Stella's mind raced as she tried to process the man's sudden appearance with the ancient dagger. The man, older but undeniably strong, stared at her with intensity.
"You're awake," the man said, his voice gruff. "So, will you tell me what you're doing here and who sent you?"
Stella glared at him, refusing to speak. She knew better than to give away anything to this stranger, especially when she didn't fully understand his intentions.
"Your silence will not help you at all," he said, moving toward an electric box. He plugged it in, causing sparks to fly. Without warning, he pressed it against her side, sending a painful jolt through her body. Stella screamed in pain, but she refused to cry out for mercy.
"Will you talk now? Who are you, and who sent you?" the man demanded again, his patience wearing thin.
