"Whoa!"

"This is so cool!"

The children looked at the inside of the caterpillar in awe. They slid their fingers over the fine crafted seats that were arranged in two columns with two seats per row.

"This just keeps getting better and better." They said with joy.

"Have your seats, we're about to take off." The children heard a voice that sounded as though it was speaking directly into their ears.

They all looked forward to the small door in front of the passenger's seats separating them from the driver..? Pilot? Winged caterpillar captain? Whatever a person who flies it is called. They listened to the man's voice and picked their seats.

Due to less people qualifying, there were many seats to be taken. As they sat, they felt the caterpillar-like vehicle lift off from the ground. With that, they were on the road to Darkmoon Academy.

The entire journey felt magical to everyone on board. They would look out the glass covered windows and stare at the birds that flew past, the land beneath them soon changed into waters.

"Hm? I honestly thought you would be more excited about being accepted into the academy since it's all you've ever talked about. What is with the face?" Jarett asked Lecter who sat beside him.

Lecter squeezed his knees a bit and he looked down.

"I am excited, really. But my nerves are acting up. I can't wait to get there, at the same time, I feel like I need more time and this is so sudden." Lecter replied.

"Well, I understand." Jarett looked out the window. His mind still wandered to his mother and sister and then he sighed. "You should just relax."

The twins sat silently behind them in the caterpillar. Kiyan rested his arm on the armrest and placed his chin on his left arm while looking out the window doing his best to ignore the person that stood, looking into their seats.

"Ugh.. come on now! You're seriously ignoring me?" Brown hair groaned as he continually poked Kiyan's face. "Or do you not remember me?" He turned to Raten who finally spared him a glance.

"Enoe Keave, what an unpleasant surprise." He said.

"Aha! You do remember me." He smiled brightly as Kiyan slapped his finger away. "And what you just said is untrue. Seeing me is always a pleasant surprise."

"What are you even doing here?" Kiyan asked. "Didn't you say you wanted nothing to do with magic and was preparing to inherit your father's businesses?"

"I did say that, but I changed my mind. I'm here because two nitwits left without bothering to say goodbye." He pinched both their cheeks. "I'm offended by the way."

"I just didn't think I'd see the both of you so soon." He let go. "So tell me, how was life without me? Boring wasn't it? Shhh, you don't have to say anything. I already know." He placed a finger over Kiyan's lips shushing him.

"Oh goodness, you're still the same." Raten placed his forehead in his palm.

"Indeed, I am. Also, what's with this cold front? You're acting the same way you did the first time we met. Lighten up a bit!"

"He's right you know, at least show that you're excited to be here." Jarett said, looking over from his seat. He knelt on his chair and looked back so they could see his head.

"See? Even the big guy agrees I'm right. Which is not a surprise." Enoe placed both hands on their head and moved forward so he could be closer to Jarett.

"Do you know that these two are my spawns?"

"Oh really?" Jarett grinned. Enoe nodded excitedly.

"I said, stop calling us that!" The twins pushed his hands off.

"They never mentioned having a friend from the village." Lecter said, looking over as well.

"Village? Dear me, I am not from any filthy village. Enoe Keave met his spawns in Venus City." Enoe responded, referring to himself in third person.

"What were you doing in Raldon anyway? I'm sure the exams were also taken in Venus." Raten spoke.

"Honestly, I got lost and ended up in Raldon. Luckily, I had a lot of money with me and could live just fine."

"You could have just gone back."

"No, no. I saw something that piqued my interest in Raldon, so I chose not to leave."

After much poking and annoying the twins, Enoe finally kept quiet.

They all anxiously waited to get to Darkmoon. The place that held the key to their dreams.

They had long passed any land and flew over waters for a while now. Other caterpillars flew by with wizards following on pegasi.

They flew over mountains and into clouds until..

"Hey, what is that?" One of the kids pointed out of the openable window.

Ahead of them, what looked like storm clouds stretched from the skies to the surface of the waters. They were dark and fearsome. Loud rumbles of thunder could be heard. Streaks of lightning bolts would pass by.

"Why are we flying in that direction?" Another asked as he gulped his saliva in fear.

"Don't tell me Darkmoon is beyond that." A girl stared in horror and disbelief.

The blindfolded girl didn't understand the rising questions of worry for when she looked ahead, she saw nothing but orange lines of energy.

"Everyone please be seated or this will be a ride you'll hate." The same voice warned.

Those standing sat immediately gripping tightly to the armrest of their chairs. Vines appeared from the seats and wrapped around them like a seatbelt.

The wizards flew in with their pegasi while the caterpillar hovered in place.

It began to spin horizontally. Slowly, the speed increased. The newly admitted students had their eyes closed as they began getting dizzy spells. As the caterpillar spun, they would be turned upside down and back up again.

Their bodies would lift off the chairs but were held tightly by the vines and so prevented them from falling off and flying about in the spinning vehicle.

"AAAAGGHHH!!" They screamed as it got faster, spinning like a drill in the sky.

Then like a bolt, it blasted through the dark clouds too fast the kids were almost merged with their seats. Lightning would hit the caterpillar causing it to shake violently, coupled with the loud sounds of thunderclaps, the kids screamed even louder.

"Make it stop!" A boy cried.

"AHHH! We're going to die!" A girl screamed.

"Mother!"

They kept screaming in fear until the caterpillar pierced through to the other side of the clouds and into the land where Darkmoon Academy stood tall.

When their ride calmed once more, the vines on the kids loosened. Some of them vomited on the caterpillar, making others move away in disgust. Most of them still saw the world spinning in their eyes.

When their hearts finally calmed down, they looked out the windows and onto the land.

"We're here!" One of them shrieked.

The caterpillar flew slowly towards the grand building that stood in the centre of the island. It was of a height very towering and looked like it could fit ten houses in its walls.

"That's Darkmoon!" Kiyan pressed his forehead against the window looking at the academy building with a bright smile.

"Let me see!" Raten shoved him to the side and looked out the window as well.

"Isn't it glorious?!" Jarett said, looking out the window as well. Lecter couldn't agree more.

"Look, it's a dragon!" A girl called out with a gasp.

"Where?!" They looked out the windows excitedly. Their eyes met with a large scaly creature. It had wings running from its forelimbs to its hind limbs and a long tail. It flew around for a while before stopping in front of a woman who held a smaller version of it in her arms.

"Uhm, that's not a dragon."

"That's a wyvern."

"Wyvern? Dragon? At least we saw one." The girl who cried 'dragon' said.

Looking ahead, other caterpillars flew in. Each holding accepted admitted students inside. Every one of them were indescribably happy to be there.

Landing slowly onto the earth, twelve caterpillars stopped in front of the tall gates of Darkmoon Academy. The doors opened up at once and the students rushed outside eager to put their feet on the land that birthed wonders.

"We're really here." Lecter whispered looking up at the gates of the academy. The wizards flew down on their winged horses and walked towards it.

The sound of locks going off resonated in their ears causing silence to come from the crowd. With a loud creak, the gates of Darkmoon opened up slowly shining glorious light on those in front of it.

The emerald green eyes of the twins sparkled looking into the gates, then they smiled.

So it begins.
