The scientists started stepping back, in fear of the creature standing in front of them.
He didn't feel human… not at all, and to make things worse, he was out of their control!
Whoosh!
Suddenly Alex's figure vanished from their sight, and a powerful gust of wind immediately swept past them.
Their eyes widened in shock, as they stared around in panic, all with the same thought racing through their minds: where did he go?
Fwoosh!
Splash!
Another gust of wind abruptly blew behind them, followed by a loud splash, causing their bodies to tremble in fear.
Though terrified, they subconsciously turned to the back, and their blood turned cold at the sight they met.
Standing before them was Alex, and in his hands was the head of a familiar person… one of their colleagues.
"Hi'tty…" One of them mumbled, stumbling to the ground in horror.
Splash!
The headless body of the man remained standing, blood rapidly gushing up from his neck.
Just what the hell happened…? He was standing in front of them barely a second ago, how did he get behind them?! How did he kill one of their colleagues so easily?!
Some many questions raced through their minds, however, they couldn't find any reasonable answer.
"Funny, his head came off a lot easier than I expected." Alex muttered, raising the lifeless head up for them to see.
The expression on his face was still frozen in shock… the poor man didn't even know how he died.
Drip!
Fresh blood was still dripping down the sliced neck, making a small pool beneath Alex's feet.
Plop!
Spurt!
The man's headless body suddenly dropped to the ground with a low thud, with blood flowing out of the cleaved neck.
The sound alone send chills down the spine of the scientists, as if to remind them of the reality in front of them.
"Wow…" Alex mumbled, flinging the head to the side.
Thud!
The head landed on the ground with a soft thud, rolling for a few seconds before coming to a halt.
"I've never felt this good… in my life." Alex said, staring at his hands once more.
Jutting out of his fingers were long, sharp claws, each one about four inches in length.
There were also streaks of blood red and black fur running down from his elbows to his fingers.
He wasn't exactly sure what happened, but his body had transformed greatly, surprising even him.
However, he wasn't complaining. He could feel so much power, more than he had ever had in his life, flowing through his veins.
He was extremely fast… strong… unstoppable! There was no way he would complain about something like that!
"Claws..." Alex said, his eyes shining red once more.
"D-don't get d-distracted… there's no way he can handle all of us!" Ne'dt shouted, his voice trembling as he spoke.
Nonetheless, no one answered him, and the other eight stepped back in fear, leaving only him to face Alex.
"H-how could you kill him…? He was my friend!" He shouted, aiming his gun at Alex.
Thoomm!!
A powerful blue beam immediately shot out from the centre of the U-shaped gun, blasting towards Alex at terrifying speed.
"Hehe." Despite the beam flying towards him, Alex let out a mocking chuckle, flashing a pair of sharp fangs at Ne'dt.
Poof!!
Just as the beam was about to reach him, he swiftly swung his hands at it, squatting it to the side like a fly.
Bam!
The beam slammed into the ground instead, creating a deep crater on the surface.
Whoosh!
"Too slow, too weak." He muttered, before dashing towards the scientist, causing his strong gust of wind.
Ne'dt couldn't even react, as Alex reappeared beside him in an instant, swinging his claws at his torso.
Splash!
With a swift swing, Alex tore through the man's torso using his claws, cleaving him from his abdomen.
Holding up his severed upper body by his shoulder, Alex's lips slowly curled into a sinister smirk.
Slosh!
The man's intestines plopped to the ground, forming a pool of blood and enthrals, along with his dismembered lower body, which kept gushing with blood.
"Hah." Alex let out a low exhale, before flinging the bloodied torso to the side.
It felt quite unusual, seeing powerful psychics like these fall under his claws so easily.
He was sure these people were at least above the second rank, yet… they were so weak.
He wasn't complaining though, instead he was overjoyed!
This was what he had always dreamed about, to make those stupid psychics bow before his strength.
It had been his wish… ever since 'that' day.
Even now, seeing the fearful expressions on their faces, their despair, it brought him joy!
He could feel their fear… their despair. It was the sweetest thing in the world!
However, they weren't the main thing on his mind.
"Port'hov…" Alex muttered, slowly turning to the transparent glass at the other end of the room.
His eyes locked with the man, who was still sitting comfortably on his chair, and his lips curled into an evil smirk, displaying the sharp fangs in his mouth.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the glass, Port'hov felt a cold chill run down his spine as he stared into the bright red eyes of Alex.
"S-shit…" He muttered, clenching his hands into a fist.
"He's too dangerous, we need to eliminate him!" He exclaimed, turning to the green haired woman standing beside him.
"Release gas X." He said, his hands trembling slightly in fear.
The woman's eyes widened in shock when she heard his words and she subconsciously looked back at other side of the room.
"B-but some of the scientists… are s-still in there with… him. T-they'll die." She muttered, her fingers trembling slightly.
"They don't matter. Just do it, unless you want to die instead?!" Port'hov coldly replied, not even glancing at her.
"N-no… Okay sir." The woman's voice trembled as she pulled out a small remote from her pockets.
She halted for a few seconds, before pressing down on the huge red button on top of the remote.
Pwooff!!
The vents in the room on the other side of the glass suddenly opened up, unleashing a thick yellow gas, which rapidly spread around the entire room.
