"No one can save you from me, only when you do what I asked you to do, Mr. Kim. It's a fair deal, you know? You do what I want, and I will release your son." The man sat and crossed his legs on the couch while one of the bodyguards standing held the cell phone to the man's ear.
The man smirked and nodded while still on the phone talking to the man he called Mr. Kim.
"Very good. Now you're talking. I will send a few of my men to bring your son to you and make sure you do what you promised, or else you want to lose your son. I know you don't want that, right, Mr. Kim?" the man in the suit said.
"No, please don't hurt my son. I promise I'll do whatever you ask me, just don't hurt my son, please," the man on the other end of the phone said, fear clearly stated in his voice.
"Okay then. I will hang up now while you prepare the paperwork and the package, my men will come to get it and you will get your son," the man sitting and crossing his legs said, a smirk forming on his lips, while one of the bodyguards who was holding the phone pulled it away from his ear and bowed slightly to him.
"You all should leave, I need to relax, and one of you should assign a few men to go to Mr. Kim and take his son to him but only after he has done all I have asked him to do. Call me when you get there," the man said to his men, while they bowed and left as he signaled them to leave quickly.
He closed his eyes, rested his head on the couch, then felt someone present. He opened his eyes and met the face of a handsome demon who smirked at him. He quickly jumped from his seat and took a few steps back.
"How did you get in here?" the man stammered with a sheen of sweat on his forehead.
The demon smirked and tucked his hands into his pockets.
"You shouldn't bother to ask that, because you will have no time to digest the answers. Long time, don't you remember what today is?" the demon said, a slight smile forming on his lips.
The man shook his head and opened his mouth to speak, but closed it when he saw an ancient book appear in the demon's hand from the air.
"Maybe you forgot or are too stubborn to tell what today is. Let me remind you then. Today is your expiration date of living, like the deal you made with me fifteen years ago," the demon said softly while playing with the book in his hand.
"What did you say? Fifteen years so soon? No, please don't take my soul, please give me more years to live," the man said, already sweating and pleading with the cold demon who had come to claim the man's soul as per their deal fifteen years ago.
The demon chuckled, and then his face changed to cold as ice, looking terrifying.
"Time flies and today is your day. There is no chance or more to live as we agreed. You don't have to be insignificant, you have to keep your promise. Since you have enjoyed so much wealth and power, you shouldn't be scared to die," the demon said coldly.
"No, you can't do this to me. You can't," the man said, stepping backward to run out, but the door was shut and locked.
The man looked back at the demon fearfully. The demon smirked and stepped forward while the man yelled.
"Don't come closer! Help!" the man yelled and screamed, hitting the door with his fist, but the wall was soundproof, so no one would hear his screams.
"No one can save you, human. Humans are always insignificant, never keep their word, greedy, and selfish. I hate it," the demon said coldly, irritation clearly in his tone.
The man couldn't finish his words before the demon made him fall to his knees, finding it difficult to speak as he held his neck like he was choking until he stopped breathing. He died.
The cold demon walked and disappeared into thin air.

"Welcome back. Demon's mother had asked to tell you she wants to see you," Beom Seok said to the demon, who was drinking his coffee from the ancient cup.
The demon scoffed.
"That old woman again," the demon said annoyingly with a soft, low tone.
Beom Seok chuckled and mumbled, "The old man causing trouble for his fellow old friend," causing the demon to give him a deadly glare.
"Say that loud again," the demon said, with a slight frown while Beom Seok widened his eyes in surprise.
"Did you hear that?" Beom Seok asked, his eyes widened.
"You're so dumb," the demon said, making Beom Seok chuckle.
"Sorry, I forgot you're not human. You're a demon who can hear even a whisper. Sometimes you act human, making me forget you're still a demon. Haha," Beom Seok said, laughing, but he shot a deadly glare, causing him to shut his mouth and make a gesture of zipping his mouth in surrender.
The demon drank the remaining coffee in the cup, stood from his seat, and turned to leave.

"I got your message, you have sent for me to see you?" The demon said to the middle-aged woman who was sitting on the couch and reading a book with her glasses on.
The woman, the demon mother, is the most powerful and has lived for thousands of years. She is also the handsome demon granny, who gave birth to the handsome demon's father.
The demon mother dropped the book she was reading and turned to face her grandson, who was standing with an unreadable expression, a straight face.
"Mmm, I have called you to inform you that something is coming for you that you need to be careful of, or you might end up like your father," the demon mother said, as she read the planner of her grandson, seeing a hand of an unknown entity that was going to take part in or occur in her grandson's life, which led her to call him to see her so she could talk to him about it.
"What's about to occur that would put me in trouble?" the handsome demon said, his voice soft yet cold.
"I don't know yet, but it seems like something that took part in the past life is going to take part and will put you in trouble. I haven't figured out what it is yet. Just be careful because from what I have seen, it's near and about to happen," the demon mother said softly, a hint of warning clear in her tone.
"Okay, demon mother," the handsome demon said, even though he was a bit confused about what was about to happen. He believed he could handle it because there was always something coming his way that he never handled peacefully.
"You can have your book back, keep it with you," the demon said, stretching the big book to the demon who collected it and nodded his head slightly.
"Sure, demon mother, I'm off," the demon stated before leaving the grand mansion, teleporting away, and blending into the hustle and bustle of the crowded street. While making his way through the crowd, someone accidentally knocked into him, causing a large book to drop.
He turned to retrieve the book but couldn't immediately locate it due to the dense crowd. Eventually, he managed to pick it up, but to his surprise, the book was no longer on the ground; it seemed as though someone else had taken it.
This left him feeling shocked and enraged, pondering who would dare to take his book. Fuming, he pushed through the crowd and teleported away without being noticed. He had initially assumed he could use his powers to get his book back, so he didn't bother spending more time searching through the crowd, knowing that someone else had already taken it.
Upon reaching his office, he found Beom Seok tidying up the table and various items. He greeted his superior but received only a cold, unresponsive stare in return.
The demon completely ignored Beom Seok, who looked at him with a puzzled expression.
He went to his desk chair and attempted to use magic to retrieve the book and discover its possessor. Nevertheless, his magic failed to work. Despite trying multiple times, he couldn't succeed.
"What's happening?" The demon muttered to himself. Despite repeated attempts, he was unable to use his power on the lost book.
"Something isn't right. Could this be the problem that demon mother was talking about?" The demon pondered to himself.
His power couldn't recover the book, and he couldn't pinpoint its location. The demon decided to seek assistance from his mother and teleported to her office, where she was enjoying coffee and conversing with a middle-aged man.
He teleported to her and walked up to her.
"Demon mother, I misplaced the book while walking through the crowded street. Someone bumped into me, and the book slipped. Before I could grab it, it vanished. I attempted to use my power to retrieve it or track the person, but my power failed. I feel like something is amiss," the demon informed his mother, who simply replied;
"You'll need to track the book. Return tomorrow, and by then I will find a way for you to locate the book and identify who took it," the demon mother said, as the stern, handsome demon nodded in agreement.
"Alright, demon mother. I'll return tomorrow," the demon said, feeling frustrated and angry. It was the first time he felt so powerless and realized his powers were of no use. How could something so seemingly simple stump his powers?
"Who might the person who took the book be?" He wondered to himself.
