Han Jun's mouth was wide open in shock and he cast a questioning gaze at Ling wei.
Ling Wei saw Han Jun's questioning gaze and slightly bowed her head, refusing to speak. "I indeed acted crazy," she thought to herself.
"Can someone explain what's going on here?" Han Jun's gaze was fixed on Ling Wei's pale face.
"Allow me to explain," Shu Fang's gentle voice sounded drawing Han Jun's attention to herself.
A few days ago...
"Han Jun wake up. How can you sleep so easily again?" Ling Wei freed herself from Han Jun's embrace and looked at his closed eyes. Seeing his peaceful sleeping face, she sighed. "Did that golden goddess drain your energy to this extent?" she murmured, and a frown appeared on her face. "Once more... I wasn't responsible for your first time after waking up." A bitter smile appeared on her lips. "I am really unfortunate." She lowered her head onto Han Jun's chest and closed her eyes; hot tears escaped her left eye.
...
Several days passed, and Han Jun was still in the same position, not moving or showing any signs of waking up.
Ling Wei noticed that something was off and placed her ear against Han Jun's chest, only to find that it had stopped beating.
"Han Jun! Han Jun!" She shook Han Jun's body, but there was no response. "No, Han Jun!" Her green eyes slowly turned red; the anxiousness she felt could not be described in words. "You can't leave me again; please open your eyes," she cried.
Shu Fang appeared out of thin air with Yong Li and his men behind her. This was the scene they witnessed as soon as they arrived.
"What happened to Elder Brother Han?" Yong Li rushed to Han Jun and checked his pulse, only to frown.
"What happened to him?" Ling Wei asked, her eyes red.
"I... I can't pinpoint what his condition is," Yong Li stammered.
"No..." Ling Wei shook her head. "Nothing is wrong with him, nothing." She murmured and suddenly turned her head to the calm Shu Fang. "What have you done to him?" she shouted, and in the next second, she was already in front of Shu Fang, showing her sharp fangs with the clear intention of wanting to kill her.
"Calm down; he has slept too long in the illusion circle as well. He is fine, not dead. He still has the scent of life within him," Shu Fang explained calmly, having disappeared from her original spot and appeared behind her.
"Liar!" Ling Wei shouted. The wind whipped through the area harshly, sending dust and sand into everyone's eyes. The ground shook in response to her anger. Ling Wei wasted no time and flew toward Shu Fang.
Sensing the killer intent coming from Ling Wei, Shu Fang frowned lightly and quickly blocked her attack with a light barrier. "Calm down! I didn't hurt him!" Shu Fang wanted to reason with her.
Ling Wei raised her head to look at Shu Fang, but her gaze landed on the multicolored star that was perfectly printed between Shu Fang's brows, causing her anger to rise even further. "Shut... up!" she screamed, using all her strength to punch the light shield, scattering it into thousands of pieces. She didn't stop there and lunged at Shu Fang, aiming for her throat.
"Curses!" Shu Fang gritted her teeth. "Goddess of light, brightness, and blindness of earth, unlock the blindness of the earth!" Shu Fang chanted, and immediately after her incantation, the sky opened, and an overwhelming golden light shone down upon Ling Wei.
The sudden brightness made Ling Wei lose focus, giving Shu Fang the opportunity to escape. Ling Wei pounced into thin air, her Sharp nails that were aiming for Shu fang throat loses target and this result to scratching her arm instead. She ignored the pain and dodged the blinding light with her paws, but it was no effect; she couldn't even open her eyes.
Seeing the three bloody marks on Ling Wei's arm, Shu Fang gritted her teeth. "Trust me, he will wake up! Haven't you lived with him longer than I have? You should know what's happening to him more than I do," she insisted, her frown deepening.
"I said shut up!" Ling Wei's anger reached its limit, and she landed on the ground, causing the earth to tremble. "You are just like her... good for nothing but beauty! All you want to do is hurt him, and I won't allow that a second time!" she spoke through gritted teeth.
"What do you mean?" Shu Fang's brows knitted lightly as she descended to the ground calmly.
A cold smile appeared on Ling Wei's lips as her eyes hardened. "Your bright light is useless against me," she declared. Right after her statement, half of her beautiful green hair turned purple. She lay her hands and legs on the ground and bent over, slowly transforming into a huge creature. Her entire body was a mixture of green and purple. Her long tail swung left and right as she roared up to the sky, forcing the brightness away.
"You are already the Siler Beast Goddess," Shu Fang's eyes widened in shock. "Don't go too far. I am only defending and not attacking, only because of Han Jun." Her voice turned cold instantly.
Ling Wei didn't reply and charged at Shu Fang, ready to give it everything she had.
Seeing that Ling Wei have no thought of backing down, Shu Fang didn't hold back anymore. "Don't say I'm wicked!" Right after her statement, a golden sword appeared in her hand. She raised the sword high and left it suspended in the air. "Power of the war goddess, unleash!" she shouted, and immediately after her incantation, the sword emitted a golden light in every direction, announcing its presence. It stood horizontally and rushed toward Ling Wei.
Seeing the approaching sword, Ling Wei roared and ran toward it, determined to confront the sword head-on. She didn't care about her safety; her only thought was to kill Shu Fang.
Seeing through Ling Wei's intention, Shu Fang's eyes widened. "Are you crazy? Do you want to get yourself killed?" She shouted forcing the golden war sword back.
Calling back the golden war sword when it was ready for battle had its own disadvantage. As soon as the golden war sword was recalled, Shu Fang vomited a mouthful of blood, her legs giving way as she knelt on one knee with the sword's support.
"Curses," she gritted her teeth and cast an annoyed look at Ling Wei, whose gaze was now on the sleeping Han Jun not far from her.
Ling Wei transformed back into her human form, her hair and eyes green in color. She ran away and returned with a bucket of water. Without hesitation, she poured it over Han Jun. When he still didn't wake up, she ran away again.
Shu Fang didn't speak again; she wiped the bloodstains from the corner of her lips, settled in a corner, sat down in a cross-legged position, and closed her eyes. She calmed her breath and began meditating.
When Yong Li and the others regained consciousness, they witnessed Ling Wei running back and forth, pouring endless water on Han Jun.
......
PRESENT.
Han Jun sat in the middle of the two ladies, looking from one to the other. He sighed and rubbed his forehead. "So you both injured yourselves?" he asked, but neither of them answered.
"Fine, let me make things clear. Unless my body decays and my soul is burned away right in front of you, never believe that I'm dead. Understood?" he said, directing his attention to Ling Wei.
Ling Wei stared affectionately into Han Jun's eyes before nodding, a sweet smile appearing on her lips.
"Your injury..." His gaze landed on the three marks on her arm.
"I'm fine. It isn't serious," Ling Wei replied.
Han Jun nodded and then looked at Shu Fang. "Shu Fang."
"I'm fine; I'm not injured." Shu Fang cut off Han Jun's words and stood up. "The illusion circle has been broken, so its connection to Wonderland has been cut off. If you're still willing to go there, I can use my powers to help," she said.
Han Jun looked at Yong Li and his men. "We're going," he said, not wanting to waste the Men efforts.
Shu Fang nodded. "Light Flower," she called, and a big golden lotus appeared in front of everyone. "It will teleport us to our destination," she explained.
Everyone nodded and climbed onto the lotus. When everyone was ready, the lotus vanished one by one along with the people on it.
*Wonder land, the land of frozen ice and snow*
Flash! Flash! One by one, the lotus appeared and lay calmly on the ice floor.
"Brother Yong Li! Look, we've reached Wonderland! We did it!" a man among Yong Li's men shouted. Out of excitement, he jumped off the lotus and landed on the ice.
"Mu Chen, don't!" Yong Li shouted to stop the man, but it was too late. Mu Chen had already jumped down.
As soon as Mu Chen's feet touched the ground, he froze instantly, ice thorns sprouting from the spot and growing out through him. A loud strike followed. "Ahhhhh!". Blood flowed down the ice thorns as they pierced Mu Chen, killing him.
"Goodness! How come there's a trap here?" someone among Yong Li's men commented.
"Brother Yong Li, did you know there was a trap here already?" another person asked Yong Li.
Yong Li shook his head lightly. "I sensed something wasn't right because my ice element was acting strange and am having the feelings of..." Before he could finish his words, his head suddenly exploded, scattering blood everywhere.
Han Jun, Shu Fang, and Ling Wei dodged to avoid the blood that threatened to stain them.
Yong Li's lifeless body fell from the lotus onto the ice. Just like Mu Chen, Yong Li lifeless body met the same fate.
"Ah! The ice element he cultivated backfired! We are doomed! We are doomed!" Yong Li's men began to panic.
Are we going to be trapped here forever? Are we really going to die?. "Someone among Yong Li Men cried"
Why is this happening? No one among the past survival experience this. "Another Man cried".
"Does anyone understand what is going on?" Han Jun asked, frowning as he watched the scene unfold.
"Curses," Shu Fang muttered, her brows furrowing as she clearly didn't understand what was happening either.
"What on earth was she up to?" Ling Wei murmured, her voice barely audible but heard by both Han Jun and Shu Fang.
