"Huh?" Alex mumbled, staring at the yellow gas moving around him in confusion.
"Kukh!"
"Arrgh!!"
The scientist sitting on the ground abruptly screamed the moment the gas made contact with their bodies, coughing out litres of blood.
"N-no… sir P-port… hov… why…?" One of them muttered, tightly clutching his chest in pain.
His eyes rapidly turned bloodshot, and in the next second, blood suddenly poured out of his eyes, flowing down his cheeks.
Blood also bursted out of his skin pores, dying his body with a deep red colour.
A similar thing happened with the others around him, and they all screamed out their lungs in agony.
However, the pain didn't stop, and more blood only kept spewing from their mouths.
After a few seconds, their bodies finally went still, deeply soaked in their own blood.
"Sacrificing your own men, can't even say I'm surprised." Alex mumbled, taking a brief glance at the dead scientists.
He didn't pity them in the slightest, not after placing he and the others under such horrifying experiment.
They simply got what they deserved, so he left them to drown in their own blood.
Nonetheless, apart from annoyingly obstructing his vision, the yellow gas had no effect on him.
Despite standing in the middle, he was still able to breathe normally, without feeling any adverse effect.
"You can't get rid of me Port'hov." Alex
muttered, swiftly swinging his hands.
Swoosh!
A gentle wave abruptly bursted forward, and the yellow gas in front of him swiftly cleared out to the sides.
Whoosh!
"I'll make sure you die a terrible death." With those words, Alex dashed forward, reappearing in front of the large glass in an instant.
Port'hov's heart skipped a beat when Alex suddenly appeared in front of him, and his body shuddered in fear.
'Even Gas X didn't kill him?!' He thought, clenching his fists tightly.
Gas X was something he developed himself, and what he always referred to as the "ultimate poison".
By combining different poisonous elements, and with the help of his psychics powers, he was finally able to create a gas targeted at killing anyone within seconds.
It didn't matter the race, or how strong the person was; in front of gas X all that was useless.
The reason it was called "Gas X", was due to the fact that it was composed to too many deadly components, making it quite difficult to give it a specific name.
With it, he had taken down armies, psychics more powerful than him. It was what made it the ultimate killing machine!
Or at least, it was supposed to be… because standing in front of him, was Alex, completely unaffected by its poison.
'He's super strong, super fast… and also has perfect resistance to poison and Zet. The perfect soldier I've always dreamed about… i-its him!'
It was just a pity that he had no way to control Alex, meaning there was no other choice than to eliminate him.
Nonetheless, he could always perform another experiment. With what he would gain from experimenting on Alex's corpse, his next subject was guaranteed to be a success!
The 'perfect solider' was finally at his fingertips!
"Hehe." He let out a light chuckle, excited at the prospect of finally achieving his life-long dream.
Despite the monster standing across him, he wasn't really afraid.
The glass separating them was composed of mythril, the strongest material in the world.
Whether it was brute force, sonic blasts, psychics abilities, nothing could put a dent on the glass!
As for the genius who learnt to utilize mythril to such a high degree, it was none other than him! Another achievement he was more than proud of.
Not even a bomb, or an asteroid falling from space could make a dent on it. It was indestructible!
'Besides, I still have another trump card. Don't get cocky Alex, I've taken precautions for every scenario.' Port'hov thought, his lips slowly curling into a sinister smirk.
"Hahaha!" He suddenly bursted out in a crazed laughter, repeatedly tapping his hand on the arm of the chair.
Alex's brows furrowed in confusion, as he looked to Port'hov, who kept laughing in excitement.
"Don't you know Alex… you can never win against me, even if you have all the strength in the world." The man muttered, gently rubbing his chin with a wide grin on his face.
He paused for a second, gently rubbing a small red button at the side of the chair.
Beep!
"It's a pity that I have to kill you. But you should be grateful, your death will help in finalising my dreams!" He shouted, suddenly pressing down the button with a finger.
Alex's brows furrowed slightly at his words, however, even after a few seconds, nothing happened.
"Huh…?" He mumbled, narrowing his eyes at Port'hov.
"Just wait… for your death." The man said, his lips curled into a sinister grin.
Sizzz!
Suddenly a loud hiss echoed within Alex's head, and he immediately grabbed his head in confusion.
Growl!
"What… is this?" He mumbled, letting out a loud growl in annoyance.
However, he didn't receive any answer to his question, and before he knew it—
Boom!!
A powerful explosion went off within his head, the flames blasting out of his nostrils and ears.
The smoke from the blast rapidly spread through the chair, clouding his figure.
"Hehe. That serves you right, goodbye… stupid prince." Port'hov said, chuckling loudly to himself.
Growl!
While he was still rejoicing, a deep snarl suddenly sounded from the smoke, jolting him out of his thoughts.
His joy was immediately cut short, and he tightly gripped the arms of his chair, with his body trembling in fear.
'D-don't tell me… he's still a-alive after that?!!' He thought, his expression frozen in shock. 'N-no… that's not p-possible…'
He had made ample preparations before starting this experiment… it wasn't possible for anyone to survive that.
Before the experiment started, he had planted a small amount of explosive gas in the middle of their brains.
Whenever he pressed the red button, the gas would react, blowing their brains out.
The gas was also created by him, It was meant to be a last resort in case any of them got too difficult to control.
It was supposed to kill them, so why… how was Alex still alive?!
Unfortunately for him, Alex wasn't just anyone…
A pair of bright red eyes slowly lit up within the smoke, sending chills down his spine.
"I-impossible… y-your h-head should be blown into… pieces… why… are you still alive?!" Port'hov shouted, the former calm expression on his face immediately crumbling into one of terror.
