Author's POV
Blaze is a man of his word, he stands for fearless, proud and enterprising, and he doesn't lower his standards for anyone or anything. Earlier a man came to his office for some business, no less specifically for a deal. Blaze was not the type who would get scared by blackmail, but one who would give as much in return as he gets.
Once the faucet was closed, Blaze looked in the mirror and then a knock on the door heard and the person walked into Blaze's bathroom, it was Arthur. He handed him some documents paper and stood at his place. As Blaze scanned the papers, he evilly smiled and said, "This fucker is here to threaten me." After closing the file, he handed it over to Arthur and walked out of the bathroom.
A man walked into Blaze's office unannounced, sure Blaze didn't like it one bit, "Hope I didn't make you wait long" Blaze said as he sat down on his couch "No, it's fine Blaze", this made Blaze's blood boil, and veins popped around his neck area. You call him by his name and get ready receive the blow. Blaze had one thing in his life that would not change, he doesn't like people who calls him by his name. It disgust him, makes him feel interior. "See at the Docs"
The man in his 40s stood up and walked out the office without waiting, meaning it was his order that Blaze had to follow. "I will be there," Blaze whispered to himself as he watched him walk out of his office with murderous gaze.
He stood up and walked to his desk which was on the upper level of the room, sat down and looked at the screen of his computer. Arthur had placed some more important documents on his desk. "What are these?" Blaze asked, "Some documents from your study-" Blaze cut him off "Throw them" Arthur stared at his boss for a moment, "But B-" one look from his boss made him shut, so he took the files one by one from his desk.
As soon as his eyes caught the white envelope in between the files, he called "Boss" and took it in his hand, looking at his boss. "Boss" again, but Blaze did not say anything but kept his eyes on the screen. "Boss, what should-?" cut him off. "Can't you see I'm working!" he sneered, until his eyes caught sight of the white envelope.
"Should I throw this away too?" he asked his boss again. "What is that doing here?" he asked back in response "I stacked it between the files earlier thinking you'd look for it again." Blaze took an envelope from him and looked at it. He brushed the blue ink filled area, writtten the name 'Savannah' on it, brushing his fingers on it for the last time.
In the ashtray placed on his desk, he tore that envelope into thin pieces and placed them in there. Later, he pulled out a lighter from his drawer and brought it closer to the paper and soon it was burning into ash. He burned the papers, leaving not even one piece alive, Arthur watched as he did all these things, "No trace of it should be alive" Blaze said, turning back to his computer.
"Look for apartments near by" Blaze ordered Arthur "Are we really doing this?" Arthur got confused and questioned for the assurance, Blaze kept scrolling his computer as he said "I gave her my words, I should do this much for her" Blaze then looked at Arthur. Arthur nodded understood what his Boss meant.
Baldwin's Mansion
Savannah's POV
I checked Mr. Baldwin's one final time before taking my purse and leaving the room. I saw blaze at the entrance, it seemed he had just come to the mansion, "Savannah" he called me, "Yes" I answered, as we were at quite a distance "Are you leaving?" I was just heading home at my usual time, "Yes, I was just headed home"I replied "Do you have a time?" confused, I stared at him "It's about the apartment." He responded as if he knew I was confused what is he talking about and finally he answered something I had been waiting for a week, "Did you find it?" I asked slightly widened my eyes at him, "Let's go to my study" and we walked to there.
"Have it, it's still warm" blaze said and I sipped the chamomile tea. The tea had no taste, but sure had an effect, "Tell me now" impatiently I asked. "We found one property" he replied as he handed me his iPad, it had pictures of apartments.
When I started reading, something caught my attention. "It says the location is on the west side" Blaze looked up from his file, "Yes it is" and I blinked my eyes in disbelief "So I have some plans" he replied, "Can I?" I gestured for him to explain what he was thinking, and I loved that he asked my permission before anything.
"The distance is the problem, so I have arranged a car and one of my drivers for you, who will drive you, to your house at the west and bring you to the mansion, so there will be no inconvenience during the whole trip." It is a good suggestion but not for me, I have my baby with me too I can't risk "No Blaze, that isn't convenient for me" I put the iPad back on the desk and gave it to him.
"It's fine, I'll look for a way" Now I have to go on a hunt and get a house, I have very little time left, I can't risk more time, the dog in the mansion has a better life than me here, at least he has a permanent residence for himself "You can move in the mansion if you want" suddenly he said, I was so confused about. "Do you perhaps read minds?" I questioned since he seemed to read minds a lot.
"No, I only read you" I hope I'm not pink at my cheeks, because this sentence really made me feel twinkles in my stomach, fighting that feeling I spoke "No, it will be inconvenient for you all of the people living here" He smiled before saying, "This is my house Savannah, who lives here is my business not there." He is right, though.
But the thought of that guy from my second day here is still inside my head, I still get chills whenever I remember that "He don't work here anymore, feel free to move in whenever you like." He also added, "The door to the mansion is always open for you."
