Chereads / The Tower's Villain Returns / Chapter 5 - Tutorial 4

Chapter 5 - Tutorial 4

[Phase Two of the tutorial is beginning. You will be matched with 3 other members to form a squad to raid a goblin camp.]

[Before Phase Two begins, you will receive a list of selectable classes. These classes were based on how you fought during phase one.]

Calculating...

...

...

...

"Isn't this a bit long?"

...

...

...

...

A minute passed..

And then suddenly, a massive list appeared in front of me.

[Apprentice Warrior/Warrior/Berserker/Squire/Knight/Apprentice Magician/Magician/Apprentice Elemental Mage/Elemental Mage / Apprentice Spearman/ Spearman /Javelin Thrower/Brawler/Assassin/Hitman.........]

Dozens of classes appeared before me.

Naturally, I had no interest in picking the majority of them.

Not all classes were made equal, sad as that may be for some players.

If an apprentice magician were to fight a grand magician of the same level a hundred times, they would lose all one hundred times.

There were some filters and sorting options for the list, and I decided to sort from lowest rarity to highest rarity.

I saw several notable classes.

As I slowly scrolled through the massive list of common and uncommon classes, I made it to the rare classes shining blue.

Still, I was uninterested.

The purple sheen of epic classes attracted me.

Upon reading their description, the obtainment method was described as well as the style of the class.

[Dragon Knight - Epic Class]

Available after defeating any draconic type monster.

A swordsman bearing the aura of a dragon.

[Weapons Master - Epic Class]

Show great proficiency in a variety of weapons.

A master of all weapons, able to learn sword, magic, spear, or practically any other weapon with ease.

[Elemental Sorcerer - Epic Class]

Use elemental magic to defeat a powerful foe.

Make use of the elements to incinerate, drown, freeze, crush and blast foes.

[Beast - Epic Class]

Fight with the heartbeat of a beast.

Fight like a beast, following an inhuman martial path.

A few more epic classes passed by me.

A few of them seemed to be attractive choices.

But once I reached the end...

2 Classes shone with the golden glow that signified a legendary.

[Prodigy - Legendary Class]

Clear 7 stages of the tutorial with great proficiency.

Many rivers converge into the ocean. A true jack of all trades who can learn practically anything.

[Dragon Fist - Legendary Class]

Beat all 7 stages of the tutorial, and finish the wyvern with a punch.

Your fists contain the roar of a dragon, your heart contains the rage of a dragon, your ego is the pride of a dragon.

This was the type of thing I had wanted.

The absurd amount of work I had put in to get a legendary class in my last life.... just to obtain it like this.

Frankly, I was already so powerful as a newbie it was absurd.

An aura, a sigil, a legendary equipment, and now a legendary class.

But the question was if I wanted to be a prodigy or a dragon fist.

'To learn anything is nice.... But I don't really want that.'

Throughout my time in the tower, I realized that those who reached the apex were the ones who took one road and followed it with absolute resolve.

And my road was the fist.

'The Dragon Fist....'

It sounded like something tailor made for me.

[Class Selected]

[Phase Two beginning]

I had been summoned alongside 3 people to a jungle, with an arrow pointing to a goblin camp.

They all seemed to be in a dazed state.

It was pretty natural that they were confused.

"W-wait, so it was the same for you guys!?"

A European girl wearing a high schooler's uniform spoke with a fearful tone.

She was obviously not an adult, and so it was impressive that she had made it past the tutorial since most children would be completely unable to handle the violence that the tutorial forced.

"Err.... yeah... Did you have to kill those monsters as well?"

Another party member, who seemed to be a European adult replied to her.

He looked to be an average salaryman, wearing a typical white collar uniform and sunken green eyes from being overworked. His blonde hair had strands of gray.

"Y-y-yeah... It was... horrible..."

She gave a nervous nod and seemed as if she would vomit from remembering what had happened.

"Man that was fucked up..."

Our third member spoke up, an African American male with an athletic build.

All three of them seemed to be in fear, but the high schooler was clearly the one who was in the worst state.

The athletic man spoke up.

"Well, y'all heard what that screen thing told us right? We have to go fuck up one of those monster camps.... So I guess we should.. introduce ourselves? My name is Andre."

"....My name is Leo. I was a salaryman before this... thing.... my class is apprentice archer, I used to do archery when I was younger. According to this screen, it's an common class."

The European man, Leo, had a bow strung across his back.

"Ah, yea I got the berserker class... I think it was because I went a little crazy back there. It's uncommon."

It seemed Andre was trying to lighten the tension in the air.

"Uh... My n-name is Amelia... I received the healer class.. it's rare. I took the mage staff in the first part and used m-magic to blast some of the monsters."

I was slightly surprised someone managed to obtain a rare class already.

But anyway, I was mostly unconcerned about being healed, her abilities would be useless to me considering that I was already far above the pay-grade of the tutorial.

The three then turned to look at me.

"So, what's with you, man? You already got a full set of armor, and what's with those gloves?"

Andre asked me a few questions, it was probably because I hadn't spoken this entire time.

"My name is Zeon.... I received the Dragon Fist class. It's legendary. I'll keep it short but, I'm much stronger than all of you, just allow me to handle everything."

I planned to speedrun the second phase.

There were a few secrets to be found in this jungle, but none were notable enough anymore considering the quality of my equipment.

At best, there were some opportunities to receive epic rank weapons, which were no longer of any interest to me.

My firm tone made the three in front of me seem nervous.

Honestly, I would have killed all of them and finished the second phase alone if it didn't take away from my total points for losing teammates.

But anyway, as long as they cooperated well enough things would flow easily.
