Following Molly, Axel kept going deeper into the forest with tears in his eyes and out stretch hands to reach his Molly. Just when she stopped and Axel was abel to reach her, her whole figure changed into an old wrinkled hag covered from head to toe with an overall black cloth. He lifted his face up and saw the witch Infront of him. Axel became very scard and tried running away but the witch was never going to let her catch off so easily so she used her magic and froze him to the very spot he stood with only his eyes moving but his entire body felt as though they didn't belong to him cause he couldn't move it.
Please, don't kill me, he plead with the witch.
But how can I get your life force if you don't die little one. The witch asked smiling while rolling her tongue round her lips as she wouldn't wait to sap him dry.
Please, am just ten, I don't wanna die, Axel pleaded as more tears rolled out from his eyes.
You will have to die eventually, sooner or later my darling. Am just sparing you the hash life that comes with it. You are but a little mouse in a big ocean, just take a few more gulps of water and drown, it's better than trying to swim to the shore you can't even see. Think of it this way, picture a very beautiful place in your mind and imagine I am sending you there to live forever with your Molly. The witch said as she began reciting her spells to take the remaining days of his life.
Molly.... Axel said slowly.
Just a dieing wish from a little boy, you are a powerful witch and I am nothing compared, but I beg of you to grant me just one wish before taking my life, Axel said
Oh! Please my darling...
Alright, I don't usually do this but just this one time would not hurt.
So what do you want? The witch asked irritated as hell.
Can you at least tell me what happened to my Molly, is she safe? Where is she now?
I want to go to my dead knowing I did at least one good thing for her, for all she endured for me, all the torment, the tears, the fights, the kinds at the orphanage, the nurses too, and the entire village. Let me know I sent her as far away as I possibly could from this hell, please, I just want to know she is better now. To know she ended up better than I.
The witch was quite for a whole one minute and just looked at him. She was confused for those few seconds, she had granted wishes for people before for one reason or another but Axel's wish moved something in her. Others were selfish and vengeful and spiteful, in need of poison or other stuff but Axel wanted to die knowing he did good for somebody, so the witch agreed.
I can do that but I will need something that belongs to Molly, something dear to her and you. The witch replied.
Axel looked at his wrist and saw Molly's hairband that she gave him on his seventh birthday, while the were still in the orphanage, it is the only thing of hers he could carry around with ease. And so he asked the witch to take it from his wrist. the hair band was pink in color and had a little butterfly on it.
With this the witch said a few words of spell and bit her little finger to draw blood and let it drop on the hairband.
The hairband busted in flames and gave out a pink smoke which flow in Axel's directions and into his nosetrils. Once Axel inhaled the smoke, he saw the terror that befalls molly, from the moment she walked out of the orphanage and into hiding in the forest, waiting for him. He saw the witch and Molly walk into the tree which opend up to a nice looking room. He saw the witch hypnotized molly when she wasn't look and spoke her spells before a white light came out from Molly's mouth and into the witches mouth. Molly's skin was wrinkled and old as she fell to the ground with her eyes wide open in shock and fear.
Axel let out a loud scream as the vision was over. This supprised the witch as this wasn't the reaction she was expecting to see.
She used her magic to free Axel as he fell to the ground and squeeze himself to a ball, I killed her, I led her to her dead, he kept repeating those words over and over.
From self pity, Anger like no other was born in his heart and hatred filled his soul. He swore to make every last dark witches pay for Molly's life, but first he had to get away from this one. Noticing that he was free, he rose up to look around for an escape route. The witch seeing this immediately spoke her spells and the life from him began leaving his body.
Axel closed his eyes and imagine himself a rat, if I was a rat, I would ran away into the dark and the witch would never find me. The miracle worked for him as he immediately turned into a rat and ran away. It was his first experience and though he managed to get away, part of his life was taken from him. He kept running till he got back to the village and into the orphanage kitchen.
He tried turning back but he was too weak and he was stocked in that form for the rest of his teenage life. He live from one trashcan to another and ate all sort of garbage just like a rat. He was often chased by the children and elderly people.
After living like a rat for nine years, one day he tried again to change and behold, it worked for him. He was naked like the day he was born. He walked like that to the bank of the river and saw his reflection in the waters. He looked like an old man in a small body. The time the witch took from him made him older than his age but he didn't care much about his looks, he can be anything and anybody he wanted to be from that moment forward. He changed into one of the boys he saw in the orphanage called James and ran back inside.
Axel know that they can only be one James so he bagan look for a way to get rid of the real James. He stole cakes from the baker's shop and took it up in a bag to James dorm.
Axel changed to another person, a girl this time and stood there to call out to James. James got out from the dorm and met with Anne, the girl Axel changed into, she immediately offered him the cake and showed him the bag, let's sneak out and enjoy ourselves together, by the riverside.
James, a lover of cake who had a crush on Anne, agreed and they both sneak out of the orphanage. It was dark outside and they didn't carry a torch, they don't need it as they know their way round the village. Getting to the river, they both sat down to eat the cake and Anne said she needed a release.
Axel as Anne walked away into the bush, brought out a little knife he took with him and walked quietly back to James, and without James noticing it, Axel repeatedly stab James and on the chest with one of his hands covering his mouth so that the muffle screams he made were not heard. He drag a big stone and tied it to James legs as he rolled him into the waters. James sink down to the bottom of the river never to be discovered and Axel took his form and returned back to the orphanage were he lived.
He kept doing this for a few more years, once the form he took was ten years old, he will be sent out of the orphanage only to change back to another person. He knows all the kids there and studied them closely like a book to know them better so he can lure his next victim without stress and behave like them when the time comes.
