After freeing Tsukasa I asked.
"Now what's the first case?" I asked as he gave me a file.
I opened the file and began reading the information.
We're investigating a murder to where a killer escaped to another city. but rumor has it there was another accomplice that's still here.
Maybe finding the accomplice means we can find the Killer too...
"Hey Haruki what happened when you were there for 3 months?" Asked Na-eun interrupting my thought process.
"Oh well this is weird but for me I was only there for 12 hours." I said as their eyes widened.
"Oh right Tsukasa I was meaning to ask you about the prison cell... What did you do to be imprisoned?"
"Oh don't worry about that Haruki." He said with a smile.
Something was definitely odd about this guy but I guess I'll have to trust him for now.
"Okay then... I have another question."
"Go ahead."
"It's about the whole player thing..."
"How do I know so much is that what you wish to ask?" It's as if he read my mind.
"Yeah that's what I was going to ask."
"Well it's easy I'm just smart enough to figure this out, I mean people coming and leaving and descending... It sounds too unbelievable that it becomes believable." He explained.
"I see..." His logic made no sense.
I then asked another question.
"Do we have any clues on this case?" I asked as he pointed towards Na-eun.
"H-Huh? You want me to explain?" She asked as he nodded.
"Okay so our case is the murder of Harley Beck! She was found dead at around 3:33-4:00 AM in her apartment." Na-eun was explaining the details of the case as I then began thinking.
"We also don't have any information on the murder weapon and we don't have information about how they got in, but our biggest hunch is through the window." Na-eun finally finished explaining.
"I believe that's enough information for now, lets go." I said as Luna followed me instantly.
"Good luck Player." Tsukasa said as Na-eun got ready and followed us.
"Oh you're coming Na-eun?" I asked as she nodded excitedly
"Well let's go then I'll find the culprit." I said as I Smiled and we continued walking.
We continued walking and I looked at Luna who was now holding onto me not wanting to let me go.
"Hey Luna I'm not going anywhere I promise." I said as I pat her head gently.
She seemed comforted now but still clinging onto me.
"I still don't believe it! You'd probably disappear if i let go of you any second!" She said as I Smiled and looked at her.
"If it makes you at ease, Here." I gave her my jacket.
"You can keep it." I said as she smiled and wore it instantly.
After around half an hour of walking we made it to the Apartment and entered.
"Okay so what floor was it?" I asked as Na-eun began looking at the ground nervously.
"Uhhmmm.... I forgot...?" She said as I was shocked at what she just said.
"How?" I asked as she replied.
"I don't know! I suddenly forgot!" She said as I began shaking her.
"Na-eun you need to remember!" I said as I kept shaking her.
Suddenly she stopped me and then said "Okay Okay I'll try..." As i waited for her.
After a few minutes She then begins walking without talking.
"Wait where are you going?" I asked as I then realized she might have remembered.
"Let's follow her Luna!" I said as we followed her.
eventually we were on room 505.
"This is it!" She said as I grabbed Na-eun.
"Thank you so much!" I said as we then tried to open the door.
"Na-eun... Do you happen to have a key?" I asked as she shook her head.
"I... I don't have a key... Sorry." She let her tongue out doing a oopsie gesture.
"Welp it's time to do something about it." I said as I then grabbed Na-eun's horn.
"Wait what are you doing? Haruki...? Haruki no. NO. NOOOOOOO." She was yelling as I stabbed the door knob with her horn breaking the knob and opening the door.
"There we go." I said as Na-eun was crying and patting her horns
"Hey Na-eun let's look around." I said as I then see the marks of blood.
Na-eun entered and we began looking around.
"Hey is that...?" I said as Na-eun pulled out a camera and took pictures of it.
"I think so!" She said as I grabbed the item.
Examining it more It was a puppet.
"Why were you taking pictures of it?" I asked more as she then replies.
"Well It seems Important. Besides I'm tasked with taking pictures of evidence. also... There are more puppets laying around." Na-eun explained as I then looked around.
There was... A lot of puppets around and it almost felt like they're watching us.
"Hey Luna, Na-eun... Do you guys feel that?"
"Yeah... It's like they're watching us." Na-eun said as she took pictures of the puppets and then, They began moving.
I pulled out my Daggers and then readied myself.
"Luna, Na-eun. get ready I don't think they'll be greeting us." I said as the other two readied themselves.
The puppets leapt at us and we began attacking.
One of the puppets kicked me in the face and before It hit the ground from impact I grabbed it.
"We must get rid of them!" I shouted as I threw away the puppet.
"We're trying!" Na-eun seemed to be struggling more as I then went to save her.
I attacked the puppet that leapt at Na-eun and then Looked at her.
"You okay?" I asked as she Nodded silently and then I diverted my attention to the puppets.
Eventually we defeated all of them. I sighed a sigh of relief and then looked at one of the puppets.
"It seems there was something here." I said grabbing the puppet and there was a piece of paper inside it.
"Oooh! New clues!" Na-eun says enthusiastically as I read the letter.
"I killed the culprit using these puppets." Is all that the letter said.
"So that's why we didn't find the murder weapon.. It was these puppets!" Na-eun said as she took pictures.
Getting flashed by a camera was not pleasing at all.
I gave the letter to Na-eun along with the puppet.
She put them in her bag as I then looked around more.
"Traces of a struggle are in the kitchen, So I assume the fight began there." I said as I looked more.
After looking through everything there were no other evidences that could be found.
"Alright, lets talk about everything we found." I said as we got together and began discussing it.
I visualized the murder in my head as I began seeing how It'd happen.
"The puppets would enter from that window there that's in the living room." I said pointing at the Window.
It had some scratch marks near it and a sign of being open before.
"The victim Harley Beck then ran to try and avoid said puppets so she went to the kitchen to grab a knife."
I visualized Harley running to the kitchen while puppets were chasing after her and then...
"She grabs a knife to try to attack which is why there was a knife here." I pointed at the ground next to where the white layout of the body was.
"The struggling happened as soon as she got the knife and kept going until she got in the middle of the living room."
"There a puppet would attack her from behind I'd assume with some kind of rope." I was speculating on whether she died with the use of a rope or the use of a weapon.
"Then these puppets stopped moving after killing the victim, and they only began moving once we made it to them." I explained the entire crime scene from what i visualized.
"Hm... That is actually good!" Na-eun says as Luna starts clapping
"Very good theory" Luna said as I then replied.
"It's more or less the actual crime and not a theory Luna." I looked at the two girls and then looked at the door.
"Uhh right.. How are we going to fix this?" I asked as I pointed at the door.
I looked at Na-eun who quickly crosses her arms above her head hinting that "No we are not going to use my horns!"
"Relax I have an idea." I said as i used my skill Multi-dimensional space.
I began looking through my inventory and found some materials from Slimes i killed.
"If i put this and then mix it with this..." I began doing stuff to the door.
"Come on lets go." I said and as we left the room.
I closed the door to which was now locked.
"now no one will know." I said as we left.
So far all these clues lead to a puppeteer.
This guy can control puppets and make them do his bidding... but If he was controlling them... doesn't he have to be close...?
Wouldn't that mean... That when we were attacked... We were being watched?
I stopped walking as I turned around looking at the top of any buildings.
There was no one there.
"Is everything okay Haruki?" Luna asked as she looked at me, I quickly replied.
"Yeah I'm fine." I said as we continued walking.

I almost got caught by that Kid...
Luckily for me I managed to stay hidden.
I'll have to make sure they don't spot me. otherwise I'll end up in jail.
Mark my words Tsukasa, I will make your agency fall.
