Chapter 40 - Anniversary Gift

Boysen's comments and the attendees' knowing glances were like countless slaps to the Reeds' faces, making them blush with humiliation.

A few days ago, they still owned Spark Enterprises...

Damien Monroe stood up with a smile. "As long as Spark Enterprises is willing, the Monroe Corporation would be delighted to cooperate with them."

Damien Monroe, the county's wealthiest man, had taken the initiative to propose a partnership. The others quickly followed suit, rising anxiously. This is the moment they are waiting—the very reason for attending this luxurious party. Secure partnership and collaboration under the umbrella of Orion Industries. This is a rare opportunity for them.

"The Foster family hopes to work with Spark Enterprises! We will be open for the collaboration."

"The Marts, too! Mr. Boysen, please give us a chance."

"The Greens as well! If we can work with Spark Enterprises, we will offer a fifteen percent profit-sharing arrangement!"

Suddenly, families of varying statuses were eager to collaborate with Spark Enterprises.

For the larger businesses, partnering with Spark Enterprises could strengthen their ties with Orion Industries. For smaller companies, working with an entity under Orion Industries' umbrella was a fantastic opportunity. Everyone was eager. With this collaboration in place with Spark Enterprises, soaring high of their status is inevitable

When the Reeds witnessed this, their hearts ached with regret. Just a few days ago, they still owned Spark Enterprises. Now, with so many prospects for collaboration, the company's value would undoubtedly rise. Unfortunately, it was no longer theirs!

Boysen raised his hand and gestured for the attendees to quiet down, continuing his speech.

"Everyone, I appreciate your recognition of Spark Enterprises. We can discuss potential collaborations in more detail later. But for now, let us move on to the second agenda item for tonight's banquet."

"Of course, please go ahead, Mr. Boysen!" the guests responded eagerly.

"For the second matter, I'd like you all to witness a beautiful expression of love with me."

Boysen clapped his hands, and the lights in the dining hall dimmed. The curtains behind him parted, and a brilliant spotlight illuminated the small hall at the front, showcasing a stunning display.

"Wow!"

"Oh my goodness!"

"How beautiful!"

Exclamations of amazement and surprise filled the hall.

Especially the wealthy women in attendance couldn't take their eyes off the display.

In the small hall, hundreds of crystal display cases of varying heights stood behind the curtains, each containing a breathtaking piece of jewelry that sparkled brilliantly under the lights.

Seeing just one or two pieces would have been impressive, but the dazzling light from so many items created a mesmerizing visual effect.

In the center of the display was a large pink diamond the size of a pigeon's egg, set against a black velvet background, reflecting a stunning, dreamlike light.

"Ah! That pink diamond sold for over forty million dollars at the auction that night!"

"Oh my goodness! Those exquisite jade bangles were one of the auction's final items!"

"And that sapphire pendant was also sold for tens of millions during the auction!"

The crowd was excited as they recognized the valuable artifacts purchased by the mysterious tycoon at the auction that night.

Could the mysterious tycoon be Mr. Boysen from Orion Industries?

If that were true, everyone would need to reconsider Boysen's position within Orion Industries.

Thaddeus and Brendan turned as pale as sheets.

They had hoped to make a comeback with the help of the mysterious businessman from the auction. If Boysen was that tycoon, what hope did they have?

"No, no. I believe there's a misunderstanding. These jewelry pieces do not belong to me, and I am not the mysterious person from the auction," Boysen clarified.

"The jewelry belongs to a man who wishes to remain anonymous. These are gifts for his wife on their wedding anniversary.

"This young man was inexperienced when he married and couldn't provide anything for his wife.

"To prove himself worthy, he left to pursue his career without saying goodbye. He was away for several years.

"Now, he's returned. He purchased these rare pieces of jewelry at the auction as a gesture of love for his wife, hoping she would accept them.

"Let us celebrate this couple's wedding anniversary and wish them a lifetime of happiness!"

Boysen led the audience in applause.

The hall erupted in applause.

Although no one knew the identities of the mysterious man and his wife, the fact that he could afford to spend millions on exquisite jewelry and get Boysen to organize a banquet for him indicated he was an influential figure.

The magnificent jewelry captivated many wealthy women who were jealous of their fortunate wives.

Sitting at the main table, Anastasia looked on with a hint of envy, not for the expensive jewelry but for the young man's apparent love and devotion to his wife.

Charlotte suddenly recalled something. "Anastasia, isn't it also your wedding anniversary with Ethan? And doesn't Mr. Boysen's story sound similar to yours? Could Ethan have arranged all of this for you?" Charlotte wondered and smiling.

Though she had seen Ethan's commanding presence at the kindergarten and sensed he had lived an extraordinary life over the years, the idea of Ethan spending millions on jewelry seemed far-fetched!

Claudia fixated on the dazzling jewels, wishing she could seize them. She felt jealous of the woman who had such a loving husband.

Upon hearing Charlotte's words, Claudia rolled her eyes. "What nonsense are you talking about? How could that good-for-nothing Ethan afford these jewels? He will never be able to in this lifetime or the next!"
