Nia stirred awake, the first light of dawn sneaking through the curtains, bathing the room in a soft golden glow.
She blinked against the brightness, her body immediately reminding her of the night before. Her muscles ached deliciously, a soreness that brought a flush to her cheeks as she recalled every moment—the kisses, the touches, the way Zack had held her as if she were the most precious thing in the world.
She had lost count of how many times he had pushed her over the edge, her body and soul surrendering to him completely. They were on it till he dawn almost. Not that she complained.
Turning her head, she found Zack still asleep beside her, his face relaxed, almost boyish in the peacefulness of slumber. His dark lashes rested against his cheekbones, and a stray lock of hair fell over his forehead. He looked so at ease, so different from the guarded, commanding man she had grown used to.
She couldn't help but smile.
He loved her.
