Somewhere in the woods
My eyes were tingling, it was like all sorts of memories were coming back to me, all those hard times, all those torment times, and all those unbearable parts of my life, how I was disowned by everybody for all these years. This man in front of me made me feel at my lowest. He was the reason I was once vulnerable, having nowhere to go, at risk of being attacked or harmed, both physically and emotionally.
The sight of him right in front of me made me angry. I hate him. Imagine standing at the edge of a cliff with the wind blowing around you and the turbulent sea crashing against the rocks below. And that's how it feels when my anger toward him rises.
"Sorry my bad, let me correct myself" he added "Father of our child" As these words escaped his lips, I felt disgusted to the core and he grinned at me as he walked into the bedroom and took a seat on the bed eating an apple in his hand, "Open the door and let me fucking out of here!" My angry outburst showed as I said this. He laughed like a madman again and I knitted my brows in confusion, wondering what is so funny?
"Do you really think I bought you here to let you go just like that?" he asked, changing his expression completely. His look was now like he was being aggressive, "No Savannah, I can't do that" he replied sarcastically, "What do you want?" I asked without wasting any time since it was obvious that he wanted something from me.
But what? After all these years he hadn't contacted in any way, why now? What does he want? Several thoughts surrounded my mind about any possible possibility, but none surfaced.
He seemed to have thought or he was acting like one thinking man? He must be kidding right now, he suddenly gave a smile before getting up from the bed and walking towards me. I took a step back as this man cannot be trusted with his actions and I don't want to be close to him. "I want my son" As soon as the demand left his mouth, I couldn't comprehend what he was talking about?Son? He wanted Theo?
I chuckled agrresively, frustrated that this man had the audacity to ask for him, I slapped him, "Dare you ask this?" I don't know why, but my anger overpowered me and I slapped him on the cheek "You-" I cut him off "You've got to be kidding" I stared at him coldly and said, "Do whatever you want, but guess what?"
"You ain't getting my child honey" I replied "Fuck off" he grabbed a handful of my hair, I felt great pain but didn't show it as I shouldn't be weak in front of anyone. "Did I hurt your pride baby?" I said as I smiled and his grip tightened "You're still brat." Thud! And everything went peach black to me
Baldwin's Mansion
They were all gathered In a dark looking monitoring room which was high-stakes, high-tech nerve center where criminal operations are closely overseen. Therefore atmosphere was tense and discreet, reflecting the secretive nature of its occupants.
The room is typically situated in a secure, hidden location-often underground or behind a façade of legitimacy. It was sparsely furnished with a large central table and a series of high-backed chairs. The décor was utilitarian, with dark, muted colors and minimalistic design to avoid drawing attention.
The walls were lined with multiple flat-screen monitors displaying real-time feeds from various surveillance cameras, both in public spaces and private locations of interest. These screens are meticulously organized, showing a mix of live video feeds, maps, and digital blueprints. Some rooms might also have a dedicated server rack for storing and processing data.
IIn one corner was a sophisticated communication hub equipped with encrypted phones, radio systems, and secure internet connections. This was where blaze operators exchange information and coordinate activities with field agents and other mafia members.
Additionally, a small team of operators monitored feeds and analyzed data. These individuals were usually calm under pressure, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to react immediately to emerging problems.
"Okay, alright, thank you for your time" Elijah said who was on the other end of the room while talking on a phone, "No, everything's fine, don't worry." He hung up and walked toward his Boss who monitored the cameras with the team. Elijah looked over to Arthur, who was also looking at him, and Elijah shook his head.
His Boss, who was busy with the cameras, and he finally saw Savannah on the screen, she was seen getting inside some café with one other lady by her side, for an hour they didn't came out, Blaze had gis suspicious eyes on to the surveillance camera footage, and they left the café after hour and half, "So they did leave the café" Blaze said to himself "Find more from here" he said to the guy who was monitoring the computer, searching for half an hour more they couldn't find her anywhere now, "There's nothing in there, now" sneered under his breath and walked toward Elijah when he didn't find the thing he wanted it to capture. "What did they say?" Blaze asked as soon as he saw Elijah had finished his call. "No boss, she's not there." Blaze somehow knew the answer to the question, so he moved to a different part of the room where more computers were running. "Any leads?" Blaze asked his tracking team, who were trying to locate Savannah's phone.
"Boss," the guy replied "We need some more time." Blaze glanced over at the monitor, searching for her location on a map, whispering to himself, "Faster! I don't want to be late." His mind was filled with all the negative thoughts that were making him insane, fear of losing her. All of these were giving him bad signals. He can't wait now.
He wanted to get to her as fast as possible, he couldn't bear to see her suffering. "Please be okay, Savannah" - "I'm coming" he again whispered to himself "Boss, we got it!" the guys informed their boss and he turned to the screen showing her exact location to, "I'm coming, Ana"
