-If you want to avenge those you've lost, you must do what is necessary, hateful one.
Argus clenched his fists, his jaw set in a steely resolve. The voice's words echoed in his mind, igniting a fire of determination within him. He had already vowed to avenge those he had lost, but now his mission had grown. The Central Authority, the heretic attunement masters, the Ministry, and all its prophets—they were all now on his list.
The sorrow that had weighed heavy on his heart began to shift, morphing into a seething anger. Every memory of the people he had lost, especially Indra, whose death was still fresh and painful, fueled his hatred and disgust. The thought of their suffering, of the injustice they had faced, burned like a raging inferno inside him.
Argus knew that his path would be fraught with danger and bloodshed, but he was undeterred. He would stop at nothing to see justice served, to make those responsible for his pain pay dearly for their crimes. With a renewed sense of purpose, he rose from his seat, his eyes blazing with a newfound resolve. The time for mourning was over; now, it was time for action.
He knew that seeking out the attunement masters would not be an easy task. They were powerful individuals, each with their own abilities and followers. But Argus was determined to find them.
With determination in his eyes, he approached the innkeeper, who looked at him with a mix of fear and curiosity. Argus could see the question in the innkeeper's eyes, but he didn't care. He needed information, and he needed it now.
-Neo, what do you know about the locations of the attunement masters?
-There are four attunement masters in total, in the Etrean and Eastern Luminants. They each use a different attunement. Frostdraw Master Nell is the only master in Etris. He is the closest one to here. You can reach him by following the dirt road to the right of the Guild House. Another attunement master in the Etrean Luminant is Galebreath Master Friid. He should be on Isle of Vigils. The other two attunement masters are in the Eastern Luminant. The only information I have about them is that one is on an island near Fort Merit, around the Summer Company's island, and the other is in Songseeker.
-That's enough information.
-There's something I'm ashamed to ask.
-What is it?
-Why did you ask for their locations? What are you going to do with that?
-I will kill each of them, one by one.
Argus's seriousness startled Neo, who fell silent and didn't say another word. Argus left the Inn, his eyes bloody.
His silent heart, freed from the song itself, could not bear the death of another loved one. To prevent more, he needed to become stronger. His first target was the attunement master in Etris. Since the Guild House was very close, it wasn't difficult for him to reach Nell.
-Oh, I see someone has come to learn my ice teachings! Wait a minute. What is this disgusting aura-
Before Nell could finish his sentence, Argus struck him with a perfect hit, causing Nell to fall to the ground.
-Why are you doing this?
Without answering Nell's question, Argus pierced his body with hundreds of hits. The whole of Etris was screaming under Argus's hits. Nell's screams were so loud that they could be heard from the other Luminants. Unable to withstand Argus's mighty strikes, Nell died shortly after. After Nell's death, the voices rose once again.
-Well done, hateful one. Let's continue to take our revenge. For each master you kill, we will grant you more power.
Argus's next target was Galebreath Master Friid. It would take a long time to get to Isle of Vigils because the shortest route was surrounded by the Authority. He was still not strong enough to resist the Authority. He gathered enough food for a few days and bought a larger ship than before.
