The Giants stood triple the height of a normal person which made them even more terrifying yet revolting at the same time.
Kenny sighed.
'I thought I would be fighting Demons, not some insects.'
The group drew their weapons and commenced their attack.
The intolerable stench the insects gave off made fighting them even more of a challenge, but the five managed to make it through without any problems. That is until something even more terrifying appeared before them.
It possessed eight long legs with the end of them being sharp enough to make a big impact on the ground every time it took a step. It stood about twenty feet tall and it had many eyes that were very small yet fierce.
"It's a King Arachnid!" Kenny alerted the others as he raised his sword.
The group of Vanquishers turned towards the beast and readied themselves for the Giant monster. Kenny signaled towards Claire and Will to follow his lead while charging towards the monstrosity.
The Giant let out a loud and powerful screech.
"Victor, Mia, support us with your Gifts!" Kenny shouted.
William disappeared and appeared beside the giant beast, he swung his sword and struck one of its legs, but the monsters exterior was so sturdy that it felt like William had hit steel which made the recoil quite painful.
"Go for the joints!" William yelled.
The King Arachnid struck William with one of its eight legs, but with his sword, William blocked the sharp edge of its leg, though still sending Will into a nearby tree.
At the same time Kenny had jumped on the creature as Claire went under it and struck multiple of its joints making the creature fall down onto its sternum.
Victor raised his hand and conjured a blue flame and discharged it towards the creature, landing straight into its face, igniting a fierce flame on its head as the creature began to screech in agony.
Kenny still on top of the Giant Spider raised his sword in the air and with all his strength pierced the spiders burning head and twisted his blade making the creature shake its entire body, Kenny quickly took his sword and leaped off the giant's body.
The flame died down, its head was half way burned, but the creature was still moving. The innards of the creature could be seen from where part of its head was missing, which made for quite a revolting scene. Claire was thankfully still still behind the Giant.
The creature was still moving around, attempting to get up.
"These damn things are so annoying." Victor said.
Mia raised her hand and suddenly, ice shards the size of a small knife conjured around her. The shards discharged from around her with great speed and into the head of the giant.
But the King Arachnid still remained alive. Kenny dashed in and sliced off its head which was barley hanging on and at the same time cut its body in two from its pedicel.

Kenny's face lit up with excitement.
'Yes! Finally, a new gift!'
Kenny opened his status window and read:

[Regalia: None]
'Reanimation? What the hell is that?'
Kenny tapped on the text.
[Reanimation: Reanimation allows for one to reanimate the dead and have them serve under you has their King. You are allowed a certain amount of attempts to reanimate the deceased based on their strength.]
Kenny's face was filled with excitement yet confusion. His mind was filled with many questions.
'I can revive the dead and have them serve me as their king?! Does this include humans? How many attempts do I get? What's the limit of servants I can have? How do I summon them? Can I use it consecutively?'
A soft voice suddenly interrupted his train of thought.
"Hey Kenny, we're going to start regrouping with the others now." Mia said while have one hand on Kenny's shoulder and the other near her chest.
"Go on with out me, I'll catch up in a couple of minutes."
"But we can't just leave you here, what if another one shows up?"
Kenny gave Mia a faint smile.
"Don't worry, King Arachnids are territorial and stay within their own territory which means that another one won't show up."
Mia gave Kenny a worried look but decided to trust Kenny and left without him.
'Now to test it out.'
Kenny walked up to the King Arachnid, then circled around it.
'So… how do I do this?'
Kenny thought for a while and then put his hand on the King Arachnid.
[Would you like to reanimate "King Arachnid"?].
Kenny was quite startled by the notification.
"Yes."
[Reanimation failed, would you like to try again?]
"Yes."
[Reanimation successful].
A white mist started to emit from the King Arachnid's body as its injures began to heal on their own. Once the King Arachnid was fully recovered a red portal appeared beside it and the Giant walked in and disappeared.
[You have received the title "Reanimator"]
'What? a title too? Did the bad luck of my last Gift turn into good luck for my second Gift or something? Anyways, how do I summon it?'
[Chose a way to summon your servants].
'I can chose a way to summon it? Can it be anything?'
Kenny thought for a good minute.
"Come forth."
A red portal opened behind him and the King Arachnid walked through. Kenny looked behind himself and grinned.
Kenny began to test out his new Gift. In the process of doing so he learned that his servants react to his orders whether he says them out loud or thinks about them. Furthermore, their strength is greatly reduced, probably due to his low Rank, so he didn't even try to reanimate the small fry that were laying dead on the ground.
"Anyways, It's about time I start heading back."
Kenny headed back to the regrouped platoon of Vanquishers.
On the way back to Mithilis Kenny couldn't stop thinking about his new Gift. He was relieved to finally have a Gift that is useful in battle.
'I wonder what the General is going to think?'
