As Charles and his men left the building, they encountered the detectives stationed in the van just outside, keeping watch on Stella's apartment. Without hesitation, Charles ordered his men to attack. In a matter of seconds, the air was filled with the sound of gunfire, and the detectives were ruthlessly gunned down. Their bodies slumped lifelessly in the van, the metallic scent of blood mixing with the crisp night air.
Stella arrived just moments later. As she approached the apartment building, she was met with a horrifying sight: her home was engulfed in flames, a massive explosion having torn through it moments before. Her heart pounded in her chest, fear and dread coursing through her veins. She raced toward the building, desperate to find her daughter.
"Emma!" Stella screamed as she burst into the smoldering apartment. Smoke filled her lungs, and the heat was unbearable, but she pushed through, her desperation giving her strength.
