Mr. Sommer, the group's leader, glanced at the two with disdain. Spark Enterprises had been plagued for the past two days due to a lawsuit filed by Orion Industries. Anastasia Reed had spent every day outside Orion Industries office, hoping to see Gideon Boysen. However, the Reed family's men had yet to show up.
According to the contract, Anastasia was meant to be in charge. Still, the Reeds had immediately appointed Brendan as general manager of Spark Enterprises on the same morning they signed the deal. Anastasia, left with swollen and red eyes, had been struggling ever since.

"Since we have delivered the legal letter, it's time for us to leave now," Sommer said, finishing the paperwork.

"Wait, Mr. Sommer! It's all a misunderstanding! Mr. Boysen must have taken a liking to Anastasia Reed. It's fine. I'll send her over to Mr. Boysen right away. It doesn't matter what position she's assigned. We don't care about superficial statuses. We will continue cooperating with the Reeds if Mr. Boysen withdraws this legal letter."
"Bloody hell!" Sommer cursed immediately, startled by Thaddeus's shamelessness. Would any ordinary person give away their grandchild as if she were cargo without hesitation? How could a grandfather say that? What a ruthless grandfather!

"What? Do we have to hand over Spark Enterprises and an additional five million dollars?" Brendan sprang up furiously.
"Shut up!" Thaddeus silenced Brendan.
Sommer ignored Brendan and smiled, "Alternatively, you may choose to pay ninety million dollars in compensation."
Brendan and Thaddeus Reed were visibly upset.
Under Reed's administration, Spark Enterprises' progress had needed improvement, and it could have been better if not for Anastasia closing specific deals now and then. Spark Enterprises was currently valued at less than twenty million dollars.
Handing over Spark Enterprises and paying another five million dollars to Orion Industries was a much more acceptable option than paying ninety million dollars.
Brendan and Thaddeus were frustrated, feeling like they were about to vomit blood.
They had been ecstatic after signing the contract but ended up with no earnings and lost their company and five million dollars. Why wouldn't they be upset?

Thaddeus forced a grin and agreed. "Okay, we agree!"
Soon after, both parties signed all the agreements and transfer processes before lawyers and notaries.
Spark Enterprises was officially separated from the Reeds.
Brendan felt the loss acutely. Although they had initially taken Spark Enterprises away from Anastasia, they had long considered it theirs. Furthermore, the five million dollars left a significant hole in their finances.
Thaddeus felt the same pain. Nonetheless, he forced himself to smile at the representatives of Orion Industries before leading them out.
It didn't help that the prominent Quinn family funded Orion Industries. The Reeds felt tricked but dared not express their discontent.
