Jess's smile widened. "That's how it should be. And for the record, if he ever screws up, you just let me know. I've got a whole arsenal of ways to make his life miserable."
Nia laughed, shaking her head. "I'll keep that in mind."
Their conversation was interrupted by the sound of the door knocking and opening. Anthony stepped in, his sharp eyes scanning the office before nodding subtly in Nia's direction.
"Everything's secure," he said. "I've already checked the building's perimeter, and the guards are stationed at all key points. You're safe."
Nia offered him a grateful smile. "Thank you, Anthony. I appreciate it."
Anthony gave her a small nod, his expression softening slightly. "It's my job, ma'am. But if you need anything else, just let me know."
As Anthony stepped aside, Jess leaned closer, whispering, "You know, it's kind of hot that you have a bodyguard now. It's giving major boss-lady vibes."
