For straight thirty seconds, Sebastian stood rooted in the spot, his mouth agape. He struggled to form words, but for some reason, his vocal cords failed to comply. 'Say something!' He screamed at himself inwardly, but before he could manage, Don Alberto interjected silkily.
"I know this must be your first time being offered such an amount. As such the feeling must be overwhelming. Your reaction is nothing more than I expected," he turned towards his daughter, giving her a brief look before returning his attention to the awestruck stranger. "But we don't have all day, Sebastian. I'm a very busy man so give me your answer right this moment."
