Jasmine placed her scythe on the floor, leaning in to rest on its pole. Behind her, Marcus stood at alert, his eyes focused on Amall.
Amall felt his face twitching, he never expected that this is what the situation would turn into. He chuckled nervously,
"What do you mean you are waiting? Do you even have any idea who I'm waiting for?" he asked, his eyes glancing around.
Do they know? Is there a commander around? Amall wondered. He felt a cold shiver run down his spine at the thought that he was currently defenselessly standing before a commander.
"You must know very little about the army, which is strange seeing as you know about the time limit." Marcus began. He knew that his thoughts are most likely in sync with Jasmine's and she would speak up if he left anything out.
"What do you mean?" Amall feigned ignorance but Jasmine didn't even pay him any mind. So did Marcus, instead, he continued speaking,
