Lothric Sulyvahn stood back, straightened up, and coughed three times to get Bonnie's attention.
"Cough, cough, cough."
Bonnie snapped out of her shocked state and handed a rectangular case to Eli. When he opened it, he saw a cylinder-shaped item, similar to a scroll, inside the case.
"Master Eli, if you place a drop of your blood into the scroll, it will be activated."
Lothar told him, handing him a needle to prick himself.
"Okay, if we're not careful, these could eventually give me an STD. I might as well use my own shortsword."
Eli thought as he pulled out his elven shortsword from his regular pouch and pricked his finger with the tip, placing a drop of his blood into the cylinder. The item began to glow as a vertical white line split the cylinder into two pieces, revealing a map inside that could be rolled back up like a scroll.
"Master Eli, I'm sure Bonnie explained all the information about our premium map to you. To add a quest to it, simply place the quest sheet into the closed cylinders, and the map will absorb it. The only downside is that it will devour the sheet, so you won't get it back. Be careful when adding new maps, as destroying another person's map without their permission could be considered stealing. Fortunately, that's the only side effect of one of Miss Willow's creations."
Eli dropped the scroll as if it were covered with a plague.
"Are you sure it's safe, Mr. Sulyvahn?"
"Heh, I see you're familiar with Miss Willow's work. Don't worry, this is not the first map she's created for us. We've had no incidents with her maps. You should rest assured, it's safe. Not the first creation of hers."
Sulyvahn said, scratching the back of his head.
"You're not exactly reassuring me, Mr. Sulyvahn."
"Don't worry. When that witch is forced to work by her apprentice, she always produces excellent work. Tabitha is a godsend to Carthage."
Sulyvahn added, clasping his hands together in a prayer-like manner.
This reminded Eli of Tabitha hitting Willow with a broom to force her to work, like a child in a sweatshop.
"If you're happy with your purchase, Master Eli, I will leave you with our most respectable clerk in Carthage, Miss Bonnie."
Sulyvahn said. He then left, leaving Eli with Bonnie, during which Eli stowed the map into his regular pouch. Turning to leave, his arm was pulled back by Bonnie, who had half of her body on the desk.
Getting a better look, he saw that the two top buttons on her vest, were undone revealing her Voluptuous breasts.
"Maybe when you're done with your quest, you can come to my place and have a fun time."
She gave him her most charming smile, then handed him a piece of paper with her address on it.
"Now that the Guild Master has revealed that he's a high elf, I'm not letting him go! I know it's going to be sleazy of me, but I need him to father my child. Elves are too proud to leave their children in danger. I just need to take a fertility potion when we do the deed, and then I'll have my sugar daddy for life."
Eli was about to leave in a cheerful state because he was going to get some action tonight, after he was done with his quest of eliminating wolves. Before touching the door and leaving, he heard a loud scream of a woman.
"Kyaa!"
Looking back, he saw that it was an elven girl in a clerk's outfit who had been hit to the ground by some kid. She was surrounded by 6 girls and a wannabe-looking knight in armor that really served no function except for decoration. He was wearing your typical hero protagonist outfit which provided no defense whatsoever in any important body part.
"You stupid woman! I am the Hero Arthur, and I told you to bring me a quest so that my name can be spread all over the Ottoman kingdom."
The elven girl covered her cheek with her hand and told the wannabe hero:
"As I said, Sir, I cannot give you any quests that are higher than your rank. As a D Rank, the highest mission I can give you is a goblin elimination mission. It's a D Rank and could be close to a C Rank mission, depending on the size of the goblin horde."
"Stop speaking to me in that manner, you lowly creature. It seems I need to teach you a lesson."
He said. As he raised his longsword to strike the elf girl, a loud bang rang out, causing him to drop his weapon as a hole tore through his iron arm braces.
Arthur clutched his injured arm and scanned the area for his attacker. He spotted a dark elf standing near the guild door, holding a metallic object emitting smoke, with a furious expression directed at him.
Unbelievably, this commoner had dared to injure him, the hero of the Ottoman Empire.
"I'm going to have to teach this knife-ear a lesson!"
Arthur declared.
"Carrie, heal me now."
He ordered the Priestess of his group.
"Yes, Sir Hero. It will be my honor to heal you!"
She responded, taking her priest's staff and aiming at Arthur's right arm.
"Second-Tier: minor healing!"
She chanted as a magic circle appeared next to Arthur's right arm, closing his wound and healing him.
Upon seeing his arm fully restored, Arthur erupted into maniacal laughter.
"Ahahahah, no matter what you commoners do, you'll never be able to defeat someone with noble blood in their veins."
He attempted to move his right arm to pick up his sword, but a sharp pain shot through him, feeling like a hundred needles stabbing his arm.
"Ahhhhh"
The priestess then used her appraisal skill on Arthur and concluded that his arm was broken.
'Oh no, I can't heal this damage. It must have been caused by a Third-Tier spell. The item that the Dark Elf was holding must be an artifact that can cast Third-Tier magic.'
"Carrie, I thought you healed my arm. What's the meaning of this."
"Sir Hero, the elf is using a Third-Tier artifact. I can only heal damage from a Second-Tier spell and below."
"You're useless! Guess I'll just use my left hand."
Before he could reach his sword, both Arthur and Eli were captured by ropes that appeared out of thin air, tying them up.
"What's the meaning of this!"
Yelled out the Guild Master.
One of the front desk clerks went directly to the Guild Master and explained what had happened. Lothric Sulyvahn slowly walked with two guild clerks towards Arthur's location. He tried to contain all the rage and anger he was feeling towards this stupid boy.
"Sir Arthur, if it weren't for your Hero title, I would have had you skinned alive for what you did to one of my clerks. You are still allowed to take quests from the guild, but you are not permitted to set foot in the Guild Hall ever again. I will report this to the Church of Hestia. Now, take your quest and leave."
He glared at Arthur's harem, making them shriek in terror. Sulyvahn then turned towards the two other guild clerks.
"Check to see if your team member is alright, see if she's injured, give her potions to heal, and let her take a day off!"
"Yes, sir."
Came the reply from the two clerks.
Ding!
[Secret Quest: Teach the hero a lesson]
[Reward: Normal White-tier item Classical Acoustic Guitar]
"Now, what am I going to do with you, my dear Master Eli Rivers? You broke the guild rules by fighting inside the Guildhall, but you did it to protect one of the clerks. So, I can't really punish you. Prove yourself in three more quests, and I'll upgrade your Rank to D."
"And why would you do that, Guild Master Sulyvahn?"
Sulyvahn held his hand up, covering half of his face.
"Because I'm not an idiot like the Nobles of this city. I know when I see someone who can get things done. And you, my dear Master Eli, can get things done, especially with those two artifacts you have on you."
The ropes soon disappeared from Eli, letting him move freely again.
"Guess I'll leave to complete those quests. It was three, correct?"
"Yes, but please don't do gathering quests. Jumping ranks while doing those will bring down your reputation."
"Don't worry, Guild Master. I'm doing a wolf extermination mission."
Leaving the guild, Eli opened his .44 magnum, took out the empty cartridge, and threw it to the ground. Before it even touched the ground, it disappeared. Checking his small pouch, he saw that the cartridge had automatically gone inside it.
"Well, looks like the pouch is working. It's going to collect all my empty cartridges, and the shock absorption enchantment in the gloves works, so they won't break my hand."
Eli spent a few hours going to two of the five locations where the wolves were spotted. He got 18 kills and traded them all to the system store. He received 400 MSP and two E-Rank magic stones. He received 40 MSP for two of the wolves because they had magic stones, instead of the regular 20 MSP.
Before leaving, Eli took his Classical Acoustic Guitar out.
+Normal White grade-tier Classical Acoustic Guitar:
Classical Acoustic Guitar 39-in Full-Size Classical Acoustic Guitar Classic Natural with Nylon Strings, storage back bag, shoulder strap, 1 set replacement strings, and 3 guitar picks.
"Oh my god, I just received a God Damn Guitar. I'm mediocre with a guitar, like the stereotypical Asian; I'm only good at the piano and the violin. But let's ask the system to see if I can get anything to help."
"System, do you have any musical talents I could purchase in the system's store?"
[Musical talents have been placed on the system screen for the host to view. Please shop with discretion.]
Eli purchased:
+ Guitar proficiency for 500 MSP
+Vocal Proficiency control low pitch tone for 1,000 MSP
+MOSSBERG MAVERICK 88 SECURITY- Gauge 12 GA PUMP ACTION, 8 ROUNDS, Barrel Length 20 inch for 250 MSP
+250 Rounds of 12ga Ammo #4 shot for 120 MSP.
Eli put everything away and practiced changing his vocal tone to be similar to that of Johnny Cash, his favorite Western singer.
