Sogen exited Somaal City. Suddenly a quest appears from system.
"Go to Hamar Town and convince Rudriger a smith to let you work in his shop. Reward-:1000 coins(it is system coins not coins in real world) and Grade 1 Earth shattering pill. "
Sogen was surprised to see the system window because he thought it was all a dream. But now he believes it was all real.
"What is the point of system now I have been banished from my clan." He said.
But then he accepts whatever is happening with a sigh.
"System what can these coins be used for."
System replies these can be used for exchange items in system shop.
He asks the system to open system shop.
"A notification appears opening system shop, host cultivation low level detected, shop adjusted to low level."
As he sees the shop he was shocked. He says, "Grade 5 pills are available! even our clan elders and counsellors have just heard about them and there are so many and it's just a low grade system shop then what about mid and high level. What! There are even precious herbs, manuals, techniques etc."
"He sees everything at store for some minutes but each one's price is 30,000 system coins or above. He can only buy low grade pills are available in less price."
"He closes the system window and starts his journey towards Hamar Town. It took him 3 days to reach there in cart. He gives the cart driver 30 silver coins and then sees towards the entrance gate of town. He easily passed the gate and sees the whole town."
" It was just like any other town. Then he first goes to a restaurant, he was eating his food but suddenly his gaze shifts towards a commotion. 5 boys about 20 years, were collecting money in the name of protection,calling the owner and even harassing the counter girl. Sogen thinks that he would have helped the girl but his cultivation is too low and all 5 are 2nd stage cultivators. It's not good for him to make enemies on his first day, but if they try to do anything disgusting he will step in even if his cultivation is low."
In this commotion, soon the owner comes,it was a old lady. She handed them money and asks them to leave. All the Boys start to get out of the shop. One of the boys noticed Sogen and says, " Boy, are you new in town?." To which Sogen nodded in affirmative.
" It's your first time in town so we will not take protection money for 1st month but be prepared for next month it's 5 silver coins." The boy said.
To which he again replies in affirmative.
1 gold coin=100 silver coins. Even though it seems less compared to Sogen's money. But some people are not able to earn 1000 gold coins in their lifetime.
Then the boys leave the restaurant. Everything returns back to normal but there still was sadness on owner and the lady on the counter. Suddenly a 'quest' appears which said that he has to collect information about those thugs and Rudriger's Workshop and reward will be 100 system coins.
"He stands from his table and reach the counter. He pays his bill and asks the lady about those thugs. She tells him that they are the people of village chief, who is a tyrant, cruel and bad person. He is a 'fourth stage Earth Realm Cultivator'.They come here every month collecting protection fees from everyone. Those who don't pay protection fees are either beaten or they breaks their shop furniture. You are new so be careful of them. To which he nodded. Then he asks her if there is any workshop nearby or in town. The lady thinks for a moment and then tells him that there is a workshop in town whose owner is an old man named Rudriger but he hardly comes out of his shop, talks very less and don't accept any workers, she gives Sogen his workshop's address. Sogen thanks the lady and comes out of the shop."
"He starts to search for Rudriger's Workshop. Some time later he finds the shop near the main road of town. He goes in the workshop, there are very few weapons on the show on the walls. He sees an old man.He has white hairs with beard, his body was fully build as if he has trained for years, he was carving on his weapons. Even though he was looking like an old man, something seems different, he seems full of energy but there was not a sign of any expression on his face."
"Sogen goes to the counter and asks the man if he is Mister Rudriger. The old man replies with a yes without even seeing towards Sogen.
Sogen says, " Mister I want to work here in the workshop. Can you give me work."
Now the old man shifted his gaze and sees him.
"Boy I don't accept workers and you are too young for this job. Also it will take me some months to train a newbie like you, I don't think you have sufficient knowledge of smithy or any metal work." The old man said.
Suddenly a system notification appears before Sogen which tells that daily reward granted 'Basic Smithy Techniques and Knowledge'. Sogen thinks what kind of system is this only helps me when I needed the most. Shouldn't it has given me this before, how am I gonna attain this knowledge in short time, it will take me many days to read and master it. Suddenly he feel a surge of information in his mind and he feels as if he knows about smithy and metal work.
He says to the old man that he knows about basic about Smithy and he can help the old man. Sogen tells him that the carvings he is making on the sword is used many years ago which means peace. He sees two ores on the counter and tells that the little ore is cold iron ore and bigger one is black iron ore. Hearing all this old man shows a slight surprised emotion. He collects his thoughts for a moment and says to Sogen," Boy you have good eyes, even many experienced blacksmiths can't tell difference between these two ores at a glance. They can only tell by their textures. I can hire you but I can only give you food, shelter and 20 silver coins for helping me in sop. Are you willing."
Sogen nodded his head in affirmative. A notification popped before Sogen which says," Quest completed, Rewards-:1000 system coins and Grade 1 Earth shattering pill. Rewards are stored in inventory."
"The old man asks Sogen to follow him and he shows Sogen his room which was like any normal room. The old man tells him that he will tell him about work tomorrow and he should rest today. Then he leaves the room."
