Lovise Holst-Mathiasen

"I will finally be able to talk, to be heard, to have people actually listening to me, to have a short or a long-time friend, depending if we survive the game. And even if I die in the first day, I will be genuinely grateful that I had these 14 days prior to the game, to feel like a normal girl for the first time in my entire life."

"To not be reminded 24/7 that I'm cursed, that I'm a Mathiasen, that the future of 100.000 people lies on my back, because none of you are counting on me, none of you are cheering for me, and this is… fuck it's freeing, it's something I've never felt. I really do hope you all vote for the hot Haynes boy to win and focus this responsibility on his wide shoulders and not on mine, because I'm tired of carrying it since I was old enough to understand what responsibility meant. And if my intuition is wrong for the first time and I die on the games, I'll die happily, knowing that I was able to live as Lovise Holst-Mathiasen, even if just for two weeks and a bit."

"Judge all you want, Severin, I own you nothing, you don't live in area 27, even if your bloodline is from there, you're from area 0, you know nothing of how it's like to be on my own skin, and that's good, I don't wish this to anyone, not even the Haynes, especially because I know those pretty spoiled bastards would never be able to handle it," I mocked. "Now it's my time to shine, yeah? It's my time to be a tribute, if I die or not. If you want to judge me, alright, do it, you have free will, but do it with a reason. This is might be my only chance to flirt, to play, to kiss, to get physical, to make friends that light last or not, to be myself."

"No, I'm not victimizing myself, before anyone brings this topic in this whole circus," I said, staring straight at the cameras. "Many may want to think that way, since you were probably expecting me to come here, make a circus, confront Dominic Haynes for being the son of who took mom's life, or related to those who came before him in his bloodline, just to die at his huge and attractive hands when the game begins, and,"

"You have a crush on him or something," Jose growled pouting.

That totally broke the mood and I laughed, "What?"

"You keep calling him handsome, pretty, gorgeous, tall, describing his physical features as if he was so bloody attractive, and you wanted to jump on him just to know how it would feel like kissing his lips," he said it all too fast, making the others laugh. "You want him or something?"

"No, Jose," I chuckled, "I don't want him, but he is hot, you know."

"Sure, he is, he's absurdly bloody pretty, and the most perfect male ever created by the Gods, but you don't need to keep reminding me, Love."

I laid back, holding my flat belly that hurt with my burst of laughter, and he stared at me, pretending to be offended, until I cooled down. I know he's doing this to make me laugh, and stop being self-deprecating, because he definitely noticed how Severin's bitter words triggered me. "Don't worry much, puppy, you're the prettiest to me."

"Liar," he pouted.

"I doubt he kisses as well as you do. You're older, experienced."

To that he blushed, "Yeah? Tell me about it."

"Oh, no, no, please, Gods, no," Timmy and Severin cried.

"I give them a week to go down," Ruby mocked.

"A week?" Ari chuckled, "I give them a day."

"I'm stronger than I look," I scoffed.

"I'm more persuasive than you can imagine," Jose purred.

"You only kissed me because I made the move, puppy, you're not persuasive at all. And I know better," I mocked.

"Knows-it-all," he rolled his eyes.

"Knows-it-nothing," I countered.

"That ain't a thing," he gasped.

"Yeah? Well, I just made it a thing, knows-it-nothing," I scoffed.

"Can you believe he was initially hating on her?" Timmy told the others, as if we weren't here.

"Jose was hating on her?" Ruby chuckled. "I can't imagine it."

"Neither can I, after seeing them like this," Ari joined.

"What changed?" Severin scoffed.

"Her kiss," Timmy gossiped. "She tamed him with just one."

"I am not tamed," he scowled. "I'm a lone alpha wolf, untamable."

I burst out laughing again, "Oh, puppy, you're so funny."

"Keep laughing at my jokes, and you'll be in my bed in no time."

That only made me laugh more, "Cute."

"Hey, I'm not cute, I'm hot," he growled.

"No, Haynes is hot, your cute and funny."

"Oh, don't give me that," he gave me his middle finger.

"I prefer cute and funny over hot. I'm the hot one, yeah?" I winked and just like that, he gave me a full-teeth pretty smile.

"Okay, I accept cute and funny then. I'll let you be the hot one."

"No need for permission, puppy, I just am," I set him a flying kiss.

"How have you never flirt with anyone?" Ari cried. "You're better than me, and I've dated like, six times. Just how?"

"I'm a natural, baby girl," I winked at her. "A born prodigy."

"Careful, Ari," Timmy warned, "she swings both ways."

"She does?" Both Ari and Ruby asked.

"I do," I chanted.

"Of course, she does," Severin mocked.

"Hey, asshole, what does that mean?" I growled at him.

"It means, you have to get back to telling us the story," Timmy said.

I clicked my tongue, "It's getting hard being the only brain cell in our unit, my darlings," I said and dramatically pressed the back of my right hand on my forehead. "But to carry the powerful legacy of the Mathiasen, of being the smartest around, I'll accept the weight of spreading my wisdom with you lowly human beings. Ah, how disgraceful. Ah, how awful it is to carry more intelligence than all humanity together."

"Ah, how bad it is to have as much ego as beauty," Jose mimicked.

"It's actually not bad at all," I said with a smug.

"Oh, I know, I was talking about me," he countered.

"Ha, ha, ha, you're so funny."

"So you've been claiming, Love," he purred and I laughed.

"Story time, please, Love," Timmy begged.

"Alright, alright, baby boy," I laid down on my belly, legs up, head on my hand, and weighting them on my elbows. "Back to what I was saying, in the 63rd game, the Haynes were hungry to win back their power..."
