As the heavy wooden door creaked shut behind them, Roseanne found herself standing alone in the room with Davian. The place was fancier than anything she'd ever come across, with a big, fancy bed surrounded by velvet drapes and soft, plush blankets. Yet, despite the comfort the room seemed to offer, all Roseanne could feel was a wave of awkwardness sweeping over her, leaving her uncertain of what to do next.
She stood by the door, fidgeting her hands together nervously, her eyes darting to the large bed, then to the floor, and back again. The thought of sharing a room with Davian, let alone a bed, made her stomach twist. She knew there wasn't supposed to be a problem—it wasn't uncommon for couple—but still… it was Davian, the Alpha of the Blood Stone Pack. The man who was always so calm, strong, and commanding. She barely felt like she belonged at his side.
