Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Surprising Attack by the Uncrowned Demons

As Prince Naberius's laughter echoed through the clearing, Lyfax remained calm, his eyes never leaving the demon prince. The tension in the air was palpable, and Ayushi could feel her heart pounding in her chest.

"You won't win this, Naberius," Lyfax said softly but firmly. "We're ready to fight for humanity."

Naberius's grin widened. "You really think your little band of misfits can stop me? You're more foolish than I thought."

With a roar, Naberius charged at Lyfax, his immense strength shaking the ground with each step. But Lyfax stood his ground, his calm demeanor unwavering. Just as Naberius was about to strike, Lyfax whispered, "Makkaii: Kagearuki."

In an instant, Lyfax seemed to dissolve into shadows, disappearing from Naberius's path. The demon prince's blow struck empty air, and he staggered forward, momentarily off balance.

Reappearing behind Naberius, Lyfax delivered a swift, precise strike to his back. The demon prince roared in pain, spinning around to face Lyfax with fury in his eyes.

Ayushi watched in awe as Lyfax moved with incredible speed and precision, his ability to blend with the shadows making him almost untouchable. Katamatsu and Mizuchi joined the fray, their own powers combining to create a formidable force against Naberius.

But the demon prince's strength and immortality made him a relentless opponent. He swung his massive fists, each blow capable of shattering stone, and his wounds healed almost instantly.

"You cannot defeat me," Naberius sneered. "I am immortal!"

Lyfax didn't waver. "Immortal or not, you will fall today."

Summoning all his strength, Lyfax unleashed a series of rapid, shadow-infused strikes, each one aimed at weakening Naberius. The battle raged on, with Lyfax's calm determination driving him forward.

Suddenly, the ground trembled, and a powerful force swept through the battlefield, throwing Lyfax and his allies backward. A figure appeared beside Naberius, his presence commanding and menacing.

"Drexel," Naberius said, a smirk curling his lips. "You're just in time."

Drexel, the master of telekinesis, raised his hands, and the air around them crackled with energy. "I won't let you defeat Naberius," he declared, his voice cold and unwavering.

Lyfax's calm demeanor remained unshaken. "We will stand against you both."

As Drexel unleashed a barrage of telekinetic attacks, Mizuchi stepped forward, her eyes gleaming with determination. "I will handle this," she said, her voice steady. "Makkai: Oduro Hebi!"

With a graceful motion, Mizuchi summoned a serpent made of shimmering water, which danced and weaved through the air. The serpent intercepted Drexel's attacks, deflecting them with fluid precision. The battle between Mizuchi and Drexel became a mesmerizing dance, each movement calculated and deadly.

Meanwhile, Lyfax and Naberius continued their fierce confrontation. As Naberius raised his fist for a devastating blow, Lyfax again used Makkaii: Kagearuki, vanishing into the shadows and reappearing above the demon prince. With a powerful downward strike, he pierced Naberius's shoulder, causing him to howl in pain and fury.

Despite his injuries, Naberius's laughter returned, more maniacal than ever. "You think this will stop me? I will rise again and again!"

Katamatsu and Mizuchi continued to support Lyfax, their combined efforts weakening Naberius further. But it was clear that this battle would not be won by strength alone.

Ayushi, feeling a surge of determination, stepped forward. "Lyfax, together we can do this!"

Lyfax nodded, his calm eyes meeting hers. "Stay close, Ayushi. We fight as one."

Drawing on their bond, Ayushi and Lyfax moved in unison, their attacks synchronized. The power of their connection seemed to weaken Naberius further, his movements growing slower and more labored.

With one final, powerful strike, Lyfax and Ayushi combined their strength, driving Naberius to his knees. The demon prince gasped, his immortality failing him for the first time.

As the light began to fade from Naberius's eyes, he let out one last, chilling laugh. "This isn't over. The darkness will rise again."

With that, Naberius collapsed, his body disintegrating into shadows. The battle was over, but the cost had been high.

Drexel, struggling against Mizuchi, turned his attention back to Lyfax. Lyfax looked at Drexel coldly and said, "You're not on my level." He then smiled, calm and confident.

Ayushi, overwhelmed, fainted into Lyfax's arms. "Rest now, Ayushi," he said gently. "You've done well."

Lyfax held her gently, his calm demeanor unwavering even in victory. "Rest now, Ayushi. You've done well."

Katamatsu and Mizuchi approached, their expressions a mix of relief and exhaustion. "It's over," Katamatsu said softly. "For now."
