Lacey
Once I'm in my room, I decide a nice hot shower will help me relax from the tension Wolf always seems to cause. I strip the clothes from my body, setting his sweater aside so I can remember to give it back. I don't want that thing longer than I need to have it. I toss the rest of my clothes in my hamper and turn my shower on.
I step inside the shower and just stay under the shower head for a few minutes. After I feel my muscles loosen up and my jaw unclench I go about cleaning myself.
I step out of the shower and wrap a towel around my body and then I wrap my hair up in a hair towel. After finishing up my post-shower routine, I throw back my covers and curl up in my bed. I go to turn on a TV show but my phone rings. I answer it before I see who is calling.
"Hey are you alright?" Wolf's voice comes over the phone. I look at the caller id because I don't remember giving him my number and see that it is in fact him.
"How did you get my number Wolf?" I say not bothering to hide my annoyance.
"Your brother gave it to me awhile ago little mouse. Are you alright though? One of the girls in your hallway got attacked and I wanted to make sure they didn't hurt you." Wolf asks sounding serious for once in his life.
"I'm fine Wolf. Leave me alone. I was about to watch my show." I roll my eyes snuggling further into my blankets.
"I'm coming over. Your brother is away for the show he is doing and he wants me to make sure you don't get hurt."
"Don't you dare. I'm fine. I don't need a babysitter."
"Think of me as a bodyguard little mouse. I'll stay by the door in that comfy chair you have."
"You're not even supposed to stay in my room past curfew Wolf." I say. I really don't want him here.
"I'm already at your dorm. I'm on my way up." His tone makes it obvious that there will be no discussion about this.
"Why are you in my dorm. Your dorm is on the other side of the school." I roll out of my bed and walk towards the door so I can open it when he gets here.
"I was visiting Vanessa. She's going through some things so I cheered her up." He says.
I hear a knock on the door and open it to see a grinning Wolf. I roll my eyes but step back so he can come in.
"Is she one of your bed warmers? How did you cheer her up? Did you kiss the wounds better?" I snark.
"Are you jealous little mouse? You know I only have eyes for you." He smirks at me.
"Why would I be jealous?" I scoff.
"Mhmm." Wolf says as his eyes scan my body. "I like what you're wearing little mouse."
I look down and realize I'm wearing an oversize shirt from my brother and my short sleep shorts.
"I stole the shirt from Caleb. You know I like my oversized shirts." I walk towards my bed and curl up tucking the blankets under my chin. I don't like how exposed Wolf makes me feel. He makes me nervous for some reason. He has always picked on me and he is one of the only dancers who challenged me.
"From Caleb? You sure about that?" Wolf cocks an eyebrow and sits down on my comfy recliner that is near my door. His legs stretch at and he looks as if he is the one who owns this apartment.
"Who else would it be for dumbass." I snark.
Wolf makes a face but leaves it at that. Sudden there is a knock on my door. I look at Wolf in shock knowing that if he is caught in my room this late it could mean big trouble for both of us. They could take away our opportunities at the solos and duets.
"Room check. Come open the door Lacey." Riley one of the leaders of my dorm shouts on the other side.
I look at Wolf and motion him towards the closet on the other side of my room. He gets up and speed walks there tucking himself inside and shutting the door. Room checks aren't heard of but they are uncommon. I walk to the door and let Riley in.
"Hey Riley. What's up?"
"We have to do those damn room checks because one of the girls was attacked." She walks in the room and I pray that she doesn't check the closet.
"Oh that sucks. Were you asleep already? I know you like to go to bed early."
"I wasn't asleep but I had just gotten in bed. I think you're all good Lacey. You never cause trouble." Riley smiles at me quickly and turns around to walk out of the room. I shut the door after her.
"You're good Wolf." I say as I open the closet door so he can get out.
He steps out but instead of walking to sit back in the recliner he catches me by the waist and pulls me against him.
"Let me go Wolf. I don't think this is what my brother meant when he said to take care of me." I try shoving but it's no use. He's way stronger than me.
"I caught you little mouse." He laughs.
"Haha the big bad Wolf caught me. Now let me go." I squirm trying to get some space away from him. The heat of his body is beginning to distract me.
"Come on let's practice. I know that you want that duet. If not with me with one of the boring guys. I can help ensure you get it." He leans down and tucks a lose strand of hair from my braid behind my ear.
"When are you leaving? I think I'm safe." I lean as far away as I can when I'm trapped in his arms.
"I'm staying the night. Your brother already knows. He doesn't want you alone tonight Lacey." Wolf says and I know there will be no discussion because he is calling me by my actual name.
"Fine but keep your ass in that recliner the whole night." I say as he finally lets me go.
"Deal little mouse. Good night. Don't let the Wolf bite." He smirks and sits in the recliner.
I throw a blanket at him and slide into my bed rolling over so my back is to him. I finally drift off to sleep.
