Savannah's House
"Theo, be ready, we have to leave soon or else we'll be late" I called out theo, "Alright mommy", taking my car keys from the dining table, I walked towards the balcony, only to see that its door was still open. When I saw no sign of Theo, I was about to called out "Here I am!" He said coming in front of me. Wearing cargo pants and a tee, I smiled and took his hand and left.
I parked my car on one side,"I think this is it" I mostly whispered to myself, locking the car and walking a little further to our destination looking here and there because I am basically new to this surrounding, "Are you sure we are at the right place?" Theo asked, and I moved my gaze to him. "Yes, yes, of course, I know my ways," I replied, returning to my phone, walking a little.
And I finally found that apartment. Yes, we're looking for a new place. Why? Because soon we'll be kicked out if we don't move out on our own. This was a text message I received from an unknown source one day ago, so that's what we're doing this weekend. Regarding the note, I couldn't find it, it was as if God didn't want me to read that or something, so I lost all hope of getting an answer. I gave up.
Earlier, I had contacted Ana to find a decent house for us and she had suggested I go here. She informed me that a broker would be present here too, but I haven't heard anything from him. It's been 15 minutes already since I was here waiting for that person. I rang Ana's number but she didn't answer. Maybe she's busy. I just left her a message that she should call me as soon as possible.
"What do we do now?" Theo questioned me as we sat back in the car. It was too late to waste my weekend just like this, so I took my phone and started searching for available houses, because if we are here, we are not leaving without doing so, and I found some, reading all the important notes, learning about everything, "We do what we are here for" and accelerating the narrowing process.
My appointment was booked for here earlier on our way, they said they would be there, and after seeing someone standing outside that apartment, I believe she is present here indeed. Theo and I approached her "Ms. Savannah?" She said my name I responded, "Yes, that's me" after introducing ourselves, we followed her into the elevator.
Upon reaching the desired floor, she told me about all the necessary parts of the apartment, "Let me open it for you," and she opened the door to our soon to be new apartment. It was so much more spacious than my current apartment, and it was so much more appealing to me. This one is all white, yet it is spacious enough for just us two. The living room was huge like a ballroom, well, just a smaller version by the balcony, which had just as beautiful a view as the ball room itself.
We then moved into the bedroom, which was much larger than mine already, with a queen size bed in the middle and a small wooden bedside table on either side and a wardrobe to keep our clothing. I was so involved in the house that I didn't notice the presence of Theo, where did he go? "Theo?" I called him, but he didn't answer. "Theo?" I called again
As I searched for him in this house, I thought he must have run to something attracting him, and I was right here where he was in the small room full of books, just like I do, he enjoys reading, but more specifically, he enjoys reading about science. There was no doubt that he had found his favorite spot in the house.
I called out, "Theo, what are you doing here?" We were here to see the house, but we hadn't bought it or rented it, so he should know that he can't just go anywhere he likes. "Sorry mom, um, I was so excited to see all these books" he looked down, "I'm sorry Mrs. Hales" he apologized to both of us, my boy is generously sweet. "No, it's fine, little one. You didn't do anything wrong to apologize."
"So what do you think about this house?" Mrs. Hales asked after giving the home tour. "I really like it, and for the price I think it's the best deal I've found so far" I expressed my genuine opinion, "Then shall we sign some paperwork?" I nodded, "No!!!" The voice from the other end echoed in here, and we all glanced there.
We stood aside as a man in his 40s stormed towards us, "What happened Lewis?" Mrs. Hales asked him and he appeared too furious to answer. "We can't give this apartment to her." he replied, that shocked me and made me concerned.
I turned to him and said, "Sorry Ms. Miller, I apologize for the inconvenience, I hope you understand." I replied, "It's fine, we understand, and we walked out with disappointment, Theo was sadder since he really liked that house, but nvm we'll find something better.
Theo turned to me and said, "Sorry Ms. Miller, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, I hope you understand." I replied, "It's fine, we know, and we left with disappointed faces, Theo more so because he liked that house a lot, nvm, we'll find something else."

After looking at 20 houses in a short time we couldn't find a single place for us. All 20 were either taken or for no reason was given. I had lost all hope and now don't think I'll find a new place in such a short time.
"Why don't we move in with your two friends mommy" Theo suddenly questioned me about something I already knew the answer to, "We can't baby, their grandparents live with them, we cannot barge into their lives, it will inconvenience for them" he nodded, I was so exhausted I didn't have energy to do anymore searching now. I didn't hear back from Ana too, I wonder where she is. She is my last hope.
