Chereads / Fox girl's double life / Chapter 5 - Ch.05 Midnight hurricane

Chapter 5 - Ch.05 Midnight hurricane

The next morning, I was a little bit tired from fighting at midnight. I took a coffee to get over my drowsiness. I looked at the clock and surprised.

"Crap! I gotta go before school starts."

I quickly packed my backpack and headed to school. When I entered the class, I saw Linda with a serious look on her face in her seat. I couldn't find her usual bright figure.

"Good morning, Linda."

"Yeah, good morning, Mia."

Her voice was in anger. I noticed something had happened.

"What's wrong, Linda? Is something wrong?"

Linda opened her mouth after a few seconds of silence.

"Mia, can we talk after lunch?"

I hesitated for a while.

"Ok."

"I'll see you on the rooftop after lunch."

Linda took the textbook out of her backpack to prepare for the class.

'I wonder what's wrong with Linda.'

Thinking about why she had that look on her face, The one possibility came out of my head.

'Don't tell me she noticed my identity.'

I hope she didn't find out about my identity, like Violet.

I couldn't focus on class because I was thinking about Linda. I hope I was wrong. After I took lunch at the cafeteria, I quickly headed to the rooftop. I saw that Linda wasn't alone. She was with two students. One was a female student with yellow bobbed hair and sharp eyes, and the other was a male student over 170 cm tall with a sleek body.

"Mia, this is Nina and Johnny."

Johnny was in the same class as me. He often looked at me with a smiling face. I hope he doesn't have a crush on me because I'm an adult who transformed into a teenager.

Nina is a problem child who's always using bad language and being violent. I heard she has greaser friends. I asked Linda.

"So why did you want to meet me here?"

"It's about the boxing club members."

I relieved in my heart by hearing that it wasn't about my identity. I had a hunch at Linda's answer.

"Let me guess. They bullied you, right?"

"Not me. One of my friends was bullied by boxing club members. and nobody helped her."

I saw Linda clenching her fists with both hands.

"Oh linda… I'm sorry to hear that."

Nina shouted with an angry face.

"That's why we decided to kill them all."

My eyes widen when I hear Nina's brutal mind.

"What?!"

Linda stares at Nina with a disapproving look.

"Nina, there would be no killing. We're just going to beat them."

Still brutal. I never expected Linda and her friends to be planning this.

"Did I hear something wrong?"

"You didn't hear wrong. We're going to beat them up."

I sighed, a mixture of worry and understanding in her eyes.

"Linda, I know you're angry, but don't do something reckless."

"Then do we have to hold it even if they're bullying us?!"

Linda started to get mad, and I was speechless. I couldn't say we had to hold it in. It could make them more angry. I couldn't deny that boxing club members are bullying. They didn't get a proper punishment. Because of rich kids like Rachel. I heard her father is the president of a huge company. I will get in trouble if I get involved in this. But I couldn't stop thinking that I wanted to beat the whole boxing club. I remembered the fight back on the rooftop. I also thought boxing club members could bother me enough to find out the truth about finding my family's killer.

'Hard to say yes.'

I looked at Linda with a serious expression.

"Linda, do you really want to do this?"

"Yes. I have to do this."

Linda explains her plan.

"Listen, after the sunset, Rachel and the club members are going to have a party at Torino Beach. We are going to disguise ourselves to make sure they won't notice us."

Nina said afterwards

"Our purpose is to head to the beach and kill Rachel and club members and bury them in the beach sand."

Linda shouted.

"Like I said, Nina, that's out of line."

"They're violence is out of the line too!"

"That doesn't mean we have to kill them."

As I thought, Nina is a really violent girl. I hope she doesn't end up being a prisoner by killing someone. Linda seems really upset about Nina's aggressive attitude.

'It looks like my friend is getting emotional about being bullied. I had to deal with them before they arrived at the beach.'

"I'm sorry, Linda. I couldn't do it. count me out."

"Coward!" said Nina.

"Nina!" Linda shouted and said to me,.

"I understand if you don't want to do this. I won't force you."

At least Linda seems understandable, unlike Nina. Johnny seems disappointed in me.

After school, I head back to my house and prepare to fight against the boxing club members. I transformed into adult form and changed my clothes. I wore a white shirt with black jeans and a leather jacket. I also wear a white fox mask to make sure nobody will see my face. I saw the mirror and sighed.

"I really look like a villain."

I didn't want to dress like this, but I have to deal with those club members first. I don't want Linda and her friends to get in trouble or hurt.

The time is ticking. And I see the sun is going down.

"Well. It's time to move."

The stars reflect on the water's surface. The cool breeze is playing with my long orange hair.

I'm doing this to protect my friends. I saw twenty boxing club members partying in the middle of the campfire. There were many kinds of delicious dishes and drinks on the folding table around it. I saw Rachel there. But I couldn't see Maya.

They are eating and drinking while laughing. Some students were dancing, and some people kissed each other.

"It's time to end the party."

I hid behind the rock and used magic. When I tried to use magic, my ears and tail automatically showed up. It's natural for the Fox tribe. I used wind magic to make a hurricane on the beach sands. When I saw that my hurricane had become a sand hurricane, I sent the sand hurricane to the party place. It's a hurricane made with minimal power.

They were still having fun. But when they saw the sand hurricane, their faces turned pale. They tried to run away, but it was too late. The hurricane struck all of them. I heard yelling. I can see they couldn't open their eyes because of the sand. It didn't make them float inside the hurricane. So I use more power to make it strong. When the hurricane became stronger, the bodies of the club members started to float. They were circling inside the hurricane. Now I hear they're scrambling for help. I hesitated for a while and extinguished the hurricane. The hurricane is getting weaker and disappearing from the air. I saw them collapse on the sand. I used a concealment spell to hide my fox ears and tails.

I look around for Rachel. Suddenly, I saw a girl standing in the middle of the collapsed club members. She was wearing a swimsuit covered with a lot of sand. It was Rachel. Rachel saw me and stared with anger.

"You… ruined my party."

I can't believe Rachel didn't collapse by my sand hurricane.

"Who the hell are you?"

It's good thing that I wear this fox mask. I said to Rachel with a smiling face.

"A witch who wants to punish you."

I lied and said that I was a witch because I wanted to scare Rachel. But Rachel didn't feel any fear from me.

"Punished? No one can punish me."

I guess my word made her a mad berserker. But it doesn't matter. I opened my hand and was ready to use another magic spell. Rachel shouted with anger and charged into me like a mad bull. I used my power and made a round blue ball of light on my hand.

"Energy ball!"

My energy ball flew toward Rachel and hit her stomach.

"Gah!"

Normally, energy balls can neutralize enemies. But if I use more mana to boost the power of the energy ball, it can break someone's bones or make them unconscious. I used a powerful energy ball to teach a lesson to Rachel. Rachel collapsed on the sand.

"I guess it was a bit too much."

Now that I deal with these boxing club members, Linda and her friends won't need to fight with them. I'm sure they'll be surprised if they see this. I left the beach before Linda and her friends arrived here.
