As soon as they left, the girls burst out laughing, "Oh, my, that's new."

Rubylyn nodded to her, "Cian has been boasting that nothing would take him off of his peace, and that dealing with the three blacks would be child's play, but look at him. You pissed him like nobody else."

"Really?" I beamed.

"Yes, now," Arina passed her left arm around my right, as her right was intertwined to Timmy's. "Let's get out of here, because I do not want to deal with the other mentors, if you think it's bad for you, it's bad for us too, even if, like you said, we were not raised in your areas, nothing can wipe away out bloodline's origins."

"Okay, I'll be good to you," I said agreeably.

"Did you dislike redhead from the get to go?" Jose scoffed.

"I did," I cringed. "Something about him is off, I don't like it, it gives me the bad kind of chills."

"If say so," Timmy squeaked, "I won't be the one to doubt."

Then Jose turned to Rubylyn, "Love has some crazy intuition."

"It's her superpower, she just knows what'll happen," Timmy said.

"It sounds cooler when they put it that way," I brushed it aside.

"You can see the future?" Arina asked, lowering her voice.

I chuckled, "No. Not like that. I mean, not necessarily. Maybe you could say my dreams are some kind of future visions, or just that even in my dreams my intuition takes hold of my unconsciousness. At 10 years old, I began dreaming with the day I would be chosen for the games, I thought it would be me, 7 years ago, but then Mallory picked my mom, and I just knew it would be me now. I've been preparing myself for this ever since. But even then, there were only me and mom missing to play this."

"Oh, so that's why you counted the second until the tear of Mallory picked you," Rubylyn– well, I'll call her Ruby for short–, Ruby pointed.

"I knew it would be me, but I just followed my intuition for when it would actually happen," I rolled my shoulders. "And I counted our loud for the show. My brother and my mom went angry and didn't make any kind of drama about it, aside from the revenge thing. I have always been quite the lover of some drama and intensity, so, I wanted everyone to feel my part in the games. I'll take all I can get."

"So, it's more brain than… supernatural thing?" Arina asked.

A nod, "In my view of myself, yes. I am very smart, a strategist if you may, and my memory is photographic. I've studied the old maps that I inherited from my ancestors about the architecture of the current design of the bullet train," I pointed at it, "of Area 0, and also I studied the design of the past 15 games, all that I could get my hands on clandestinely, after all, my clan is one of the most important in Mallorian, like it or not, we are the only ones who ever sat in the seat of the head of Area 1, aside from Haynes."

"History is there to be reminded, so those who study it won't repeat the same mistakes from our ancestors. But little people nowadays care about the history of our past, all they want is to judge, and judge, the present, what they see now, without minding going after the reasons why shit are like they are now," I played with my braids.

"What history are you talking about?" Timmy asked, curious.

"Greta made a huge library with all the books on the history of our clan, of the things the Mathiasen had collaborated for Mallorian, all they did in all the phases of the games, as together with the Haynes, we are the only ones who have always been part of the games, from the 1st one to this, the 100th, and compared to how many of my people lived, those who died make the smallest part of the list. And history overall, even from the old world, so, I studied it all, and trained myself on it."

"Let's talk about this in the dorm, there are too many ears here."

We all nodded to Ruby and followed her as she led us through many sets of stairs, before getting us in a crystal elevator that took us from the 15 to the 30th floor of the large skyscraper we are in, and when I looked up, I found cameras watching. So, I smiled flirty at it and winked, before turning my eyes back to the doors.

When it opened up, we were face with a dizzily long hallways, so long it was hard to see the end of it, and there were six doors, from first to last, they were red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and at the very end of the hallway, the black door. There was nobody in here yet, so, we walked past all of those and Ruby took off three card keys for it and handed each to one of us, then she pushed Jose to open it and he did it.

As we walked in, a surprisingly fancy loft place waiting for us, with a big couch, a open kitchen, a living room at the side, three huge King beds one at each extremity of the loft, right, left, west; with many pillows in each, and a huge door that I think takes to the bathroom. At the east of the loft, there was a balcony with two hanging chairs and towering view to area 0.

I think I only snapped out of my daze when the door clicked locked.

"Fuck," I gasped, staring at all the luxurious furniture, "fuck."

"This is insane," Timmy cried, staring up, "there are 8 cameras."

"Not 8," I corrected him automatically, "but 18, 10 are hidden."

"How do you know that? This was a new project finished 2 years ago," Ruby gasped, eyes wide and on me, taking off her shoes and we all did the same, before walking inside, matter of manners.

I rolled my shoulders, "I just know." I dreamed of being locked in a rectangular place with eighteen eyes on me, I guess it was about this. "It would fit 20 people in this place, comfortably," I scoffed. "What a display of wealth. Some have so much, while we don't," I walked to the west big bed and sat over it. "It'll take this for myself," then I side-eyed Jose flirty, "though I would be open to sharing with you."

He gasped, "You are such a player."

"No wonder Mallory picked me for this game," I winked.

"Ugh," Timmy cried, taking the bed at the right as Jose picked the one at the left. "I'm doomed with those two. I never thought I would be third-wheeling in the Grim Games of all places."

"The games haven't started yet," I giggled. "It'll start in 2 weeks."

"What?" Ruby and Arina frowned.
