Its towering marble columns framed the entrance, with intricate engravings and decorations adorning the exterior walls. Inside, the air was thick with tension, the atmosphere reflecting the gravity of a certain news that had just been heard.

People hurried about with tense expressions etched in their faces, their steps hurried but purposeful, as if driven by an invisible force of urgency. Courtiers and officials moved about with barely-contained anxiety, whispering among themselves.

Asides the shock from the unexpected news, the people in the building were also tense for another reason. The king of the nation, King Solomon Jacquers himself was expected to be around today, a rare occurrence that heightened the anxiety of everyone
