. When they were just beginning junior high school, Ning's father became severely ill and needed to be treated in the city, so the Ning family moved to the city and they hadn't seen each other since.

Later, when Liang Fei started working at Wu Liang's clinic, he had bumped into Ning Jiuwei and thus maintained contact with the Ning family.

Ning Jiuwei was now a sophomore at Binyang University, knowing that Liang Fei, due to his family's poverty, had to drop out of school early, she had consistently used her spare time over the past three to four years to tutor Liang Fei, helping him keep up with her pace academically.

For Ning Jiuwei, Liang Fei could not help but feel grateful and harbored a budding affection of youth. However, regarding this sentiment, he always treated it as a cherished secret deep in his heart, reluctant to touch it carelessly.
