"Master seems your schedule today is you have a class to attend," Assistant Beom Seok said to the cold but handsome man sitting in his office chair who just finished making a call from the office landline phone.
He turned his swivel chair to the right and stood up stylishly, looking young, handsome, and hot.
Assistant Beom Seok chuckled lightly at his boss who walked to him and smirked.
"Anyone who sees you will never believe you're so old living over 400 years now. Haha, this is something I would never believe that I'm working with an old demon who looks so young and never aged," Assistant Beom Seok said, laughing but shut up when his boss shot him a hard glare.
"You spat out gibberish too much, I don't know why I am still keeping you for years when I can just claim your soul and feed your body to the sea fish," the demon said sarcastically, causing Assistant Beom Seok to widen his mouth in shock but closed it again and pouted his lips acutely.
"Yahh, why are you so mean? Huh, I'm not just your assistant but the loyal and trusted butler you could ever have, huh? At least say something nice to me. You shouldn't be as cold as ice always," Assistant Beom Seok said. His boss smirked and walked away, leaving him with his mouth open wide in the air. He closed his mouth and shook his head;
"What a cold, mean old man," he muttered under his breath but the demon's yell from the door flinched him back;
"I heard you, Mr. Beom Seok, do you wish to say that out loud again?" the demon said from the door.
"No boss, I was just admiring your cold, mean young face even though you're older than my great grandfather," Assistant Beom Seok said, but the demon had already left.
"Phew," the assistant let out a sigh and huff while he resumed back to his work.
POV
Assistant Beom Seok had been working for the demon for 10 years as the demon butler before also becoming his assistant, carrying out some office work for the demon. It was so easy for Beom Seok when he started working for the demon, but with time, they got along, and the demon considered him his butler but also his human friend.
Beom Seok was a naturally gifted human who had dreamed about the future where he had dreamt about the demon coming to him and offering a helping hand when he needed money to pay for his heart disease surgery. In the dream, the demon told him that before he could help, he would have to make a deal to claim his soul after fifteen years if he helped him, which Beom Seok accepted and died after fifteen years of living a peaceful life.
Beom Seok woke up in real life sweating and panicking, finding himself in the hospital after waking up from his dream. The doctor told him he was brought to the hospital by his friend and that he needed surgery for his heart disease. Beom Seok was scared and just nodded his head, getting his prescription and instructions from the doctor.
Beom Seok left with a heavy heart, scared about his dream coming true but decided not to make a deal with the demon who came for him and offered help, which he denied and glared at. This surprised the demon, as no human had ever behaved like this towards him.
"I'm trying to help you here, you crazy man," the demon said coldly, but Beom Seok sneered back.
"I know you are a demon and here to lure me to claim my soul, which I will never accept. I would rather die with my sickness than take your hand for help," Beom Seok said coldly, surprising the demon. The demon scoffed at his response.
"Good that you know. But come to think of it, your illness won't go away, but you will be rich and powerful for fifteen years. Isn't that enough for what you humans want and crave? Most humans would have accepted this offer greedily without caring about the consequences," the demon said, trying to convince Beom Seok.
"No, I don't want that. I have so much to do in this life rather than leaving soon just for fifteen years. What's the difference between dying in fifteen years of being rich and powerful with no illness and dying with my illness which could be cured and living for fifteen years, even if always on medication? Go away demon, I don't want to talk to you," Beom Seok said irritably and tiredly.
The demon watched Beom Seok and chuckled.
"Wow, I'm surprised that there is still a human who is wiser than a demon. By the way, how did you know I'm a demon? Did you see this coming your way before? Like expecting me?" the demon asked Beom Seok.
"I saw you in my dream and saw everything that would happen to me in fifteen years after you offered an exchange for my soul," Beom Seok said softly.
"Mmm, you have such a great gift. How about you work for me, and I will pay you monthly as just my worker? Will you be my butler? Maybe having an extraordinary human being working with me would be great," the demon offered.
Beom Seok scoffed, "Do you expect me to trust a demon like you? So you could take my soul, right?" Beom Seok said irritably.
The demon smirked, "I'm not a coward and insignificant like you humans. I can only take people's souls after signing a deal with me, just like a contract for only fifteen years. But you are not signing a deal with me, nor am I helping you. I want you to work for me as my butler because some crazy humans have been suspicious of me, which I don't want. After all, I don't seek attention," the demon said.
"So you mean you will be my boss while I work as your butler? I will think about it," Beom Seok said, walking away, leaving the demon behind.
Beom Seok thought about it for a week before agreeing to work for the demon as his butler. The demon paid him in advance for Beom Seok to perform his surgery, and the surgery went well. This is how the mere human Beom Seok becomes closer friends with the demon, working as his butler for ten years, and now also his assistant since the demon established the creative industry, while Beom Seok was an assistant who helped handle some of his work. The demon also started to be a lecturer five months ago, becoming popular as the CEO of Y-Joon Creative Industry, where they publish books and magazines and have signed artists that perform arts. His company became the top creative industry in Seoul and he was invited to teach literature and history at one of the best universities, known for his expertise in history.

"Ms. Yoon Ah, old Madam Yeon Hee has sent me to you," a man in a neat office suit whispered, bowing slightly to the young beautiful lady in a board meeting with her executive teams. She is a young heiress and the CEO of L Group Company.
The young CEO nodded to the man, her cold eyes focused on the director speaking in front of the large screen.
"With all the information at hand, I hope we can resolve the issue today and get back on our feet," the young CEO said with the gravitas befitting a leader. She rose from her seat and exited the board meeting, her assistant trailing behind.
"Did you check into what I asked you to?" Lee Yoon Ah asked, stretching her hand to her assistant without looking in her direction, and the assistant collected the file from her.
"Yes, Ms. Yoon, I have sent the information to your mailbox. You should check it," the assistant said softly, following her quietly.
"You should take off. I don't know why that stubborn old woman wants to see me. I hope she won't piss me off today," Yoon Ah said to her assistant, who nodded and chuckled while she collected her keys and walked to her car.
The assistant smiled, bowed slightly, and Lee Yoon Ah hopped into the car and ignited the engine.
"I'll call you when I need you," Yoon Ah said from the car to her assistant, who nodded her head respectively as she drove speedily and stopped right in front of her grandma's mansion.
Yoon Ah alighted from the car as the bodyguards stationed at the house greeted her with a bow, but she simply walked past them and entered the house. She encountered one of the maids who informed her that the elderly lady was waiting for her in the study.
Yoon Ah entered the study and greeted her grandmother with a small nod and a forced smile;
"Grandma, why did you ask to see me? I was in a board meeting when you sent someone to fetch me," she said, taking her seat.
"Why didn't you call me after we talked about the blind date last week? You're 25, and time is passing," the old lady said with a faint frown.
Yoon Ah huffed and rolled her eyes. "You can't be serious about calling me just for this again," she said with a frown.
"What else would I call you for, you little troublemaker," the old lady retorted, glaring at her granddaughter, who was also frowning.
"Grandma, there are a lot of issues in the company that I need to address. Our sales are dropping, and it's affecting the company's reputation. I don't have time for blind dates, and I'm still young to be thinking about marriage," Yoon Ah explained, rolling her eyes.
"You... do you... you're not too young, but you're not getting any younger. You need to find a man to settle down with," the old lady insisted.
"Grandma, I'm truly exhausted. Please don't worry. When the time comes for me to get married, I will choose my partner, not go on a silly blind date," Yoon Ah replied with a smile, standing up from her seat. She walked over to her grandmother's seat, kissed her cheek, and quickly left.
As she walked out, she could hear her grandmother's voice getting louder as she scolded;
"Yahh…How dare you say 'when the time comes'..." Yoon Ah shook her head and chuckled as she left the house and got into her car to drive home and rest.
