Chapter 6 - Tutorial 5

"..."

"...This is ridiculous"

I exclaimed upon seeing the monstrous sight before me.

Leo nodded his head in agreement.

Amelia simply stood in shock.

All I could think about was that that Zeon guy was inhuman.

Every monster he punched exploded in a single hit.

The poor goblins started running from him at one point.

I felt a bit of pity for them, even if they were my enemy.

Honestly, I thought that I would be of more use, I was familiar with fighting, and my berserker class seemed quite strong.

Maybe my current perspective is a bit lopsided.

There's no way there can be more monstrously strong individuals like that guy.

I could understand why his class was called dragon fist.

Every time he punched, a purple dragon formed over his fist, massively harming his opponent.

His movements were so fast that I struggled to even comprehend them.

He seemed completely unaffected by injuries, I saw him get stabbed and slashed, yet after a few moments they were completely gone.

After a short period, the entire entrance area of the goblin camp was covered in corpses.

Calling it a camp seemed to be an understatement, as it was closer to a village.

But I doubted it would matter anyway.

This guy would just tear through them.

"There's some loot here. If you want it, you can have it."

I flinched a little, despite the lack of any malice in his voice.

I nodded my head and equipped some of the basic armor dropped by the goblins.

"Uhm... do you not want it, sir?"

The healer girl, Amelia, asked Zeon with uncertainty.

"What I'm wearing right now is better, take it, or don't take it, just make sure to follow me so that you don't die."

I felt relief knowing that he at the very least wanted to protect us.

But part of me wondered if he was only doing it because the system warned that the death of teammates would cause a point deduction.

'Who am I kidding, that's definitely the case.'

"So... ehem... do you want us to do anything? I know you're a lot stronger than us but... I don't want to be a burden."

Leo asked, making me raise my eyebrows.

He was braver than I expected for a white collar office worker.

"It really doesn't matter to me either way, but if you want to help just support from behind me, like I said, you can't die."

"Right, of course."

Leo nodded his head, with a slightly alleviated sense of tension.

---------

Honestly, I was beyond terrified of the entire situation.

It was something straight out of those comics my brother used to read.

I was unsure of how I had even made it this far.

I would consider myself lucky since I, at least in my opinion, was pretty good at magic.

Without that, I would never have defeated those... goblin things.

Still, I did not feel lucky at all. Why did I have to get summoned to such a wretched place?

When I was on the cusp of graduating high school and entering university

It was best to not think of such things.

And so, I refocused on what was happening around me.

Another goblin was smashed apart.

Their lanky green bodies and beady yellow eyes were a disgusting sight for me.

But what I was seeing now was infinitely worse.

That guy, Zeon, bearing a name I found to be odd, was obliterating all monsters without pause.

'Was he special forces or something? Or maybe a champion martial artist?'

Such thoughts came to my head, yet upon seeing the brutality in his style, those ideas were dispelled.

'He was probably a criminal of some sort... A violent one at that.'

I shook my head to try and ignore the idea.

Even ignoring the monster situation, I was wholly dependent on 3 adult men who were complete strangers.

Luckily, they all seemed like nice people., well, Leo and Andre seemed like nice people.

They were probably as scared as me, just hiding it better.

I didn't really like the fact that my fate was in the hands of 'Zeon' but regardless, it was best not to harbor bad thoughts about him.

His extreme violence was concerning, but it was the best thing she could ask for in such a situation.

I remembered how my brother used to complain about having to 'carry' his teammates in online games he played.

I was experiencing the feeling of being carried by an overpowered player right now.

Still, I was not dumb enough to stand still in fear.

Killing mobs give experience.

Experience gives levels.

Levels give strength.

And it seems the life I would be living from now on would be decided by that one thing, strength.

"Divine bolt!"

Despite being a healer, I had some basic attack spells.

A small golden rod shot from my staff and hit a goblin square in the head.

I closed my eyes after I saw the attack hit the goblin.

Its blood splattered onto me and I let out a scream.

"Ah, are you alright Amelia? Look, if it's too much, just sit back and let that guy handle everything."

Leo suggested kindly, and he may have been correct.

Zeon had cleared out the remaining enemies.

The goblin shamans were dead.

The guard goblins were also dead.

The several other strange goblins had been dismantled as well.

The last thing to take care of was a large hut.

Even for someone like me, mostly unfamiliar with games, I knew that would be the boss room.

"Alright, this place is actually dangerous. You guys should stay back from now on."

-------------------------

The three of my party mates listened well to me.

It was probably because they were a little scared of me.

I was currently drenched in the blood of goblins.

Really, it's such a dirty feeling.

Anyway, I entered the boss room.

The boss was a goblin chief.

In my past life, my party and I struggled immensely, with 2 of us dying, to defeat this guy.

But now, he was just free experience points.
