Chapter 10 - 10. Big Business

Not only had he vented his anger, he had also managed to solve the problem that Mr.

Harvey had assigned to him. Now, in a good mood, he did not intend to make things any

more difficult for these men any longer. He hummed a short tune and went into the

kitchen to prepare the chicken noodle soup.

Morris and Clara laughed dryly and followed him into the kitchen. You almost scared us

to death! Don't you know who he is? He is the infamous underground boss, Boss Romano

of Bayside District! Clara patted her chest with lingering fear and said in a soft voice, I

heard that he's murdered someone before and even served time in prison! Aidan was

cooking chicken noodle soup, as he replied, without turning his head. I don't care what

Boss Romano is like or what he's done in the past.

How dare he threaten my parents! You may put up with it, but I, as your son, am not

willing to see anyone bully my family. The couple's eyes flashed with overwhelming

emotion. It seemed that their son had really grown up.

But at the same time, they suddenly turned pale as they covered Aidan's mouth tightly

and warned, Do you want to die? Don't speak so loudly! Episode 17 Big Business Ding!

Specialty in cooking the same dish. Cooking ability plus one. To his own surprise, Aidan's

culinary skills had suddenly increased a little further.

Giving himself a moment to think, he added a new seasoning to the pot of chicken soup.

Gently scooping a little of the soup out, he tasted it and smiled in satisfaction. Not long

afterwards, several bowls of chicken noodle soup were served to the customers.

The group of men had been dragged out by Boss Romano to indulge in a dish that he

had praised highly. However, Aidan had deliberately left them waiting for a long time,

causing their empty stomachs to growl in agony. As soon as they saw the bowls of

chicken noodle soup, they succumbed to their gluttony and began devouring the food

like a pack of starving wolves, heedless that they might burn their mouths.

With one slurp of the noodle soup, they all froze in shock. The smooth texture of the

noodles slipped down their throats like a stream flowing down the earth. As the slices of

chicken melted in it, complemented by the cream of the broth as its foundation, each of

the main ingredients played its role in the recipe.

Th-this taste! I remember having noodle soup in the most famous noodle bar in the

entire county, and I don't remember them tasting better than this! I don't really know

how to describe it, but I do know that it tastes delicious! Perhaps it's the cooking skill of

the chef! Looks like we misunderstood the kid. How old is he? So young, yet his culinary

skills are already so outstanding! Secretly watching from the side, Clara and Morris

heaved a sigh of relief when they heard the endless praise of Aidan's chicken noodle

soup. Aidan, who was not surprised, washed his hands and was just about to carry his

backpack upstairs when he saw Boss Romano waving at him from the corner of his eye.

Little one, come over here and have a chat. He thought for a moment, then carried his

school bag over to the table without saying a word. Romano, after burping in satisfaction

at the meal, took out a gold-edged business card from his pocket and handed it to Aidan

with both hands.

My name is Joseph Romano, but everyone calls me Boss Romano. If you don't mind, you

can also call me that. This is my business card.

What shall I call you, little one? Aidan took the business card and saw the words Joseph

Romano printed in large golden letters on it. The bottom of the card added, Boss

Romano Studio, CEO. Having originally thought that these men were just a bunch of

hooligans, Aidan was surprised to see that they actually had legitimate business.

Flipping the card over, he saw a few words were printed on the back. Main business,

fund recycling. Aidan was delighted to learn that these men were not the usual criminals

responsible for collecting debts or beating people up.

My name is Aidan. Then I'll call you Little Aidan. Boss Romano gave Aidan a thumbs up

and complimented him.

Little Aidan, today's chicken noodle soup was even more delicious than yesterday's. How

did you do that? Aidan smiled, but did not reply to his question. I know I have a lot to

learn, but I do know that such things are usually kept a secret, so you can't just casually

ask me that.

Joe Romano patted his bald head and hesitated for a moment. Then he said, To tell you

the truth, Little Aidan, our studio belongs to a big group in the city that owns several

hotels. I believe that with your abilities as a chef, Little Aidan, you could be the head chef

of one of those hotels.

He went on, when the time comes, the amount of money you could earn would be

hundreds to thousands of times greater than what you could earn here. How about it?

Take some time to consider it. If necessary, I can even recommend you to them.

Though his heart wavered slightly, Aidan had already made up his mind that was not the

path he wanted to follow. Of course, he wanted to make the money.

I did not want to be too involved with people like Boss Romano, so he tactfully declined.

Boss Romano, I would like to focus on my studies at the moment, so... What a pity,

Joseph Romano sighed as a hint of disappointment flashed across his eyes. But the

rejection did not ruin the relationship between the two.

Instead, the group enjoyed themselves to their heart's content, and even cracked open

several bottles of beer along the way, creating a lively atmosphere within the restaurant.

Only when things started to die down around 10 o'clock at night did they reluctantly

leave.

After bidding farewell to the uninvited guests and closing

the restaurant, Aiden finally had time to work on the rest of his math questions.

But before going upstairs, he suggested to his parents that they add a dish to the menu,

Supreme Chicken Noodle Soup. This dish was, of course, the chicken noodle soup

personally cooked by Aiden, but it would be stipulated and made absolutely clear that

the noodle soup would only be available at weekends. In this way, they could avoid Boss

Romano and his men dominating the restaurant too often, and it would also allow them

to make the dish more expensive, cunningly increasing its value.

Most importantly, Aiden would be able to get more time to rest. After all, he did not want

to cook every day after coming home from school. Late that night, Morris and Clara took

a peek at Aiden, who was studying with a serious expression.

They could not help but look at each other and smile with gratification, knowing how

hardworking their son had become. Recently, Aiden had changed in so many ways,

which surprised them greatly. He was like a rebellious child who had suddenly matured

overnight.

At that moment, Aiden was sitting in front of a desk. In front of him was the piece of

paper with the math questions printed on it. System, help me solve this problem.

Ding! The answer has already been sent to the host's mind. Please check it. The moment

he had spoken, a sea of knowledge about trigonometric functions popped up in Aiden's

mind.

Sine squared plus cosine squared equals one. Tangent equals sine divided by cosine.

With that, Aiden picked up his pen and wrote out the steps to solve the problem on a

piece of paper, using the knowledge imprinted in his mind.

Okay, done! Satisfied with his answers, he turned off the lights and went to sleep. The

night passed in silence, or not. On the next day in math class, a strange feeling

permeated the air.
