Name: Edart Zanuy
Age: 19
Race: Human (???????)
Level: 2
Height: 165cm
Weight: 70 kg
Life: 10/17
Mana: 13/16
Stamina: 4/7
— "This is like a game! I have skills, attributes, jobs, titles…".
— "That rabbit, even though it was weak, took 7 life points. If he hit me two more times, I would perish. I think I'm the weak one."
Edart noticed that next to the name of his race there were several question marks, but no matter how much he tried to think what that could be, he couldn't come to a conclusion, so he moved on.
When looking at his attribute points, he became depressed.
Attributes
Free Attribute Points: 2
Vitality (VIT): 4
Strength (STR): 2
Endurance (END): 2
Agility (AGI): 2
Dexterity(DEX): 3
Intelligence (INT): 7
Will (VON): 4
Perception (PER): 9
— "I have a lot of points in PERCEPTION and INTELLIGENCE, but the rest are incredibly low. If for a normal human (Level 1) the average of the attributes is 5, my intelligence is better, but if it is 10, I think I am worse than a child."
'How do I use these free points?' Thought Edart, not seeing how he could apply these points, he started looking at the other information.
Works
Hunter (Common)(Level: 1)
Explorer(Epic)(Level: 1)
'I have two jobs? And one of them is epic? What does that mean?' With so many questions but no answers, he continued looking.
Skills
Tracking (Common)(Level: 1)
Club handling (Common)(Level: 1)
Mana Perception (Rare)(Level: 1)
Identify (Legendary)(Level: 3)
'These are the skills I got before, and there is another one. How will I use this? They also have a level and, what I think is a classification, what does it classify? The power of the skill? How difficult are you to get it?' Every second, Edart had more questions, but no answers.
Titles
Traveler Between Worlds (Unique)
'That title, then I really changed the world.' Edart felt happy to finally have an answer to one of his questions, but soon many other questions appeared in his mind. 'What world am I in? Are there humans here? Monsters? Dwarves? Beautiful ladies elves?????'.
After getting lost in thoughts about the beautiful ladies elves that could exist in this world, he regained focus. Finally, he looked at the last item on his status.
Items
System.
— "I have a system!!!!" Edart couldn't help but speak loudly when he saw the last item. — "How do I use this?"
Edart started thinking about what kind of system he had. He had already read several stories where the main character had a powerful system that helped him on his adventure. As he was thinking about various types of systems, a familiar voice interrupted his thinking.
— ["I'm not that kind of woman for you to think you can use me!" "Humpf!"].
Startled by the sudden voice, Edart almost fell from the tree, but managed to regain his balance and not fall.
Recognizing the voice as the same as before, from previous warnings, and seeing that he had no warning, Edart tried to start a conversation.
— "Who are you? Where are you?"
After he asked this there was no response for over a minute. Just as he was about to ask again, the voice appeared again.
— ["I… I don't know, I just know that I have a duty to help you with your adventure and I'm with you."]
Upon hearing the answer, Edart became excited and began to speak, afraid that if he took too long the voice would no longer be there.
- "Help me? So can you answer my questions?"
It took a while, but soon the voice came again.
— ["Yes, but I can only answer things that you know, I have no memories other than yours or those that I have acquired since you came into this world. I'm more like an assistant"]
— "Then you can't help me with my questions." Edart spoke dejectedly.
But to his surprise, the system started talking about what it knew.
—["Although I don't know much, while you were unconscious, I checked your status and when I was trying to figure out what each thing meant, I was able to use your 'identify' ability and get more information. I can show the notifications again if you want."]
Becoming happy again, Edart spoke quickly: —"Yes, I want to see, all the information you have can help me survive here, so don't hide anything."
Soon, a flood of information began to appear in his vision, making him a little dizzy. Unable to concentrate, he asked the system to show him one thing at a time, starting with the works.
Works
— ["Hunter:
Level 1
Rarity: Common.
Description: He who goes deep into the forest in search of prey for sustenance is able to follow his prey and stays hidden until the right moment to attack. Equipped with a variety of abilities to hide and track, also having strong but scarce hits.
Skills: Tracking."]
— ["Explorer:
Level 1.
Rarity: Epic.
Description: Attracted by the unknown, the explorer seeks to know everything and everyone, motivated to discover new things, it is common to be the first in new places but he is also the first to suffer danger. Danger and treasure are always walking side by side, be careful on your adventure.
Skills: Identify."]
Seeing the description of the two jobs, Edart noticed some similarities between them, each had a level, rarity, description and a list of skills that had only one skill each. 'I should gain more skill as I level up.' Edart thought.
Regarding rarity, the system could not say what it was exactly because it did not have enough information, so they came to the conclusion that it could be how strong the ability was or how many beings had this ability, and the higher the rarity, the fewer beings had this ability. Regarding the order of rarities, they still didn't know.
Curious about how he got the job of 'Explorer', the system said that it was when he arrived in the world, it was like he discovered a new place, so he got the job.
— "It makes sense, since this is a new world for me." Edart spoke with a thoughtful expression on his face.
Then he thought about how he could raise the level of his jobs, thinking about Earth, as a person works at his job, he will get better every day and gain skills, although he has nothing to show him the advancement of the job.
'It must be the same here, so I must discover more places and hunt animals to level up these jobs. Maybe killing monsters will also help you evolve.'
Leaving jobs aside, it was time for skills.
Skills
- ["Tracking:
Level 1
Rarity: Common.
Description: You have become a 'Hunter' and in order to hunt you need to track your prey. You can find and follow trails more easily.
Increases the stats of: Perception."]
—["Club Handling:
Level 1.
Rarity: Common.
Description: You tried using a tree branch as a weapon and discovered that you could. Your understanding of how to use clubs as a weapon and the damage inflicted increases the higher the level of this skill.
Increases the stats of: Strength and Dexterity."]
—["Mana Perception:
Level 1.
Rarity: Rare.
Description: When focusing on the world around you, you realize that everything is connected with a strange energy (Mana), from small ants to gigantic mountains, everything is filled with this energy. This skill helps in perceiving the surrounding energy, the higher the skill level, the better and easier it will be to perceive this energy.
Increases the stats of: Perception and Will."]
- ["Identify:
(Level 3).
Rarity: Legendary
Description: You can identify the world around you, the higher the level, the more descriptions are given.
Increases the stats of: Perception."]
After finishing reading each description, Edart had a better understanding of his skills, but unlike jobs, skills could affect his attributes, which meant that as the skill evolved, he would also become stronger. Still, a crucial point was missing. — "How do I use this skill, anyway?" Without finding the method of using the skills in the descriptions, he ended up letting his frustrations out and speaking out loud.
— ["I believe that you just need to think about the skill and have the intention of using it and it will activate itself"].
After this time interacting with the system, Edart began to trust the system more and didn't even notice these small changes. He quickly concentrated and tried to activate 'Identify'.
— ["Name: Tarkilia.
Rarity: Common.
Level: 25.
Description: A tree commonly found near the coast, its wood is strong and durable, used in shipbuilding and houses. Only the strongest lumberjacks can fell them."]
Soon information about the tree he was sitting on appeared. He read the information and then waited for it to disappear, then tried using it again and the same information appeared. Continuing to do this for a while longer and each time it became easier to activate the skill.
After 20 attempts, he felt tired and stopped practicing. Looking at the status, he saw that his mana was drained. — "Mana 3 / 16". Surprised by the rate of 0.5 mana per activation and seeing that his skill did not level up, he decided to use this skill more carefully in the future. 'Maybe I only gain experience by analyzing new things'. He thought.
Then it was time for his title.
— ["Name Title: Traveler Between Worlds
Rarity: Unique
Description: Broke the shackles of his own world and traveled to another. When meeting other people, they will be attracted to you out of curiosity.
Bonus:
+5 Charisma
Easier to get in touch with new people, they will be less suspicious of you."]
Titles seemed to be some kind of permanent bonus given after some achievement, although he didn't do anything and this title didn't help him survive, maybe in the future if he survived, joining the population of some city wouldn't be so difficult.
Although charisma didn't appear with his attributes, he didn't believe he had high charisma as he wasn't used to being popular in his life, so with these points, he must be close to the average of an ordinary person, he thought.
— ["Item Name: System.
Rarity: ?????????.
Type: Soul-Linked.
Damage: 0.
Durability: Linked to the User's Soul.
Description: An interaction system whose function is to accompany the user on their journey, organize and inform the user about their status, remind them of things, interact with the user so that they do not feel alone, guarantee the user's life is one of your priorities. In short, this is a support system."]
After he finished reading it, he was both excited and scared. Fear of not knowing how this "item" ended up with him, fear of having something linked to his soul (which he wasn't sure existed until now). That someone could control his soul. A while passed and he calmed down, it wasn't time to think about it.
Besides having his soul linked to the system, another thing that confused him was its rarity, he couldn't identify it. What did that mean? How powerful would this system be? Would he discover if he evolved 'Identify'? These were some of the questions on his mind.
Finally, what remained were his attribute points and his free points, which were 2, making it possible for him to gain two more with each level he gained.
Finally, Edart asked the system. — "System, do you know how I can assign free points?"
— ["As my role is to help you, I can assign these points wherever you want, just tell me which attribute I should put them in. You can also do this, just open the statuses and think about which attribute you want to put. I believe it is the same as using skills."]
Opening the status Edart thought. 'Which attribute should I put in?' After a while of thinking, he decided to put the points in strength. Soon after, he felt the strength in his muscles increase, his tiredness decreased, and the sensitivity in his chest where the rabbit hit decreased.
— "This feeling is great" Edart started thinking about gaining more levels as quickly as possible so he could feel that again.
Opening his attributes, he saw his new status.
Health: 12/17 +1.
Mana: 4/16
Stamina: 5/7 +1.
Free Attribute Points: 0
Vitality (VIT): 4
Strength (STR): 2 + 2
Endurance (END): 2
Dexterity (DEX): 3
Agility (AGI): 2
Intelligence (INT): 7
Will (VON): 4
Perception (PER): 9.
He realized that by adding these points into STRENGTH, in addition to increasing his strength, he also increased his LIFE and STAMINA by 1. It seemed like the attributes were interconnected in some way, it was something he needed to discover more in the future.
