Chapter 36 - Chapter 36 - Someone Truly Special

Year and half ago

"Boss, he has been seen at the airport" it was Arthur who informed his boss who was seated in his car working on his Ipad. "Let's proceed" he command to his men as he looked up and turned his gaze outside the window shielded with black glass. As he turned, he saw a beautiful view in front of him.

"Savannah" he whispered under his breath as he looked out with a small smile on his face, "Stop", he instantly instructed his driver who was about to drive, but something told Blaze to stop and stay a bit longer, maybe Savannah is the woman who draws him in.

On the other hand, Savannah was playing in the park with some kids who looked like patients because he was wearing a gown, and Blaze did not do anything except watch her from inside his car with a smile on his face. He just watched as she play, laughed, ran here and there with the kids behind her, faked crying as she was caught by them. She wore her hospital scrubs, indicating she's still on duty.

Blaze's POV

It's not just the joy on her face or the way her laughter rings out, but how effortlessly she connects with the children in the playground. Watching her play with the kids is incredibly captivating. This is her zone, blending playful energy with genuine care, as if she is completely in tune with herself and the world around her.

I find myself admiring the way she interacts with the children. Her patience, her ability to get down to their level, both physically and emotionally. It is clear that she understands them in a way beyond words. It is heartwarming to see how they respond to her with such trust and enthusiasm when she smiles and encourages them.

When she joins in their games, she's not just participating, she was elevating their experience, making every moment feel special. Her energy is infectious, drawing everyone into a shared sense of fun and adventure.

In these moments, I see a side of her that is pure and unfiltered. It's a reminder of her ability to bring out the best in those around her and the deep, nurturing qualities she has. Watching her like this, I'm filled with a profound sense of appreciation and love. It's these small, everyday moments that reveal the depth of her character and why I'm so grateful to have her in my life. But she is not mine yet.

I waited in the green room for 20 minutes before the crew called and I walked out with Arthur, we were here for the health conference and I was the chief guest, although I didn't want to be there.

My ears rang with a familiar laughter halfway to the conference room, and I scanned the room until I spotted her.

As I watched her laugh, I felt an immense sense of appreciation and affection. When she laughed, it felt like a pure expression of joy, a joy I felt privileged to witness. Her laughter made everything around me seem more vibrant, as if her happiness was contagious and lit up my own world as well.

I noticed how her laughter brings out the best in her. How her eyes sparkle, how her whole demeanor shifts to one of carefree delight. It could be a moment where he feels a deep connection, seeing her so genuinely happy and at ease. Her laughter remind me of the reasons I am falling for her, with her in the first place, her warmth, her sense of humor, and the way she makes even ordinary moments feel special.

In those moments, I find himself simply captivated, appreciating the way her laughter reveals her inner beauty and the joy she brings into his life.

Watching her talk with a group of aged women, I wondered if she was here to attend the conference?

It was my time to deliver a speech and as the applause echoed, I stood up from my seat and walked to the stage, and once again I caught a glimpse of her on her seat, looking at me while I spoke.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Distinguished Guests, I am honored to stand in front of you today to address an issue of profound significance-one that affects not only individuals, but our communities and society as a whole. The issue is not merely a statistic or a challenge to be managed, it is a call to action, a plea for empathy, and a testament to our collective resilience,"

As I deliver my speech, my eyes were catching her evertime as she listened carefully to everything I said, It is fate we are destined for?

"Watch where you go!" In the hallway of the restaurant, a voice echoed as I stepped out of the elevator. I did not pay attention to it, just made my way into the restaurant in search of my private room. But when I heard her voice, I halted my steps, it was her, I recognize her voice.

Upon turning to where the sound came from, I saw my angel standing there with an apologetic face and concern on her face. As I walked closer, I could see it was the food all over the floor and on her? Why was she apologizing for?

As I approached them, I thought it was time for me to correct the error. I couldn't just stand there and do nothing about my angel. "What is going on here?" Everyone stared at me, the staff looked a little frightened looking at me "Mr. Baldwin" the waiter came to me "I'm so sorry for the inconvenience" I could not hear what he was saying, all my attention was on her who stood there doing nothing, "Hey, you miss, apologise" they have got to be kidding.

"Apologise" I said in a commanding tone to the guy who was watching her with hatred, the guy looked at me with knitted brows, "Are you telling me to apologize" he again questioned the same thing, "Apologise?" I repeated the word again, and he walked toward me. "What the hell?" he began walking towards me.

"Sorry everyone for the inconvenience, my apologies Mr. Baldwin" the manager turned to me and apologized. "Guards led him out" I looked at her who was still standing there looking at her clothes drenched with food. "Apologise to her," I told the manager. Afterwards, he went inside with his staff.

While standing in front of her, I told her, "You have to fight for yourself." She looked up with those two gems shining brightly. "Thank you," she said in a still, soft voice, "Leave that to me." I replied, "What?" She questioned in confusion. I adored her so much. "But on a serious note, you won't win the battle, you'll have to fight the truth, so don't be afraid to speak up and put them in their place" I told her, "Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself." She smiled, not as brightly as the rest of the day, but a small smile, "Thank you again, I'll remember that forever" she said, "Got the best advice from a stranger like you" the word 'stranger' hurts me. "It's fine, I see you got food all over" I said, looking at her clothes.

In response, she said, "Well, I guess I will have to go home." She chuckled, "Anyways, thanks for today, good night." She was about to turn, but "Are you gonna leave without having a meal?" I stopped her. "I can't eat in these clothes here, of course," she replied, rolling her eyes, and god I loved it "Mind if I help you?" She knitted her brows again. "Yes or no" I asked and she thought for a moment, but then said, "What if I say yes?" "Will you do magic on my clothes for the stai-?"

I cut her midway "Arthur" I called my secretary's name who was standing behind me and he walked away, "Stop with the jokes now Mr" she smiled as she said those things, and I wondered how she could smile even in this state. "I gotta go so that I can cook and eat, otherwise I'll be sleeping empty stomach" I just listened to her as she talked.

After a moment of wallowing, I asked her to wait for two minutes. She sighed. "You seem like a nice guy" she said as she glanced up and down at me. "Jokes don't suit you right now-" - "Here boss" and I extended the white paper bag what Arthur gave me towards her, she arched her brows in utter confusion. "What is this?" she asked innocently. "Look at it for yourself" she hesitated, but after some time she took it and checked it, and then turned her big eyes at me.

"My apologies, but I can't take them" she refused. "You have to or you go back home and cook after being exhausted all day long" I replied and she began to think with the paperbag still in her grip. I watched her, admire her pretty beautiful face, and she replied "Okay" this time I arched my brows "Onayfor?" I questioned "I'll accept them for the moment." I chuckled at her pure behavior and nodded as she walked to Change.

What struck me most was the subtle, yet profound sense of authenticity about her. There was an unforced sincerity in her demeanor that made it clear she was truly herself, and that authenticity was incredibly attractive. It was like encountering a rare gem-someone who was completely genuine and unpretentious.

Even in that first meeting, it was clear that she had a light about her that went beyond physical beauty. It was a radiance that came from within, an inner warmth and kindness that made her unforgettable. I found myself drawn to her in a way I hadn't expected, and as I continued to observe her, I couldn't help but feel that this was a person I wanted to know better, someone who had already left an indelible impression on me.

Meeting her for the first time was like discovering a hidden treasure, and I knew that she was someone truly special.
