Chapter 22 - Convocation of the Gods

---Strength: 3.53

Intelligence: 3.03

Stamina: 3.39

Stat Limit: 5

Energy: 6999%

Leo calmed himself down.

He had finally gained enough energy to max out his stats, and decided to do so to be better prepared for the things ahead.

He turned off the fire and sat alone in the dark, crosslegged.

To prepare for this, he had killed more than a dozen Aberrations, them being aplenty with his increasing proximity to the 'Frontline'.

Leo mentally willed for the Energy Points to flow into his stats.

---Strength: 5.00

Agility: 5.00

Vitality: 5.00

Intelligence: 5.00

Stamina: 5.00

Stat Limit: 5

Energy: 559%

*BOOM*

The itch that took hold of Leo almost made him roar.

The ground he sat on instantly gained a few more cracks, as the pure power overflowed from within his body.

After five points, every increase in would be astronomical.

With 5 points in Strength, an ordinary person could lift close to two tons, while Leo could lift about five tons, and generate a force of ten tons.

With 5 points in Agility, Leo could run at speeds of close to forty meters per second. His speed was so fast, he could almost leave afterimages when he ran normally.

With 5 points in Vitality, he could heal dozens of times faster than the average human. In fact, the injuries he got during the fight with the Barbarians had been entirely healed.

With 5 points in Intelligence, he could comprehend most things with relative ease. If he was a Warlock, the long period spent comprehending new Spells would be reduced to nothing.

With 5 points in Stamina, he could fight for more than a few hours non-stop.

One should know that Official Warlocks had stats below three points, and even Master and Grandmaster Warlocks would not exceed five points in any Stat.

In other words, Leo was inching closer and closer to upper level combat power among mortals in this world.

The Gods were a different story.

Leo's body ballooned in size to more than two meters for a few seconds before finally shrinking.

His muscles interwoven in a scary density, and his bones were harder than steel.

At this point, most cold weapons had lost their effect on him.

In fact, if he was still in his previous world, pistols would have barely broken his skin.

Leo clenched his fist and took a deep breath, standing on his feet and carefully controlling the newly gained strength.

Taking a horse stance, he punched the air in front of him.

*BOOM*

A sonic boom resounded, shaking the branches of all he surrounding trees violently. Leo kept on punching, trying to gain full control of his strength.

The sonic booms resounded in the forest.

A pair of eyes watched the young man from afar, the majesty of the being it belonged to attacking the senses of the beholder.

He stared at the training Leo, eyes narrowed, before he nodded in acceptance.

``He shall do nicely...``

[A\N: For all the slow ones, that was a God!

You'll see the follow up in a few chapters later]

...

``Warlocks are fascinating creations.``

An ethereal voice began.

It's owner soon came into view, a beautiful female of truly epic proportions, sitting at a table with a few others, in a castle that seemed to be the perfect fusion of architecture and greenery.

The woman had a head full of lustrous dark green hair, and wore scanty clothing made of leaves and vines.

She continued speaking, the power in her voice shaking the surroundings.

``We Gods split off a tiny portion of our power and bloodline into mortal humans, allowing it to absorb Diavolos Essence, growing the mortal's combat prowess, and, in effect, our own...

``Basically free labour. Or don't you think so?``

She smiled slightly.

``It is an equivalent contract, Beatrice. And cut this nonsense, we're here to discuss the Otherworld.``

Septum said with a shake of his head.

Any mortal fortunate enough to learn of this meeting would shake all over in excitement.

The sheer status of the beings gathered here today was enough to shake the outside world.

They were GodKings!
