Chapter 39 - Chapter 38 - Stars in the sky

Third person POV

Later at night, while his friends were having fun and chatting at the campfire, Roxas went somewhere near and solitary and sat on its soft, cold grass. He then looked at the clear, night sky and towards the stars. As he did so, he remembered and looked back on his first 2 months in Japan and how Sword Arts Online had changed the course of his life there. He remembered how accepting Anko's last request out of kindness had cost him supernaturally of his body, and as a result, he was essentially a slave to the ghost of Anko until he had completed the huge task that required strategy. Also, luckily, Roxas bought a tent kit for this camping trip as well.

"Buhay-abroad…" he uttered to himself in a low voice, changing the topic in his mind.

That means life abroad in Tagalog.

The stars gave him temporary pleasure for tonight.

But then, Evil Asuna and Evil Klein teleported into the scene and in front of him, startling Roxas suddenly. Both of them did that to scour the forested area for tonight.

"Seems to be quiet here tonight," Asuna said to Klein.

Klein then nodded. "Yes, it was."

"Are you serious this time?" Roxas' mind asked.

And then, a piece of music played in Roxas' mind, causing him to engage in zoning out with music.

"Feliz Navidad," Roxas uttered in a low voice.

Luckily for him, neither of the two Elite Players heard him saying that.

And then, Roxas stood up and just in time, another song, this time a Burmese song, played in his mind. So, in one part of the song, he began to act on his liking of the song with his gestures while singing it out loud even though his pronunciation in Burmese is bad. This time, Asuna and Klein heard that and turned around, seeing him singing while dissociating from reality. Roxas was so focused in his singing that he wasn't scared of them. Then, he finished it off and said to them nicely, "Hello there, good evening."

The open side of his personality was turned on.

Roxas then snickered a bit about his singing performance.

"What was that?" Asuna asked him.

"That was a song in Burmese," Roxas replied back positively and confidently.

And then, Anko came out of his body, happy about the song Roxas sang recently. "Man, that song was so awesome!"

Roxas then looked at him and nodded happily.

Evil Asuna and Evil Klein are like confused.

Roxas and Anko then shared a high-five, before both of them looked at the stars.

"Ang mga ito ay mga tala, or bituin," Roxas said to him while teaching Anko some Tagalog.

The two Elite Players were a bit annoyed, so both of them teleported away from the scene.

With that, Roxas snickered like a child. "Well, that worked very well?"

 "Work what?" Anko asked him.

 "My brand-new tactic."

 "Wha…? That's weird…"

"Yup, I liked to make scenarios like that and mix and match them up, too."

 "Ah…okay…"

After some time, both of them went back to their campsite.

Later, at 9:44 p.m., while he and his friends are sleeping in their tents, Roxas has a dream: he is in a dark void with Anko on his side, like in a previous one with Kirito, and sees someone struggling while being chained to a wall. Only this time, that person was Eugeo in his normal self. Roxas, alongside Anko, was shocked to see him like that.

"What the…? Ito ba ay isang senyales?" Roxas asked himself.

"Eugeo-kun!" Anko said to Eugeo while running to him. "Are you okay?"

Eugeo, with a sad, desperate look on his face, then looked at Anko and was stunned at his presence. "Anko-kun…?"

Roxas then ran towards him.

"Are you okay?" he and Anko asked him at the same time.

"Huh? Are you two working together?" Eugeo asked them.

"Yes, we are, this is Roxas Nietes, my friend and vessel," Anko positively replied while introducing Roxas to him.

"Nice to meet you, Eugeo-kun," Roxas nicely added.

Then, Eugeo looked at Roxas and let out a positive smile. "Nice to mee you, Roxas-kun."

After that, Eugeo revealed to them what had happened in the game, including how he and his friends were controlled by the game's creator, who also had two players who were his main subordinates. Roxas and Anko were surprised and alerted by this revelation, and Roxas closed his eyes for a bit to memorize these bits of information that might be useful in the future. Anko, meanwhile, was deeply sympathetic to Eugeo, as he was his known friend in the game.
